Question about the Magellan trial. if I sign up and choose to cancel during the 30 day trial period. Does that mean I'll get a refund or does the "paid" time start after the initial 30 day period? Tried looking up info on this but haven't found anything. Would try it out with a much calmer mind if I knew I'll get charged only after the initial 30 day trial has expired. Thanks. :)
It was an honour to have my music featured in this vid! I've noticed how long the shots on the map are and it's incredible how much it helps the flow of visual information; the fact that the video doesn't cut from one part of the map to the other and instead flows smoothly and floats for an entire minute or so might seem like a detail, but I really appreciate the effort you put in keeping it all in one cut. It helps visualise the geopolitics in a much more comprehensive way; many TV documentaries would cut from a shot of Anatolia to a shot of Syria, whereas that continuous moving shot really emphasises the movement of armies and the global nature of the conflict. Amazing job man!
Thank you so much for really appreciating this. Your music gives it just the right balance. You have a majority of lower tones (high tones have a way of interfering with dialogue) and a great beat that keeps the flow going. I had to loop your music, but having those drums kick in between periods of that lovely tone and background vocals gave me the time to make my transitions between various fronts. PLEASE make more music like this - its so good. I also referred you to some others in the RUclips History community - so I'm hoping you get more subs / views etc.

Now the several years in Arabic in the chapter has a number which is odd, more than 1 but less than 10 so it could mean 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9. Now here the followers of Muhammad (PBUH) were refered to or the Christians in general because the new Muslims placed themselves as the followers of the Last Prophet and will go on to be the forerunners of a Christian nation, they did not anticipate opposition from Roman empire in the future. The Quran refers to itself as the miracle of Muhammad as Jesus had the bringing back the dead to life, Moses the Magicians of Pharaoh, splitting of the Red Sea, other Prophets with their own specific era related miracles (peace be upon them all) but for the last Prophet it was the Quran, as everlasting miracle so as it stands the Roman empire came back and won against the Persians within under 9 years. But the chapter was revealed in 622 and it was assuring the Roman Victori which was a prophesy.

Fantastic video. It's made even more so when one realizes what you're going through with the fires and are still able to post such a well researched, animated, and narrated video. I think it shows a level of dedication and wanting to provide a high degree of quality to the viewers that you don't often see in other channels.

Ah reminds me of when I first started watching your War of the Worlds series with the Early Muslim Conquests. I think the very first video of yours I watched was about the Punic Wars, and I think it was on Epimetheus's channel. That's how I found you, and I've not regretted subscribing even once 👍
I've been wanting to do this for a while. I put it up to vote and half the people wanted Byzantium and the other half wanted the end of the Reconquista - had to go for both.

The fall of Constantinople had a silver lining for the West. It led to the discovery of the New World. The West easily surpassed the Ottomans with the resources of the New World.

Another great video from Flash point History. Nice visuals. I love the holy war battles of the "old world." The Levant, Europe, Arabia, The Crusaders, The Turks, etc. I envision this will be at least three parts. I haven't watched the 2nd part as I hadn't watched this part. But I know Constantinople didn't fall until The Turks invaded in 1453? But great video. These videos always make me want to listen to Holy Wars by Megadeth. Im weird I know.
I wanted to give people an Idea of the breath of the conflict between Islam and the Byzantine. It started in 634 and went till 1453. It was huge. Happy that you like the series and let me know what you think of the next video - always good to see your comments btw
Did you hear about the dialogue that took place between Heraclius, Emperor of the Romans, and Abu Sufyan, the leader of Quraysh , after he received the letter of the prophet ?
Ah, finally I can enjoy a new video from you. The production values improve with every single video. Can you do an entire history of the Eastern Roman Empire as a series? In the great detail that you did with entire Reconquista. And yes, practice your pronounciation (why is the spell check showing this word as misspelled?) because you still pronounce everything very... Americanly. :D EDIT: FLASH POINT HISTORY HYYYYYYYPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I put this up for vote a while ago in my community page. People wanted a bonus episode first - plus what happened on the Bosphorus in 1453 would be tied into what would happen in Andalusia in 1492
I put this up to vote in the community section - it got over 1200 votes and it was split 50 - 50 between Constantinople and Reconquista. So will create this series and then get back to reconquista and Isabella by Jan-Feb
Hello, Flash Point I got to say I am really loving the videos you present to this channel. So much that I have decided to subscribe (especially after the Black Death Documentary). You share a similar presentation & narrative style by the RUclipsr Epic History TV (who's videos I love to watch). Some hints of the RUclipsr Kings & General's gaming gameplay footage. I know HistoryMarche corroborates with Epic History with his videos & I saw you suggested him on your channel. Epic History has one of the best & excellent series covering the Napoleonic Wars and other topics, so if anyone is interested, check him out as well. I hope to see a future documentary corroboration between you both (possibly Kings & Generals) in a series. Overall, excellent video & I look forward to more of your future content.
@@FlashPointHx, you're welcome. I just thought your videos (most of all the Black Death vid) had a good balance of each channel's best traits while under the video guidance & help by HistoryMarche. Overall, I'm glad I found another channel that shares the same passion for history & provides a different perspective of past events.

Quick lil correction: the Rashidun caliphate was not 'overthrown'. It was just naturally ended, and the 5th caliph handed over leadership to the Umayyads. The Rashidun were not a dynasty and the name was only given to them (the first 4 caliphs of Islam) well after the era, based on a prophetic narration where the prophet said there would be 30 years of 'rightly guided' leadership after his death. The 5th caliph (who never desired leadership) coincidentally handed over leadership to Mu'awiya on the 30th anniversary of the prophet's death. Mu'awiya would then start the first Islamic dynasty when he named his son as his successor (caliphs were supposed to be chosen by a consensus, not through lineage)

Ah reminds me of when I first started watching your War of the Worlds series with the Early Muslim Conquests. I think the very first video of yours I watched was about the Punic Wars, and I think it was on Epimetheus's channel. That's how I found you, and I've not regretted subscribing even once 👍
Wow - that feels like a life time ago.
Great video. Thank you.
You are welcome! Thank you so much
@@FlashPointHx So much research and production work in there.
I thought we couldn't go back to Constantinople.
Thanks for making this video and the ongoing series.
Is that why they got the works?
@@Matthew10950
That's nobody's business but the Turks.
I was so hoping for someone to bring this up - I had a date in Constantinople - but I guess I should have been waiting in Istanbul
@@FlashPointHx not Constantinople?
This could go on all day. Lol
Astonishing work
Thanks!
This was awesome and I'll be watching the rest of this series! one on the coliseum would be cool to watch.
Nice - let me know what you think!
Awaited longtime for this one
Such a great channel. Doesn't get enough attention!
Yay! My favorite, history 💙🤍💙🤍
Glad you are getting sponsorship
Great work
Thank you so much 😀
OMG, I can't believe you are doing the byzantines!!!
I've been wanting to do this for a while. I put it up to vote and half the people wanted Byzantium and the other half wanted the end of the Reconquista - had to go for both.
Romans, bro. Eastern Romans. Not byzantines.

@@Yassinekamp persecuted after The Council of Nicaea to the point of extinction. Literally.
Here i was thinking this video was going to be great but it wasn't. Its was epic.
Thank you for this amazing video ❤️. Just one thing, as far as I know the sandstorm that helped the muslims occurred at the battle of Al-Quadisiyah not Yarmuk please correct me if I’m wrong.
It happened at both - but at Yarmuk it gave the Muslims the hand they needed to really win
@@FlashPointHx thank you for your reply 🙏🏼
Another great series... Can't wait for part 2
working on it now
" The Conquest and Fall of Constantinople " Also Known As " The Sadest Moment in History "
This is for you only.
The sadist moment for us is the loss of Andalusia.
@@NawafAlsulaiman no actually, more like the fall of the Umayyad dynasty and with it the dream of an unifided muslim world.
@@NawafAlsulaiman I think you outta keep whatever your political views are (no matter how inaccurate they are) to yourself. This is a history video. Not a “trump is the fall of xyz” video. So please, Shush it.
@@NawafAlsulaiman never was yours to begin with
The fall of Constantinople had a silver lining for the West. It led to the discovery of the New World. The West easily surpassed the Ottomans with the resources of the New World.
Been waiting a long time for this.
Thank you for this treat, you just made my day 😎👍
Stay safe my friend, and please keep making these fantastic videos 👌❤️
Byzantine and Sassanid guards on the neutral zone: *halt, who goes there?*
Intruder: *kaplah humans, we heard you have a neutral zone, need any help with that?*
😉😂
Kaplah indeed! Today is a good day to die!
Excellent video, i remember your videos on the punic wars 👍👍💯
Thanks - Punic Wars feels like ancient history to me at this point
Did you hear about the dialogue that took place between Heraclius, Emperor of the Romans, and Abu Sufyan, the leader of Quraysh , after he received the letter of the prophet ?
The Romans didn't call the city Ankara, it was either Ankyra or Ancyra.
Americanly. :D
EDIT: FLASH POINT HISTORY HYYYYYYYPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahahaha - Hype indeed
Great content.
Thanks!
I cry everytime
The saddest signle moment in history... but dont lose hope.

@@FlashPointHx sometimes it's good not to grow too quick, love your content man! Would love to see a series on the Portuguese exploration and interaction with West Africa and later India.
Great video, but should you not finish recounquista?
I put this up for vote a while ago in my community page. People wanted a bonus episode first - plus what happened on the Bosphorus in 1453 would be tied into what would happen in Andalusia in 1492
I swear I'm not gonna cry watching this but I know it would be difficult not to
it will be alright. . .
@@FlashPointHx **Sees the current name of Constantinople**
No I don't think so :^(
When will the last part of the Reconquista come out?
I put this up to vote in the community section - it got over 1200 votes and it was split 50 - 50 between Constantinople and Reconquista. So will create this series and then get back to reconquista and Isabella by Jan-Feb
Hello, Flash Point
I got to say I am really loving the videos you present to this channel.
Thank you! Those are some awesome channels to be compared too.
@@FlashPointHx, you're welcome. They are definitely (including yourself) channels that make learning history much more interesting, fun, & truly remarkable than what is presented (or fail to show) on TV or via public education now. Every person has their own unique style of presenting the past facts & events via their channel. I just thought your videos (most of all the Black Death vid) had a good balance of each channel's best traits while under the video guidance & help by HistoryMarche. Overall, I'm glad I found another channel that shares the same passion for history & provides a different perspective of past events.
Whether it’s Andalusia or Constantinople, all is as Allah/God wills it. There are still monuments, buildings, mosques in Andalusia or Churches in Constantinople anyone can go see and enjoy if you love history. Only idiots hate or argue over events that were half a millennia ago.
@@ranniely Have you studied European History in the 2Oth century and the world wars and colonialism and genocide and which countries first used atomic bombs & how much hundreds of millions died and countries got destroyed and robbed & who is most active in overthrowing secular governments in the middles east & Africa....Or do you just criticise & fabricate anything Muslim only to justify your hate....

Really enjoyed this one can't wait for the remaining episodes but as a muslim I really appreciate you added the word 'conquest' to the title because for us it is a conquest and a 'fall' for the christians so this is a fair title. Thanks for the nice overall video.
I've always tried to tell the story from both prospectives to give the narrative an unbiased approach.
You are correct - but there was blood shed during the transitions between caliphs - in a way it was rival claims to the throne acting out.
Really really entertaiment
The byzantines had developed a super weapon Me: thank you god
