This is the best. I was traumatised by Threads in my high school days ('82 - '86, southern California) and have been in a kind of love-hate relationship with the film ever since. Of course, I've seen it countless times since getting brave enough to watch it again in my old age, and know every scene well, so this is just flipping brilliant. YES, the mushroom and much of the cast (the grown up baby!) but really the whole thing is a laugh and a chill and I think a rather elegant little tribute to one of the most important films ever made.

rules of engagement to survive this
    1. Guns and ammo ( more than you can carry)
    2. Big ass car ( having a surplus of rule 1 can help trade)
    3. Fishing equipment ( at least then you ain't gonna go hungry)
    4. Guard dog the size of a horse and as vicious as as a crocodile( that way anyone/anything comes for your s*&t, they gonna learn the hard way)
    5. Liquids, I know that they say water but what's wrong with a stockpile of jd, or grey goose
6, don't take no s&£t from anyone and vice versa
    7. Lastly, a companion who is prepared to help the repopulation process
    8. Hire a good (but small) crew of people, one that can do what they call wet work/infiltration, a long range guy who can watch the terrain/navigate, an assault/demolition guy who can be used in most comsits, a techie/lockpicker who could help you to get into any locked area's of intrest, obviously a medic as well as a couple of guards to watch over you when you get your head down for the night
