The problem with Yinlin is that Her animation and Kit already in CBT. Which mean, Basically there is nothing new to see Both in Gameplay and Animation. In other hand, Both changli and Jinhsi is New and Fresh. The leaks Basically make My Point Stronger
then in theory, you'll end up not pulling changli or jinhsi because new characters get released that have newer kit and are more refined so you'll go for them instead and the cycle continues. it's an undeniable fact that yinlin is a very good character and i don't think that just because a character was in CBT is a reason for you not to pull a character? if a character is in CBT it gives you even more reason to pull a character because you know their predefined value rather than resorting to looking at leaks and pray that the new character is gonna be good. changli and jinhsi might look appealing but they could end up being bad

In other hand Both Jihnsi and changli just leaked now, And there is still big chances of changing both in Kit and Animation. (a lot of thing still broken like leakers say), Even assuming their kit finish next week, that's mean it's just 2 weeks of waiting. That's huge difference. Maybe not for you, But from my experience in gacha games A character in CBT character tends make boring a lot Faster. Because their Animation already all over the place for a whole 3-4 month. @@forcodingg1287 you'r OG post make no sense as what you said's just a natural process of game progression in its lifecycle/ dev process in a nutshell - improve/add things as time goes on until its end of life. future char'll always get things added to it in many aspect be it gameplay/mechanics/design. If you didn't like her kit/aesthetic so on would've made more sense but you'r skipping her cause you've seen what she has to offer. The only way I can make sense's you'r skipping a char seeing everything she has to offer for new/fresh char leaks (gamepaly/design/animation so on ) which you might've seen or just saving until her rerun or others.

Yinlin actually works really well with most main dpses. The only reason people pair her with calcharo is the 20% electro dmg amp +25 ult amp. Other than that, they really dont work all that well together. She actually works far better with Yuanwu than calcharo, and had a ~16% better output with yuanwu before the nerf.
her gameplay is boring. heavy attacks, E, forte, liberation. outro is useless with the constant swaps. played her story quest and decided it wasnt for me. character design is top tier so ofc everyone will roll. but yeah im in the same boat I need something more than booba.
This whole video should've been a twitter post as well. You don't like yinlin for 5 reasons and none of these reasons should concern anybody but you. People will see this video in their recommendation/search page and see maybe yinlin is not worth pulling for a good objective reason like next characters being better than yinlin dps wise etc... and they won't find their answer. Instead you could've started a conversation like "skipping characters solely by subjective reasons is totally fine for 5 reasons" and this would've been immensely helpful to people who wants yinlin just for meta reasons. Hmmm, well I don't really agree with points 1-3. But it's all about personal preference. The whole part about her being sexualized I sorta get it, fair enough. She's the type of "hot" attractive not so much the "elegant" type, however it doesn't mean she's not cool. Her garments objectively fit into the dark edgy style, which makes her very cool so I guess the "hot" part completely offsets the cool factor she has, for you. Point 4 is less subjective and I feel like it makes the most sense objectively. All I can say after testing her for over 24 hours is that I thought she was going to be a quick swap character but the ideal way to actually play her is doing her full attack/skill rotation pattern before swapping out. If you don't then you're not properly activating her punishment thing for sub dpsing. I wouldn't say she's a hard quick swap. A true quick swap unit is verina, for example. So far she's been very enjoyable to play with, imo. Hope you can have fun with changli or jinshi. I will also be pulling for them, after all it's not fun for me to always stick to one "type" of character.

Yinlin is one of the most versatiles characters in the game and she doesn't work with Calcharo or electro characters only. I'm gonna skip her too, but she is extremelly valuable with any team currently. I just want Changli more.
She works with other characters, of course, but not so sure about being the most versatile character. Verina is the most versatile character in the game. Her best team is with Calcharo and anyone that wanted to go for Yinlin got Calcharo on one of the two selector 5☆ so she will be played 99% of the time with him. Changli is similar to Yinlin, but she buffs fusion characters. Does that mean she's only good with Encore? If you're using your reasoning for Yinlin, then you shouldn't like Changli's gameplay either. Again, I don't mind if you skip her due to design and other personal preferences, but for mechanics, you should conduct thorough testing.
You guys pull because you want Yinlin But for me I pulled on her banner because I WANTED Taoqi (Noelle main), but wuwa jus wanted to give me 5 copies of a discord mod who does boxing. AND FINALLY ON THE 60th pull, I got my desired Taoqi along with Yinlin on accident. Although she is very overrated, she’s pretty good with taoqi (main dps) as a ult buffer.
I find fun in playing technical char for a change of pace so, calcharo with yinlin fits perfectly. also she's synergies well with others char as well not just calcharo.
I pulled her but she’s doing main dps, sub Yangyang and Jianxin healer. I know Jianxin healer?! Yes my fellow nerds Jianxin is like a disc priest healer. And with Yangyang and Jianxin liberation mobs are all piled up nicely.

@@Hekio..o it was a lot experiment. You can even have both Mortefi and Yinlin do dps while channeling. Jusy do Yinlin first coz her marks last longer then ult Mortefi then channel Jianxin and watch the fireworks.
I don't know about the future and she might be good, but I ended up pulling Jiyan and he is really good right now and I got his weapon virdent to. When I played with Yinlin in the story she does seem clunky or a weird character that is melee style with extended range with her puppet hopefully Im not missing out by not pulling her.
I had the same thoughts and i didn't like her BA animation that much at 1st. but, I have Calcharo & a great sets with great sub states so she is can be played as a DPS and a Sub DPS when needed. it's cost effective and that's why i got her.

Not personally liking a character appearance is valid for not pulling but never base your pulls on how other feel. That goes for all players. Meta is kinda cringe, just play whoever's kit you find the best for you and your playstyle
yinlin can be played with other teams she has off field dmg and ulti dmg buff yeah you loss an electro dmg buff but its not a big deal for early game comps (i skipped her 2 tho)
I kinda have the same preferences. Do not like the characters that are oversexualized, not that Yinlin's anything crazy when compared to characters in some other gacha games. However I did end up pulling Yinlin anyway, but I only did it to pair her with Yuanwu, as I want to play him and I doubt there's gonna be anything better for him in the near future, compared to Yinlin. There is still a bit of regret for pulling her, as I also am not too fond of her design. As you've said, not really into "mommy" characters. But again, it's literally the only option for Yuanwu in my opinion, so I went with it. They're my 2nd team now - Yuanwu, Yinlin, Baizhi While my main team is - Jianxin, Mortefi, Spectro Rover I got my Aalto to R6 in the process of pulling for Yinlin, so that's another unit I want to try building at some point, because I think he's one of the more fun characters to play in the game right now. Will probably do a few more pulls on the banner to get my Yuanwu to R4, he's currently on R3 and I really want that shield that he generates for the team on R4.
I'm Yinlin person myself, but for me playing characters that you like is a most important thing for enjoying gacha game, so I agree) For me Verina is big "NO-NO", for me she just don't fit atmosphere of the game, so I'm not going to pull for her (or play if i get her by accident) despite her being best support) No matter what criteria is, just play how you like, without looking what other players pulling)
U don't play with verina , u spend 5 seconds on field to get her buff that's all. U are stupid if u are avoiding verina . When she basically have no field time and have 100 percent buff time and healing

Jianxin is the best. Heals, shields, and ult buffer all in 1. On top of being aesthetically pleasing. I wish her heavy attack wasn't so long tho

yeah the story was a snoozefest didnt interest me in the slightest. and a lot of out of pocket sexual jokes and tension for no reason
