- Will we know just moments before that the rapture is about to take place? Second Thessalonians 2:1 says, "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him....” What does the word "coming" mean? I am not scared at all but full of peace! Holy Spirit has been leading me to think the rapture is imminent.I feel very blessed to be alive in this time!
Why is when the rapture / resurrection a hotly contested thing? It was not even debated until 200 years ago. Look into the lives of those who promoted this doctrine, like C.I. Scofield and you might consider this very suspect. Jesus said by their fruit ye shall know them.
Jesus tells us plainly in Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed (weeds) tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST first the TARES (WEEDS) tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (first the tares WEEDS get gathered, then wheat last) could it be any more plain than this?
Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
The rapture is very soon have faith ! Nothing more has to take place now for the time is here! Glory Glory Glory be to Jesus!
I am afraid you will die not knowing what the Rapture is. Why? It's all nonsense. People floating up the clouds to be with the Lord? Really? What age are you people? 5? The logistics tells you it can't happen. 1) the air will be too thin 2) it will be far too cold 3) gravity keeps us on the ground.

My 15 year old daughter said to me that she still wants to experience life and prefers Jesus to come back much later. I told her that we are like fish inside a dirty aquarium that needs cleaning. I told her that there is nothing she will miss on the old earth. I told her that in the second coming of Jesus that she will come back to new earth and enjoy it without all the sickness pain and hardship.
Truly was depressed and wasnt sure if I could ever be happy, I mean my 2 month old baby wasnt enough for me to be happy. And the moment all of this clicked for me and I realized that I was saved and sealed until the end that I can now be happy. This was my cure and not medicine, god is good

Rev 3-10 says His Church will not go through the wrath of God...this is why I believe that we will be caught up right before the tribulation starts.
Satan's wrath first. Immediately after the tribulation, Jesus Christ will return, and then we will be with him forever.

It seems today, that Christians are faced with the opposite problem-rather than being told that we missed the Rapture, many say the Rapture will not occur until after the Tribulation begins. This is my first time and when I went to the scripture 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 King James and I'm not sure what Bible your reading but there is so much words added to it. The Lord says not to add or take away so I definitely have my discernment radar alert up....
One of the translations Rick is reading from is the RIV - Renner's Interpretive Version. Pastor Rick is a Greek scholar, and he is currently working on this translation of the New Testament Greek.

What he was reading was not scripture, it was his personal commentary.
View it like you would the Amplified. The addition of words there is only to help the reader understand the definition of the words to expound on the words.

There are preachers out there that say, accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour isn't enough. They preach that you must also be baptized (water baptized) in the name of Jesus Christ in order to be cleansed from all of our sins. And only then will we receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit. They use Acts 2:38 as they're reference.
Dr. Renner schools me vigorously in New Testament Greek.

Things to think on, thats for sure! We serve a caring, and loving God. Still, we need to wake up to the lateness of the day, not in a state of fear, but from a place of strength, assuredness, and calm. After all we have a 1000 years of Jesus ruling the planet, wow thats got to be good news! Or will it be 10,000 years via “one day is as 1000 years” prophetically speaking, even better! Because we are seeing whats coming and trying to wake them all up and warn them all over the world, what they'll have to be trapped here with if they don't believe in Jesus! The only hope to escape all thats coming is through believing in Jesus Christ.
What kind of translation is that it sounds like there's a hundred words in there that have been added that were not in the original language !!
It is the King James Version. Martin Luther added numerous words while translating that were not in original language. Google it and you will see. Like saying faith “alone”. Not in original language.
Yeah, I’m not sure about adding things that are in the bible, even if they have good intentions, especially when Luther King is being linked to the Illuminati.
The Greek language was much more descriptive than the king james translators were able to access at the time. Many translators today have a much better understanding and access to Aramaic and Greek language so they can describe the letters better.

Don' know the translation you're reading but it's not the word of God. You're adding words and concepts that don't exist in the King James version, which is the only pure Word of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 (KJV)
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Beseech - erōtaō - to pull the rant - to speak from a position of privilege and authority. Paul is asking the Thessalonians to obey him as he is their spiritual father. Expectation that the request will be heard, honoured, obeyed and satisfied. A command and not a suggestion.
Coming - Parousia - Not just a physical coming but a special emphasis on this word is placed on the presence of the Lord among His people. But here it describes the strong presence of God that will be felt when Jesus returns to gather His people to Himself and implies that a phenomenal presence of the Lord will be felt by the church when it is time for Jesus to come and to collect His people for himself at the end of the age. There will be a strong presence of God among His people, they will have a knowing. (Romans 8:14) - Holy Spirit will bear witness. Supernatural quickening by the Holy Spirit that it is time.
Gathering together - episunagōgē - very specific Greek word used rarely. Moment in the future when God will finally gather His people to Himself. It is used here to describe the future moment when the Lord will quickly gather his people to himself at the end of the age.
soon - tacheōs - something that happens very swiftly or quickly
shaken - saleuō - to shake , waver or to be moved. The tense points to events that cause shock or alarm. An event or repeated events, so unexpected that it results in shock or distress. It depicts worry and inward anxiety resulting from outward events that keep occurring repeatedly again and again and it’s as if there is no pause between shocking, debilitating and nerve wracking happenings. Also translated as Jumpiness or nervousness.
Mind - nous - mind, will and emotions soul
Troubled - throeo - an affirmation of the word shaken - inward fright that causes one to be filled with worry, anxiety or fear. The tense points to an ongoing state of worry and anxiety resulting from outward events that keep occurring repeatedly as if there is no pause between these shocking, debilitating, nerve wracking happenings. People feel lambasted from every sides, they let it affect their mind and emotions, and it is just shaking them up.
Spirit - pneuma - (in this context) weird spiritual experiences or weird spiritual utterances that are out of sync with the revealed word of God. Weird revelations or euphoric, ecstatic proclamations that have no root in doctrine, but produce the negative effects of spiritually upsetting people. In other words, people are making bizarre statements like the Lord is come already. You are left behind. They make is sound so spiritual that it sounds like the Holy Spirit speaking.
Word - logos - sayings, speakings, preachings - (in this context) rumors
Letters as from us - fabricated letters as if they were written and send from Paul or inspired from Paul’s teachings.
At hand - enistemi - it's present, already come.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 (RIV)
1 Brothers, listen carefully. For I am asking you in the strongest of terms to hear what I am about to say and to do exactly what I am asking you to do. The appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ is very near. In fact, it is so close that we can nearly feel His presence as, if He were already here among us. The moment we have longed for and waited for is almost upon us. I am talking about that moment when Jesus will finally gather us all together for Himself.
2 Some things will be happening right before His coming that could shake you up quite a bit. I am referring to events that will be so dramatic that they could leave your head spinning. Occurrences of such a serious nature that many people will end up feeling alarmed, panicked, intimidated and unnerved. Naturally speaking, these events could put your nerves on edge and make you apprehensive and insecure. Oh’ how I wish I could tell you these incidents. We are going to be just a one shot deal, but when they finally get rolling, they are going to to keep coming and coming one after another. And that’s why you got to be determined not to be shaken or moved by anything you see or hear. You need to get a grip on your mind and refuse to allow yourself to be traumatized by these events. If you let these things get to you, it won’t be too long until you are a nervous wreck. That is why you got to decide beforehand that you are not going to give in and allow fright to penetrate its way into your mind and emotions until it runs your whole life. I also want to tell you not to be too surprised if people start making weird spiritual proclamations and off the wall utterances during the time just before the Lord comes. All kinds of strange things are gonna happen during those days. It’s going to get so bizarre that you might even receive a letter from some person who claims that the day of the Lord is already come. And who knows? They might even attach our name to it alleging to have our endorsement or they might even send it as if it were written by us.

The signs just before the rapture is as Jesus said; Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven , and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: :31 then we are gathered together at his coming
All of scripture concurs.
This is the time to look up.

About 5 years ago I saw Rick on It's Supernatural and ordered the book Dressed To Kill and received a Home Group CD .
As y'all were closing the study of the operation of Holy Spirit in our lives ,, (which I already knew about but had only spoken in the tongues very little from time to time. ) As you were closing Denise said something like this: I think I'm going to pray in tongues,, come on you can do it too just let whatever is in there come out! So I opened my mouth and out IT FLOWED HALLELUJAH .
My prayer life is so different now ,, sometimes I'll just be talking to someone and I start praying in tongues. Sometimes I know what it's about, sometimes I don't.
, But my Lord does !
