We are the NHS - A day in the life of a GP

Dr Santiago Puig, a GP at The Warrens Medical Centre, takes you through his typical working day, which includes seeing young and older patients, doing a nursing home 'ward round', leading a practice meeting and working closely with pharmacists and other members of the team.
It shows how modern GPs work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes a range of clinical and non-clinical roles, digital and telephone patient consultations as well as seeing patients face to face.
There is nothing general about general practice and there is no typical day for a GP but this short film gives you a flavour of what a day in the life of a GP is like in 2019.
