Despite the problems and others not having done their homework (proper drain/cctv survey), what shines through is your sheer professionalism and skill at building work. Bravo! That's why I subscribed and enjoy watching your videos.
Wow, just wow. The engineer who designed the drains without obtaining a full inspection will probably be responsible for those cost overruns. I'm so sorry you had to endure this problem. I hope the developer has a contingency to pay you more for the time you wasted on this problem.
I admire your calmness and stoicism Dazza. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. You are a solid team and a credit to your profession, you keep calm and carry on and that takes strength of spirit my friend. Well played indeed.
Wow, I can imagine a few heated phone calls with the original drainage engineer 🤦♂️. Nice work to still make progress and will be fascinating to see how it gets resolved. +1 on the hearing protection. No fun trying to sleep with tinnitus
Mikey here, still in Hospital but getting well, You guys are progressing extremely well, you’ve achieved a great deal on a short period of time 5* As always
Just an idea Darren but you can put a note to people in the neighbourhood that they can follow the job they are looking at out of their windows. Perhaps they are interested in what you are doing. And ofcourse you have more subscribers 😂.
Hmm, not an ideal discovery for you, on an already challenging site! I think the second option, connecting to the neighbours would be simplest and cheapest, if the fall in level is there, otherwise cutting the pavement, closing the road etc to connect to the main sewer will be costly, as you have said. It sounds like you have a plan, which is always a good start!
Owwwwuch, that's gonna be painful for someone. A little observation, that wall you are building that practically hits the sidewalk...seems like it's quite close to the edge of the concrete foundation, might be an optical illusion of course...
I agree with the ear protection guys, it's no fun having a ringing noise in your ears , especially when trying to sleep. talking from experience of not wearing them for the most part of 30 yrs on the building sites.
Classic - someone tried to save some money, for it only to go completely tits up. I wonder who bares the cost of this mistake? The engineer, the water board?
Don't you just love the "professionals" and the Water board approved it!!! Amazing, can't wait to see how they solve this one. I guess they have the right to connect into the run at the back with or without the neighbours permission?
Dammed nightmare that Darren! Wow. Comes back to the waiting game. Looks better now you have an outline of brickwork in place. Let’s hope all comes well. Stay well.
Another example of the left hand not knowing what the right hand us doing. What a nightmare for all involved especially the developer who is going to have to fork out a hellava lot more dosh to fix it. A question. Given the corner of the new building is right on the 'fence' line, will the building wall be the new 'fence' on that side?
Hope it doesn’t delay it… probably my favourite series on RUclips at the minute…. People above have said it, can’t get over how you never seem stressed, I have about 73 meltdowns a day trying to solve problems, definitely need to learn from you!
Someone One will have to Pay through the👃 🫰💷💷💷 For That Screw UP Make Dam Sure it's Not You. In the building Game the Developer/ Engineer Won't pay that Bill, it will come out of Your Price for the Job

OMG what a nightmare!! Looks like you might not need the soak away you can send water down that pipe??
It looks as if this job is going to cost someone a heap of money because the survey made the wrong assumption
Hope the engineer carries some hefty insurance against such a mistake.

Ooops, what a mess ,as long as it don’t cost you money.PS put some earplugs in you’ll regret not doing it when later.👍👍👍

This is what happens now because of the internet. They just look on line instead of visiting the site and verifying what is the real situation.
Now that is gonna take some figuring out. Hopefully you don’t have to go into the city property
As they say, getting out the ground is hit and miss regards costing and time it can double the estimate.
Are any of those telephone lines coming over your site as they will need to be moved if they are ?
Keep going boys. A drama not of your own making. Stay calm, breathe deeply and put the cricket on 🏏🍺😂
What will happen with the neighbours satelite dish and basketball hoop? are they in the way/have to be moved? Great work as alays team Darren :)
Glad you know what your doing I dont😊
what a cock up, still it will get sorted im sure.???
Nightmare

@11.37 what’s wrong with your two men signalling each other and the one dude shaking his head behind your back ...becareful my man
Presumably if it needs to go across the road they will need to apply for permits, etc.
Oof that is not what you want to hear at this stage Darren! Hope the developer finds a solution pretty quickly so you can move the job on.
Good job
Some is going to get shouted at over this balls up :) Good work though guys, you are all doing everything by the book !!
What ball ache
