🏅WELCOME TO SEASON 2 OF THE "FIRST" COMPETITION🏅
(would that not then make it the "second" competition?)
THE RULES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
FIRST PERSON TO COMMENT "first/First/FIRST" WINS A TROPHY
ALL TROPHY WINNERS WILL WIN A PRIZE
1 TROPHY/PRIZE PER PERSON PER SEASON
YOUR COMMENT NEEDS TO BE SPELLED CORRECTLY
NO EDITED COMMENTS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRIZES
A LIST OF THE WINNERS WILL BE POSTED UNDER THE WINNING COMMENT
THE PRIZES ARE YET TO BE DECIDED, BUT I'M THINKING OF TURNING A PHOTO INTO A POST CARD AND THEN THAT WILL BE THE PRIZE. I KNOW IT'S NOT MUCH BUT IT'LL BE SUPER EXCLUSIVE AND STUFF CAUSE I'VE NEVER PRINTED PHOTOS BEFORE.
ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL UNLESS PUT TO A DEMOCRATIC VOTE IN WHICH CASE A MAJORITY MAY OVERTURN THEM CAUSE I'M NOT SOME SORT OF DICTATOR BUT HOPEFULLY IT WONT COME TO THIS CAUSE IT'S JUST SUPPOSED TO BE A FUN LITTLE COMPETITION :)
If anyone's even bothered to read the description let me know in the comments with "Olut kiitos".

"a beer please", poor Sav 😂😂😂
So she still doesn't know about "beer please"? 😂
please order a beer on Finnish whilst filming Sav's reaction. 😂
Another great out of country vid. Considering not knowing the language and getting familiar with the culture. Always good to have someone with you too and always good to get back home 🏡!
Nice to see you and Sav enjoy Finland so much!
Simple. Effective. Well said Sav.
One reason you like the shower so much (possibly even *the* reason) could be that Helsinki has very very soft water. All those things they sell for deep-cleaning (de-scaling? or whatever) your coffeemaker, kettle, dishwasher or washing machine are basically not really needed here. With the Helsinki tap water you can actually wash your hair with soap and it rinses right out (I've tried it, it works), whereas in places with harder water soap tends to react with the water and your hair just feels weird and wrong afterwards.
I was just in the Canary Islands, and boy was it weird trying to wash even my hands with soap! I switched to detergent-based "soaps" (body wash, shampoo, even dishwashing liquids are usually all based on the same 1-2 basic detergents) immediately, no time for rinsing your hands for five minutes when you're on vacation.
That might have been a part of it but our water in Cape Town is also actually pretty soft, so I think it might have been the perfect combination of a few things 😄
Im enjoying your finland vlogs, I waited for another one
Snow terms around the world -
Southern Hemisphere: Gathering on the floor snd stuff
Northern Hemisphere: settling
😂 I love it!
"Look at it!!" "Get it!" "LOOK AT IT!!!!" "GET IT!!!" "I'M GETTING IT!!!" hahahha
I have to laugh out loud every time I see one of your videos! Superb content, love it! BIG FAN!!
Thanks Isa ☺️
love from Slovakia!
SP needs to come watch a hockey game in the home of hockey, Canada. Saying things like "this year is our year" proves he'd be a great Leafs fan.
Another great vlog. Really liking these Scandinavian (*Finland) vlogs. Haha! 😄
😂😂
The song is Sandstorm by Darude. Thank me later!
"Oh, they're training little builders!' 😂
When you think you're special but then later realise that everyone else got a heart too🤣
Another great vlog!! 👌👌👍👍
Olut kittos - best Finnish phrase ever. By the way, hockey is played in periods, not halves. (It is also played in arenas).
The restaurant Gohan, actually means rice in Japanese and is a new restaurant / wine bar in Helsinki, owned by lovely two young fellas. They also started the first proper ramen restaurant in Helsinki, Fat Ramen at Hietalahden kauppahalli. If you're interested in traditional ramen with a Finnish spin, go have a taste! Glad to see you're enjoying my home town!
Ahh man I love ramen 😍 wish I'd known about it before we left!
I actually enjoy ya vlogs. Just Original.
Thanks Aaron! I really appreciate that 😊
10:05 It's the water
Olut kiitos - the joke that keeps on giving :D
I love to watch ice hockey. I work at an ice hockey stadium and I don't miss home games. Go Adler Mannheim! FRISCH AUF FRISCH AUF
Hockey is the best sport out there! Rugby at a close second. Go Stormers!
It was so much fun to watch! Especially when the team you're supporting wins 7-1 😂
I love rye bread. Every time I watch you two I get hungry. What's up with that? Haha!
😄 you should know by now that you should have a snack ready for the vlog!
sliceofmatt you are correct. I will from now on
11:00 YLE's TV Tower.
Omg those snowflakes!!
I once when to a fight and a hockey game broke out!
😂😂😂
I'm amazed by the people that not only just non chalantly walk on the ice, but they DANCE on it too? WOW. So, I was taking an "app" course on Norsk, and in the preamble they mentioned that Finnish is closest related to Hungarian than it is to either Russian or Scandanavian (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish). The soup, was it a soup or a bisque? Lingonberry seems really popular from that part of the world, one of the hoopiest things you can get from IKEA is lingonberry jam. Luckily, during this vlog I had pistachios to sate my hunger as you all ate burgers and pepsi. There were weirdos back in the day in the states who in the 50's used to do Milk & Pepsi...which if you think about say floats made with various soft drinks besides "root beer" or "creme soda"...and it's just melted ice cream so..it's sort of milk...idk, it's never been a favorite of mine. And now that I think about it, it's kinda revolting. Okay, I was going to suggest Mailto & Pepsi, but I can hear Sav making throw up noises. Thanks for the hockey game! You went last summer to Talinn with the Grumpy Miszczak, was it in that city that he talked to the woman who was the host of that restaurant? And you spun around laughing that they didn't know what they were getting into by engaging him in conversation? Are you going to take the free tour (now in the cold) through the old town of Talinn? Hmmm...That would be fun to get Sav's take on those free tours.
Haha, we would sometimes make a drink called a "brown cow" which was made by mixing coke and milk, but you had to drink it within a minute cause if you let it sit and settle it looked absolutely repulsive 😂 we didn't end up taking the old town your (I didn't see any signs for it) but also I just told sav all the exciting things I learnt on the tour anyway 😉
Closest language related to finnish is probably estonian (there might be some closer in Karelian region, but those are rare and/or dying). Estonians and finns can mostly understand each other if we talk slowly and clearly and we can read newspapers so that we understand at least major points in the article. We can't understand hungarian and hungarian text is even more mystifying.
Did you go to the soumoolina sea fortress
If you ever come to Australia you have to come to the rugby with me and my friends
We did! 😁 you'll see it in a few days. I've been to plenty of Rugby in my life, but what I haven't been to is Aussie Rules football!
sliceofmatt I’ve lived in Melbourne Australia all my life and never been to an Aussie Rules game ever but going to the MCG is an experience in itself so it’s worth it (I’m a rugby league girl) but have been to games at the MCG for league and it’s pretty cool...hopefully you get to Australia to enjoy a game
First. Puck drop not 'kick off'.
Drop the puck in deep. Get the puck out of there.
That would make a lot more sense 😂 Although I did see one of the guys kick it with his skate (not at the puck drop though)...
Mid biting into my lunch I get this notification...
I like being an MVP.
"We missed kickoff." No you didn't. You missed the opening faceoff. Or you might also call it the puck drop. But certainly not kickoff.
14:02 lol
Didn't know Sav could shake it like that! Ok, then...
Omg that snowflake is unreal
3 periods. Not halves.
Haha, I know I know 😉

No wonder we didn't see any fights 😉 haha
I tried 😂
You were still close!
You should of have gone to watch H.I.F.K. Kings of Helsinki. Real hockey and better atmosphere.
tu novia gano bastante peso , se nota que le gusta comer.

it's really hard to buy milk here in Finland... if it says yoghurt, jogurtti, jugurtti it's milk 😜 in the same way "olut kiitos" means I love you 👍😂🤣👌
