Thats a pretty car. I assume you're going to have the new hood painted to match the car?? Can I ask you who makes the digital dash? And was it something you made for it?? Or OEM fit for that yr of car?? I'd like to find something like that for the early 90's Chevy truck im working on, and get ride of the Star Wars looking gauges. Again, nice car.

We as a family had a ‘69 396/375 hp El Camino SS as well as a ‘69 396/325 hp convertible Chevelle SS in the driveway.
In high school we didn’t care much for the single headlight cars that GM was pumping out due to lower hp ratings as this was the early stages of all the smog emissions BS being implemented. But here we are 40 years later and I can now appreciate that Elco, what a beautiful car! Good job Ralph!

A glass hood, glass front, and rear bumpers, and a set of newer lighter wheels to drop the rotation weight a couple of few pounds per corner, and I think he'll be right back to running the numbers he was before the weight of the roll cage. Racing, you gotta love it! lol.

@@KSRPerformanceFabrication Those hoods are heavy. But the hood weighs 80lbs, and the weight of the hinges and the latch assembly together is prob' around 20lbs. So I say once the glass hood is installed, pins and all, It will have deducted between 90-100lbs.
Edit: I have just seen where you said the added weight from the rollbar was only 80lbs.
So I believe after the glass hood is installed he will be where he started and maybe even 10lbs lighter. lol.
