Sorry about your owl! It has left this morning ❤❤ our COTM sticker sizes vary depending on the month. I'm so happy you enjoyed everything else! Can't wait for you to get the sticker now! 😂 we have transparent brushes, not the traditional black ones- love your reactions! ❤ our brushes may fit Night Owl's but not 100 on that. Our bristles are a tiny bit smaller

Great haul. I know what you mean about Heeymercedes, she makes everything look so good and her swatches are color accurate. I have the same problem that I have to be careful because I am light skin tone like you. I love her swatches because she also has short nails like me. Polishes don’t look the same on short nails as they do on long nails. I have been tempted too to buy from Victorian varnish. First off they have an 17ml bottle which is the biggest in the indie world and their stickers are amazing. I might get their Halloween advent calendar this year. It’s inspired by Disney villains. What ever is comfortable filming for you is what you should do. If you are not comfortable filming a certain way then you won’t want to make videos. And I love your chatting. It brings a smile to my face every time I watch your videos.

Now that I finally got a couple bottles from Victorian varnish I am very impressed with them as a whole. I emailed them and they already responded and sent out the sticker that I was missing. The only thing that keeps me from ordering more is that I really love flaky and glittery polishes and they don't offer a whole lot of those, but I am definitely keeping an eye on them. I won't hesitate to order if they come out with something I'm interested in 😄
I love little chef. It’s a chill kind of gorgeous. Love your swatches and POS talk on the bad brush shenanigans. 😊 why, why Night Owl?! Love their polishes, though. I just got into BCB and I love their flaky/glitter bombs. Thanks for the fun video.
@@christyn6679 It's crazy but I feel like I want to chat with the maker of Night Owl lacquer and ask why would you put that crappy brush in your amazing polishes? Something's telling me that they are married to that square bottle and there isn't a good paddle bush that fits in it. I would rather have a basic bottle with an awesome pabble brush, but the square bottles do look cool 😏
I find that your videos angles are just fine. You can still see the polishes and the application so quickly so keep doing what you’re doing. You have to take care of you and if you were physically not able to do a certain thing then other people don’t like it they can find somebody else if they like better. But I love your videos.

I’m the girl, (woman lol), who was commenting about swatch wheels a few days ago. I ended up going with the sticks that you have on your wall because I want to catalogue my collection. I seriously underestimated how satisfying it is to swatch nail polish and then look at your swatches lol! My 9 year old daughter had to get a set of 50 to do her collection 😂.
@@karinhilgert280 It seems like such a silly thing, but it is so gratifying swatching the polishes on a wheel or a stick. It's too hard to wait till you get to painting your nails to see what they look like. 😁 That sounds so fun that your 9-year-old daughter is into nail polish! 💗

Talking to people is my expertise 😝 But when it comes to structure and remembering a speech, my brain gets so fuzzy.
These are all so pretty! I love that NOL polish! Well, I love them all actually, but that one just pops out at me. TFS! I have only NOL polish, but I didn't replace the brush. That's such a bummer.

It feels like a friend is showing me her treasures from a shopping trip.❤ We have very similar taste, I picked up, BCB and Cuticula too and Owlivander from VV. I resisted the NOL because while I loved the color I am still not sure about that brush. I do have VV replacement brush I might give it a try.
@@sunflowerstefi267 That's what I'm going to do with my next purchase of Victorian varnish. Replacement brushes are cheap as long as I'm buying something else that makes it worth the shipping. It's worth a try. If you try it before I get a chance, let me know how it goes

I have one Night Owl & the brush was a deal breaker for me, sadly. It was not just squared off, it was smooshed like the old Cirque brushes were. Anywhooo, i love your haul!! They are all pretty I really love the owl one from VV and the BCB kinda makes me think of China Glaze I Love Your Guts, only the "pretty" version 😁
@@ashleyj0 The night owl brush is a heartbreaker. I really thought it wasn't going to be a big deal because of the KB shimmer replacement brushes. So I started ordering up quite a few from these preorder sites and now I'm realizing that the replacement brush is not going to work and I'm just going to have to suck it up and use those crappy brushes. At this point I own at least 10 😭

There polishes are great (and big bottles, good brushes). Steam punk theme 😻 (Ionly had to contact them once, but her customer support are very nice as well as helpful)

@@DynamiteTrujillo I'm actually surprised at how much I like this color. I don't hate pink but it doesn't usually excite me. I was worried that I wasn't going to like it as much in person but I really do. And strangely enough, even though it's pink I kind of feel like I can wear it in any season
Jen, I also picked up the BCB and Cuticula from HHC last month! TWINS. I only have 3 V V polishes, but I love the whole aesthetic, and the formulas are great. Thanks for sharing.
@@kateayotte8109 I was wondering if I was going to like that pink PCB in person as much as I did in the swatches, but I really do love it. Pink doesn't strike me as a fall color, but I feel like I can wear this one any time of the year.
I've been waiting on Victorian varnish to have something I want because I do feel like they're a great brand. I just haven't been drawn to anything but I'm in love with their branding and now that I got these bottles in my hand, I absolutely love the bottles and brushes. Also I emailed them about the missing sticker first thing in the morning and she emailed me back a response and put the missing sticker in the mail the same day! as a whole I'm very happy with Victorian varnish. The only thing that would hold me back is just cuz I'm more of a flaky and glitter fan and they don't make a whole bunch of those polishes 😁
This was the first time I did the HHC and I got the Night Owl Lacquer, too. It's gorgeous! The BCB Lacquers polish GLOWS.
@@craftyasonline If you continue to order from hhc and if you need a file, their glass files are amazing. I bought one a couple months ago and I really really love it. I am going to order a few more things from their brand. It's called germanikure and it's always available to purchase on hhc's website. I just picked up a manicure stick with my recent order so I haven't got that yet
My NOL brush replacements got wonky BUT I am experimenting with Cracked Polish replacement brush in my NOL QDTC & so far the brush is still good. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Thank you for sharing this info! 🤓 I had the same issue when I replaced my NOL QDTC brush. I’ve been meaning to try Cracked Polish, so maybe this is the sign to start now and get their brushes.
What do you mean by wonky?
@@Diametricallyopposed00 the brush fans out due to hitting the bottom of bottle. Even brushes from NOL are not good replacements. I love NOL but don’t offer brushes that don’t work with your bottles.
@@Diametricallyopposed00 As danamarie said and how Jennifer showed in the video, the replaced brush ends up getting distorted (kinda lopsided) and therefore hard to control.

Hello Jennifer and thank you for sharing ! I am relatively new to indie polish, as in this year. But i have placed two Victorian Varnish orders and i also LOVE their branding and themes! So so cute ! Where do you get the magnets from to put the stickers on? That is a GENIUS idea and i would love to take a page out of your book! I have always been a crafty person and that sounds like the perfect craft for me to do now in my busy schedule! Plus then yoi can keep the stickers FOREVER and also display them at the same time !
@@pinkTonya24 Oh let me get you the link. I learned it from another RUclipsr. I really love it because like you said you can keep the stickers forever and you can move them around if need be. The only thing is the magnet paper is not a very strong magnet so they do get pushed around pretty easy but it's worth it

Yes, there are a couple swatchers I follow that are lucky to have a neutral skin tone so that all polishes look good on them. Have you ever tried to figure out your season? I’m a bright winter, for example. I mostly get nail polish shades in my season except if I really like the color story of a full collection or a polish is just too cool to skip. By the way, I think you’re doing a great job & the angle you film your swatches doesn’t bother me.

Beautiful polishes! There’s nothing wrong with the way you’re swatching. You do what’s most comfortable for you. I’m usually picky about brushes but with NOL I don’t have a problem with them. But I only have two polishes from them so far. I don’t think I would be happy with using them for their creams polishes. I was planning to buy some of their creams but now I’m wondering if I would be better off with another brand because of the brushes.🤷♀️

But I am very interested in this as well. If I order from crack polish I'm going to try out their brushes because I have heard that night owl lacquers cream polishes are really amazing but I totally understand what you're saying. I would definitely not want to use their brushes for cream polishes.
@@JenniferDufoe If Cracked Polish brushes work that would be awesome. They have great brushes. I just looked at mine and they look like they would work. They’re just a tiny bit smaller in same size bottle.🤞Keep me posted when you find out please! Also, I just realized I have a KbShimmer brush & cap on my latest bottle of NOL and the brush looks fine so far. I’ve had it at least 3 months. I know some people don’t like to change the caps but it doesn’t bother me if that’s what it takes.
I just realized NOL has replacement paddle brushes on their website!
@@lisapierce525 I believe night owl is selling the Kbshimmer style replacement brush because if you read the description it says they may bend, so I wouldn't trust buying those

Hey, I picked up NOL "Damn You For Making Me Run". It's such a pretty polish. I'm on my no/low buy so I passed up on the BCB Lacquer only because I'm just not a huge fan of pink. However, I am doing a pink mani right now to try to get past my "meh" feelings about pink polish. lol
@@lisabartz2719 I'm trying to do the same thing with purple. I don't know how well it's going because I have bought a few but I haven't worn them yet. I'm trying to wear as many summer polishes as possible before the sun goes away. I'm only tempted by dark purple so we'll see how well I do in fall 😄
@@JenniferDufoe I'm the same way with purples, but I figured out that I like purples with stuff going on...flakies, sparkles, reflective...I also prefer darker purples.
I bought a few replacement brushes from Night Owl Lacquer just for her base and top coat and one other polish. They got really soft and lost their shape immediately and I wished I had just kept the original brushes in them.

I remembered after I was done with this video that I replaced a couple other bottles brushes as well and now I regret it big time 😭 But I did just get a comment saying that they are playing around with cracked polish replacement brushes since they have square bottles as well. I'm not sure if the results are in yet, but let's cross our fingers that those works 🤞
My June order is not even sent, I also get no reply to my email asking about it - did you ever have any issues with HHC?
@@limonettinelimonettine9865 no, I've never had any issues. Sometimes there is a delay when one of the makers takes a long time to ship their polishes to hhc. However, are you saying you didn't get June's or July's? Because if you have about June's there's an issue. Try logging into your account and check your status and see what it says

@@Gotaluvpolish Oh yeah, I need to be dramatic and make a whole video that's labeled PSA. I feel like I've seen and heard many times that the KB shimmer and glisten and glow paddle brushes are good replacements for NOL, but mine are wonky now. Good thing I haven't replaced all of them yet
20:36 OMG Jennifer, YESSSS MY NOL REPLACEMENT BRUSH GOT WONKY TOO!!! I thought I was going crazy 🤪 I replaced the brush on my NOL top coat bottle about 2 weeks ago. When I went to use it last week, the brush looked exactly like yours and it made the application difficult. I figured I’d gotten a bad brush! And replaced it with another one. Ugh. TYSM for sharing this.
And of course for the unboxing and swatches. I’ve also been eyeing VV because of the interesting steampunk branding. That owl!! 🥹

@@das_ein I just started going through all my comments and I noticed a comment speaking about cracked polish replacement brushes, I see you noticed that comment as well. Cracked polish has a release on the 23rd. I think I'm considering buying a couple and ordering their replacement brushes to see if they'll work with the night owl
