Gabi, I’m hoping you’ll see this late comment but had to say I finally sampled Fleurs d’Oranger today and I wanted to say THANK YOU for banging on about it so much (and I mean that in a good way!!) It’s honestly hands down the best orange blossom I have ever tried. Absolute love at first dry down. It’s one of those that actually made me feel emotional, like it was familiar (not the smell but the feeling it gave me). I don’t get that very often and I was quite overcome! Straight to no.1 on my wish list. Thank you so so much for the recommendation 😘 😘😘

This is the kind of reviews I love listening to! Thanks for the entertainment! I think you might like Chergui. When it came out, it was all the rave in the fragrance community, especially for those who love darker, spicier scents. It has some sweetness though due to the honey and tobacco note.
Some have written, Dune by Dior is somewhat similar but more floral and feminine. I have smelled both a long time ago but to me Chergui was darker and rounder.
From that I'd think I like chergui a lot. It sounds very dark and rich 💕

I love Serge Lutens but I adore "Tubéreuse criminelle", I do went into camphore perfumes since I smelle this one. "Flos mortis" from Rogue parfumery has the same structure but with a vintage twist, its the grandmother of Tubereuse Criminelle. Thanks for the video!

I really do like the sound of Fleurs d’oranger, I must get a sample, although cumin can be problematic for me (unfortunately can smell like…ahem…sweaty body odour on my skin eek ) 😜 xx
Cumin can be like that, however I think it's played beautifully here Lucinda. You really need to sample a few I think these would be very much you 😀🤩

First at all, I need to say thank you. 🙏 Your reviews are so accurate and they led me to discover such beautiful fragrances that I can be nothing but grateful. Fils de Joie and Fleurs d'oranger are in my collection due to your reviews. And I'm waiting for Lust by Lush.
If I can say something in return, I'd recommend you Datura Noir (a beautiful take on tuberose) and Arabie which was my first Lutens and still my favorite one. If you like sweet, oriental and extremely spicy fragrances, you'll like it.
Regarding to Chergui, I think you'll probably enjoy it. It's a different take on a very popular theme: tobacco and honey. But this has the special addition of hay which is quite prominent on my skin and makes Chergui different from the rest of fragrances devoted to the mix tobacco/honey.
By the way, I'd like to leave a question. If I like jasmine and I love Fils de Joie, do you think Jasmin Antique by Rogue could be a scent for me? I adore photorealistic jasmine but I wonder if JA has a strong retro/vintage vibe which is not what I'm looking for. What do you think?

If I'm honest I'd,say Jasmin antique is,a very vintage,style scent. Very different to fils de joie. It isn't,sweet, it is very waxy.
I think I'll get chergui although Arabie sounds,wonderful. 🤔

Hi Gabi - We do have Fleurs d'Oranger in common. My absolute fave is Fourreau Noir or Louve, followed by Bois de Violette, Bois et Musc, Amber Sultan, Datura Noire and many more. This is a perfume house where I got lost with the first bottle and remain captivated over 20 years later. I look so forward to watching your videos on the weekend! Stay blessed 💜

Sound advice at the end and the tik tok clip 💕💯. Great video on one of my most wish listed fragrance houses. I blind bought and absolutely love Fils de jois after watching your video last year. It’s one of my most treasured scents. Had to return santal majescule, it was overwhelming for my nose and headache inducing. Next, I wish to try the orange flower one

Hi Gabi 🤗! Such a beautiful Serge Lutens collection 😍 Now I am so tempted by Fils de Joie and Nuit de Cellophane. My favorite from what I have sampled and have is Santal Majuscule ❤️ But yes, for me also is a cosy cold weather fragrance.

My one perfume (which I love but is challenging) is Nishane Unutamam … This little 30ml will last me my entire life 😅… This was a blind buy. I learned my lesson and I now Sample when possible.
Unutamam opened my nose completely ! Now I am more open and adventurous to animalistic perfumes. I found your channel through my search for Francesca Bianchi. I figured if I can tolerate Unutamam I’m ready for Bianchi ❤!

madness = brilliance! I enjoy Serge Lutens, it's such an under rated house. I have 4 fragrances from this house and all were blind buys. Fortunately I liked them. The only over lap with yours is the Nuit de Cellophane. I would eventually love to test Fleurs d'oranger, Fils de Joie and Santal Majuscule. I think there are a few others on my list to try as well... But it's so hard to get samples of this brand. I always enjoy your videos! - Jenn

I just tried (and immediately ordered) my first Serge Lutens yesterday! It's L'Orpheline, and I've never been so enchanted with a fragrance in my whole life. It the most evocative and emotion-inducing fragrance that I have ever, ever encountered. Have you smelled this one? It's making me wonder if there are more from him I might love. I think Bapteme du Feu sounds amazing, and Santal Majascule also intrigues me. Love you!

Omg I have been sleeping on Serge Lutens perfumes. I have fallen in love with Fleurs D’Oranger. My hubby thinks it smells like a Qantas lounge with a fecal undertone but I can’t pick that. I just smell beautiful orange blossoms. Curious that the same fragrance can be perceived so differently.
