I just want to say thank you for all of your content, you’ve alleviated so much of my stress and anxiety around driving. If you get the time, I’d love to see a tutorial on hill starts and hill parking!
As we're an automatic driving school, we don't focus too much on hill starts. We teach our students how to do it in an automatic just in case they find themselves in a situation such as on a steep hill at a stop sign or stopped on a steep multi-level car park ramp with with someone right behind them (i.e. preventing rolling back by releasing the handbrake just when you feel the car trying to move forwards) - but you're probably more interested in the use of the clutch, friction point, working three pedals with only two feet, etc, etc. For something as important as a hill start in a manual, I'd recommend getting a professional lesson.
Thanks David all the videos in your Channel are amazing. I've passed my test yesterday IN JOONDALUP. Only 4 lessons with David you are an amazing instructor. Even the assesor said "you've done a very good job, who did teach you to drive in Joondalup?" Of course ILUKA DRIVING SCHOOL. Thanks David!! You're highly recommended.
That's the point! Some people seem to think they can park their car in neutral or leave their handbrake off when parking on supposedly level ground. It's totally wrong - and sometimes you can't tell which way the road slopes because or the surrounding terrain. So you should ALWAYS park in the appropriate gear with the handbrake on.
@@evanopedal5685 it's nothing to do with the camber of the road. Some roads appear to be sloping up or down along the street when they are in fact flat, and some appear to be flat when they are actually sloping up or down lengthwise along the street. It's essential that you always park your car securely. That means not just relying on the handbrake.

Thank you so much for this new video
No problem
So did you turn the car 180 deg to have a look?
??
How do you know whether you're uphill, downhill, or on a flat surface more than looking at it?

I guess you're saying the middle of the road is the camber making the roads slant down so the water goes in the gutter.
