I always thought for some reason that Mango was a pun with « Man, go » (as in you have to let it go). Very nice interview though, I REALLY liked and resonated with Kamauu’s analogy of relationships with coloured papersheets, I’m gonna steal that one 😂✨

Kamauu and Masego are two of my favorite artists and I’m here for this conversation. I love Kamauu’s vibe and I agree with the bare foot (comfortable) and healthy masculinity comment above.
This is love. The pure passion of it. The artistic nature of connecting our souls through music. This is what we need to change the world. We truly need artists who are more than just vocals but what they create and mean with those words.
Be careful who you listen to and support nowadays. It is pertinent for your own well being and the well being of the next generations.

All of this is sweet and sounds nice but for longevity, Grace matters most. Because communication will falter.. people will evolve... and all in all, you have to give people the space and opportunity for that. That has to be okay. You can’t hold people to a foundational standard that was set when you first met. People have to feel safe enough to change their minds... even if that means a change in the relationship. It’s always Russian roulette. ALWAYS. No matter how much prep, how much research, how much knowledge. It’s always a gamble. ALWAYS

KAMAUU. So glad you’ve brought to the table that mental, stereotypical and dictionary/textbook definitions of words vary for different people. My best friend (husband) and I always seem to get into disagreements on verbiage and semantics. I don’t mean to but when I’m arguing or standing my ground I have a tendency to use words he doesn’t fully grasp and I’ve got to admit to doing it unintentionally on purpose to stump him.
Having friendship as the basis for your relationship will go far beyond ego and pride. No sane person wants to be toxic or deal with people that are. Recognizing it in ourselves takes a lot of maturity to not be petty like Masego said. Also, Adeline, you’re right on point too and gorgeous inside and out 🥰
This happens with me too. At first I was so frustrated, but now, I ask the question, "What does that mean to and for you? , or "How do you define that?" I listen and when it feels different I check in with how the other person is defining their thoughts and emotions.

It's an eye opening experience. When I first heard the song, I thought of my ex-husband, and how after all these years we are in a place where I'm happy that he's got a partner who loves him, and he feels the same way. Like a breath of fresh air to end ones relationship, I mean, at the end of the day we will always be there for each other, we have a kid to raise... Love to see them talking and being alive at a moment like this to enjoy such amazing beings!! 💪🏽🖐🏽🙏🏽
