First time I have ever seen a nut be oval but it just happened on install of the exact item purchased by you, took some time to get nut off but was successful, had to use original nut. Now gonna make sure nuts go past the ends of all that I install.
If the rear sway bar comes loose , as in the nut comes off on the end that has the long bolt , when you drive around a corner it feels very weird, the car feels like your going to lose control and possibly crash! Am I right? I found the nut missing on the passenger side and this is how my rav4 felt, I was able to pound the nut back in and put a new nut on the end, I am hoping that it will not feel like I'm going to crash now
Just curious- why the fancy brake rotors? I have a 2012 V6 Rav4 and I've never put rotors like that on it. Really appreciate the repair videos. My Rav currently has 151,000 miles on it and it runs like a Swiss watch.
I took mine to have an alignment done , as the mechanic was raising my Rav 4 he pointed out that mine was replaced with a none adjustable one from a recall.
To clarify on this, toyota did do a recall for this part, however once new part is in and alignment is done, they coat the threads with epoxy for the purpose of making it non-adjustable.
I watched your video and wonder why you didn’t cover the adjustment of the strut rod. If you measure the length of the original strut and adjust the new strut to match it should leave the wheel camber the same as before.
Agree- if you see your bushing binding or twisting be careful and make some adjustments to take pressure off so you don’t stick the bolt in there Cut rear lower control arm off another 70$ in parts added to shocks n springs
Because after the Rav4 recall Toyota made the arm's non adjustable be epoxying the jam nuts and now you have to replace both arms when the alignment is out of spec. Then take it back to an alignment shop to have the toe alignment fixed or start buying new tires due to excessive tire wear... Thanks Toyota for a crappy fix

Will this solve my problem? I can't get my rear alignment done because apparently the Rav4 I have rear lower control arm isn't adjustable.
Thank you again for your instructions. It means much more than you realize.

I believe there was a recall on this part for the 2009 RAV4 and the fix from Toyota was to put on a control arm that was non-adjustable.

2008 Rav 4 had a recall on these the fix was alignment and epoxy adjuster. Do I have to epoxy A1 autos part?
+J - Who? Thanks for watching! Our parts are made to OE specifications so you might need to epoxy them if they start to back off.

You guys should work on rusty suspensions. It wouldn’t be that Easy.
I need this part for 2012 rav4 sport 2.5 you guys dont have that on stock
Great work
Mine has a tag on it that says do not remove it , I guess it was a recall , No adjustment
I need the middle bracket that holds rear suspension in place whats it called

Rav 4 2002 2wd
That's not a control arm, that's a Strut. This car has upper and lower control arms with Strut stabilizers. This video is for the Strut stabilizer.
It's called a rear toe control arm, get your facts straight bruh
