13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

I'm relatively new to Bible study and Christ, but I LOVE what is said here (0:45) about Colossians and the blood of Christ. I'd learned the phrase from Luke and straight from what little I know about passover and why some follow Jewish dinner rules. So much to learn! And it's ALL so very good! God bless all who follow Christ and seek the Lord's House. Thanks for this site! I have to dig in further!! 🙏😊

To me the Blood of Jesus has power..how ever I don't believe in 'pleading' it as we have it's power already..we don't have to beg for what is already ours. This word 'pleading' makes us sound lacking..how ever if we 'proclaim the victory of the blood'..immediately we are speaking with authority. I even in my early days prayed: 'in Jesus name and through His blood (shed at Calvary-if u wish), I command..'.
In any form of deliverance I believe the blood goes hand in hand with our authority.

I believe in pleading the blood of Jesus. I know that is true ,God honor our faith. However it's true also that demons know whom you belong to. Meaning, do you have the fear of the Lord ,do you walk in obedience ,not perfection ! Jesus is Lord in your life ? Do you fellowship with God ? because the enemy knows those things.

I MUST SAY THIS BRINGS MORE QUESTION'S THEN IT DOES ANSWERS . FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE PUT THEIR HOPE IN CHRIST THE ANOINTED ONE, YOU WILL RECOGNISE I HOPE THE FALSE HOOD HERE WHETHER ON PURPOSE OR BY MISTAKE I KNOW NOT. I DO KNOW HOWEVER IT IS BY FAITH IN THE ONE BEHIND THE NAME THAT ONE STANDS IN AUTHORITY ,JUST TO BE ACCURATE ON TARGET IS WHAT THE LORD HAS CALLED US TO BE, HITTING THE MARK WITH PIN POINT ACCURACY. LOVE FAILS NOT , VICTORY THROUGH CHRIST. IT IS BY FAITH IN THE NAME OF JESUS. HIS AUTHORITY IS ON THOSE WHO BELIEVE, NOT ON THOSE WHO THIS MAN BELIEVE'S. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS FAITH BUT YOURS . WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

i think it means different things to people. when i say it, it means im battle ready and that i let that demon know what im bringing.
idc what your take on the blood is, its absolutely better to have it, mention it, appropriate it, instead of disregard it.
i only wish to know Christ and Him crucified. you cant have authority wo the blood and crucifixion denotes the blood He shed.
i see toooooo many ministers skipping past the blood, yet it is the foundation of our entire Christian walk. even Jesus said to "take up our cross and follow Him". that doesnt mean just pick it up for fun. it means BLOOD SHED for results via authority.
the further reality is for our conscience in order to produce faith for authority.

@KrisVallotton where is the rest of this? I was really interested in what you started to say about prisoners and captives and then it ended.🙁

No, it's not that complicated. All authority is given to Jesus in Heaven and earth. The victory is in Him, not having a bogus battle with demons.

Non one in the Bible “pleaded” the blood. It was never even spoken in the Bible. Everything is done under the authority of Jesus” name.

There is zero precedent of anyone in the Bible ever "pleading the blood." It is a totally different concept from praying in Jesus' name. Praying in his name is biblical and means you are praying with authority that he has given. Pleading the blood is essentially an incantation. Not biblical at all.

Thank you! It has two different meanings and I don't see where ppl are getting this from.
If you're praying the blood of Jesus then you are praying the love of Jesus.
It's in the name of Jesus that we should pray. Only.

Not necessarily correct about authority. Jesus himself said, those who believe in me will do greater things than this.

Matthew 7:22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have (cast out devils?) and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. The saved and Unsaved can use Jesus Christ name and cast out Devils! This man is dead wrong!

    • @selador11

Those people are deceived. Why would a demon NOT leave, when you cast them out in Jesus' name... When actually leaving, furthers your deception?
Before you say, "a house divided against itself"... This is a case where the house is working with itself. 'the house' has furthered it's cause. In Jesus' case, He was actually casting them out. In this case, they are pretending, because it furthers your deception.
They probably either didn't actually leave, or know they will move right back in, with 7 others, worse than themselves, the instant you turn away. In either case, you are left firmly ensconced in your belief in your own deception.
Just as the enemy also uses scripture, whether taken literally, or taken the wrong way, to help someone believe more firmly, what they want to believe in the first place. Even if that belief is wrong.
