Inset flush mounted stones can be lovely also in this style of ring. I very much like the tactility and softness of the metal in the middle, stone around the outside, rather than the more strict opposite. It gives the entire piece a softer, toned down elegance, sensuality representing feelings of intimacy, skinfriendliness, femininity than traditional previoys metal rings often do, especially the solitaires that seem morr about announcing to the world, about relationship status, or just status.
