Synopsis:

Im not even done watching your reaction, but I just wanted to say thank you for your reaction to this drama! Its really cool to see people embrace kdramas as I had been watching them since high school and i was just 1 of 3 girls in the entire school who were captivated by them, and now people are seeing the fascination. Wanted to add my 2 cents here for my thoughts on little details sprinkled in the drama(CONTAINS SPOILERS BE AWARE…YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED):
hyun woo when he had vowed to protect and love hae in mentioned he regretted not asking her how her day was or if she was ok. So I caught him doing it every chance he got. Even when he was hurt or in a bad situation, he always wanted to check in with her and see how she was doing, which I was in awe of how they kept sprinkling that detail throughout the episodes. Second, I think Eun Sung had the easy way out in his demise. Lots of folks, including me kind of wished he got axed Vincenzo style to really sink in the pain and suffering he inflicted on others. Also callbacks: hae in hallucinating the old man bringing flowers was actually old hyun woo for hae in, that she came as an angel to pick him up when it was time to go, the hallucinations she had were all of scenes where we all thought she was alone when in fact hyun woo was there and she had a glimpse of the future momentarily….and finally…kim soo hyun (baek hyun woo) singing “Way Home” at the end scene I totally lost it…I found out the translation (because I’m not Korean) from the original song title is “Marriage Proposal”, but the very last line is “our home” and yea just cried even more. Fantastic reactions and I was basically toe to toe with how you felt (and im only 30 min in…still feeling the same emotions i did the first time i had watched it this past weekend)

This ending was so beautiful (lmao I cried ugly), Baekhong couple really showed what resilience, loyalty and transcendental love are. Thank you so much for reacting to Queen of Tears and for fighting for your life during all the weeks that the drama was on air 😂❤.
The ending was bittersweet. I understand some people finding it unnecessary and gloomy. But it showed us that Haein lived her life well. From having 3 months to living for 50 years more, it was a miracle. The ending may seem sorrowful for the viewers as we watched a sudden time lapse, but I find peace at the thought of Haein living those 50 years together with her loved ones. Just because we haven't seen it on the screen, doesn't mean it did not happen. In my opinion, the ending scene was one of the best, if not the best for romance kdramas.
You only spoke facts!! When hae in was speaking about the possibility of living wayyy early in the series she and hyun woo both mentioned miracles. The one case where the person was told they had 3 months to live, but are still alive 30 years later stuck with me. I didn’t find it gloomy at all tbh, hae in got to live the life she wanted and deserved. While I did cry A LOT it was out of happiness because they both lived their lives together and when it was time for them both to pass on, the other was waiting. Shit has me tearing up as I type this 😂😂
Idk if u noticed but the ost that played during the ending scene was actually sang by kim soo hyun the actor of baek hyun woo
The writer gave us MOST REALISTIC HAPPY ENDING..

The ending having no music at all as we saw all the pictures had me bawling my eyes out. Such a beautiful show. Kim Soo Hyun singing at the end was so 😭
So i binged watch this k-trauma in my 2 days off and honestly it’s nice that everyone had their happy lives and closures, but i feel like it’s lacking something like showing BaekHong’s happy moments together, when they remarried, when they had their baby, her memories coming back in certain situations etc.
Personally i’m feeling this emptiness like i want more of their happy side cuz knowing and seeing it is waaaay different😩 after all the trauma and roller coaster of emotions, i wanted at least 10 minutes of how they lived with no drama at all😭
The fact that Hae-in was waiting for and took Hyunwoo when he passed away, a year and a day later of her passing. He took her words literally😭
Also, her hallucinations were all predictions of Hyunwoo’s future😭😭
And the apparitions of her older brother meant that he was murdered in the accident, he needed closure so he decided to appear to his sister who could’ve died if it wasn’t for Hyunwoo😭🤚🏻
Idk how i didn’t start it when it first came out and waited till all the episodes were released, but i’m glad and regretting it cuz my eyes were dehydrated for hours💀
In episode 14, Haein said he saw his grandfather on the monument, but it was Hyunwoo.
And at the end, the grandfather suddenly changes to Hyunwoo
The scene where Haein comes out and extends his hand is probably like a pretty angel in heaven. I think it expressed that Haein came to meet me.

Exceptional acting by Kim Soo-Hyun, Kim Ji-won and Park Sung-hoon. The ending was emotionally beautiful. We need more Kim Soo-Hyun and Kim Ji-won dramas.
Honestly how the writers ruined Hae-in’s character after the surgery was foul. We saw her loving side from the early days and before Germany but after surgery she didn’t even care that old her loved Hyun woo enough to remarry him ASAP after he saved her life *Again* 😢 They did Hae-in so dirty not having her memories come back soften her. RIP 🪦

there is no issue there, and we don't know how much it took for them to remarry. But she stayed at the hospital to take care of him. They are living together. And she was always saying yes.

Thank you for reacting and I agree about rioting 😭💔. After months of build up and Hyun woo risking himself to save her, it ends with him being old and putting flowers by her grave? You have them walking up stairs with one child and that’s all we get before he walks alone ? Show them buying a house in Youngduri and being in love… the show ended with no pay off and all pain for the viewers imo. 💔 I wanted to see her react to him being the one to save her too! 👀
Even though it was kind of sad, I thought it was a beautiful ending. HI had only 3 months left and she thought she didn't have a future with HW but she got exactly what she wanted. She got to spend 50 beautiful years with HW and their daughter. As she promised, she became an angel and came back to take HW with her when it was time.
I usually have a hard time watching episodes that are longer than an hour, but that didn't happen with this drama. I even came here to watch your hour+ reactions.

I am sorry but after over a month of emotional investment and ups and downs we don’t get a passionate kiss/ hug or happy montage of them getting remarried and more cute family moments to end with? We end with Hyun woo all alone and eventually seeing her when he dies? What the heck…
I am glad they had a family together and had cute photos on the wall, not showing them grow old together and the happy times is a bummer. 😞 They made time to have the scammers getting out of jail and aunties dating but not them welcome their child into the world with happy tears and living in their own home? That’s a missed opportunity and I wish there was more happy tears too 🥹💔

I need a 30 minute to an hour bonus episode of the Aunt trying to date. Her scenes were hilarious so I need more. That kiss at the end made me laugh hard
As much of a rollercoaster as this was, that can be said about most Kdramas lol. I still love it and it's become one of my all time favorites. I think most us (Westerners especially), were shouting at the cops 🙌. I recommend Vincenzo next, it's so so so good.
One of the best results is the relationship between the families. I love how they came together and both sets of parents are best friends now.

So the ending is controversial. People did not like the ending how they showed a little bit of happiness and then go straight to grave.. I read that in the original ending, she lived about 10 more years and then she died. But they changed the ending without changing the original scenes so it shows the pictures of them with their young daughter and then straight to grave..... also I saw that the script was written in 2010.. the ending scenes and narrations felt like old K drama style to me. But overall I liked the drama. The acting saved this drama
the acting and the soundtrack. The first 10 episodes were great too, after that it went down.
