It was a good movie, and it was great seeing all the Thunderbirds in live action. But this opening did set the tone in a spectacular way. And a great homage to the original.
I personally love all of the new designs. They were done to very well to update the franchise, but respect the original. I particularly adore T5's design. They took probably the dullest one and made it so cool.

Honestly I really enjoyed this movie as a kid. Rewatching it as a 19 year old, it is a little cheesy, and is nothing like what I’ve seen of the original show. Ben Kingsley and Bill Paxton where easily the best parts of this movie though. I definitely would’ve enjoyed a Rescue Heroes movie esc version of this film with all the same cast if it existed. (I have a plot in mind for this, of course since I don’t know the OG show enough to feel confident to write it, and knowing me I won’t be able to finish the first season even if I do enjoy the show lol.)
Bill Paxton wasn’t bad in this. They just gave him a badly written script. Plus, if he hadn’t given them guidance from his days working on Apollo 13 it could have been a lot worse…

WISH they kept those & still aired them in Sweden. Not as terrible as many say it is but it cant compete with the original tv-series. And now, 20 years later, i think its TIME for Nostalgia Critic to review this movie and acknowledge the awsome 1965 series. James Rolfe/Angry Video Game Nerd SHOULD also do a review/tribute of the 1965 series. He also missed a chance to reference Thunderbirds when he mentioned a Thunderbird in Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link he played & reviewed. The 1965 show needs & deserve more attention & reference treatments. And the only things that are true to the Thunderbirds source material are Star Fox & Team America. 2:03 And i wonder if thats a reference to the miracle of Lengede, the disaster that inspired Gerry & Sylvia Anderson to create Thunderbirds. 💙
Ok here is my honest opinion of this movie: This movie is not bad but not too amazing. The plot is all over the place and only focuses on Alen Tracy. The rescue is extremely boring and also I don't get how Brains had a son as I never saw him during the 2015 reboot Thunderbirds are go. The machines are Eh. I love Thunderbirds 1, 3, and 5 as they are updates to the original Gary Andoson's thunderbirds. but as for Thunderbirds 2 and 4 wtf? thunderbird 2 at least looked like the original thunderbird 2 but thunderbird 4? one word: ULGY! note: I might spell Gary's name wrong but I will fix it in the future
It was a very poor film, aimed at I dont know who. It upset the original fans and was far too purile for anyone else. It needed the real International Rescue to rescue it

aside from the scenes with Alan's obnoxious "friends", this was a brilliant movie.
The opening titles and music was the best part, and of course the redesigned Thunderbirds.

As someone who had no connection to the original show, I liked this movie. Adaptations rarely match up to the original.
Original show was such a masterpiece! I highly, highly, recommend u watch it if you can! It made my childhood, honestly!

This movie really didn't deserve any of the hate it got. For all its shortcomings, it's actually a very good movie.

Apart from Sophia, Ron and Ben, this theme was the best part of what could have been a great film instead of just an ok one.
