It wasn't very scientific of me, but I held my decibel meter to the speaker and the Vevor noise level was not higher than the DeWalt and your professional and unbiased review made my decision easy. I'll be getting the Vevor today, on sale for $279.
Milwaukee here.. but still a very beginner wood worker.. lol.. and I enjoying the t-shirt that I won on a give away. People ask me about it and I do tell them tune into your show .. hopefully you have gained a few new folks to your already growing lists.. when on vacation I bragged about your utube channel. And that was about 6 hours from where I live in central Washington. Home of the Adam bomb.. lol..
Raise the cutter head and candle wax the actual cutter bed. I had the same problem with my Delta. That solved my problem. Give it a try and see if it helps.
I do prefer an all metal construction if possible but its not a deal breaker. I had planned on a planer with tax money but life decided to change that for me lol id probably go vevor over Dewalt I don't have any of thier tools yet and it could lead to expensive taste. Great video.
Nice planer. My big Delta has two speeds and a thickness setting similar to the Dewalt but better. Also has a lock to set the planer head so it doesnt move. I like that Vevor over the Dewalt.
Yeah, the Vevor was a shocker for me 2. I'm going to sell off the DeWalt and keep the Vevor machine here for now. Testing also showed no stalling out like the DeWalt does.
Guess what showed up on MY front porch today?!?! It’s was in a box marked…VEVOR!!!😲😳😎🤣🤣 I watched three other reviews after I watched yours…this thing smoked that yellow planner. Weight was a huge issue. Now I’m fairness, it does tell you it’s not designed for “very hard wood” but, pretty confident, if you kept the cuts really shallow…it would be just fine. Now I gotta figure out where to put this thing!!🤣😎
@@SirTools i KNOW that box weighted 20 lbs!!🤣🤣 I like it out of the box. I’ll get it set on a base with locking casters and fine tune the in and out tables…but I appreciate the review and recommendation. A two speed, three blade benchtop planner for 322 including shipping…had it in less than a week….that’s is a two thumbs up brother!!👍🏻👍🏻
The Vevor planer reminds me a lot of the Mastercraft planer.. It had top rollers and rollers at the end of the tables.. I would buy the Vevor planer before I would buy any Dewalt stuff
I would go for the metal construction. I have never been a brand name kinda person but I have had them and really wasn't impressed with the amount of money they cost. I have some Hart tools from frakking Wallie World that work amazing (40v outdoor stuff) and i went with ridgid for a new cordless set as the price difference was staggering compared to Dewalt, Milwaukee, etc. I do love the ones that HAVE to have the brand name though but I would rather have money in my pocket ;)
I don't know English. I like America very much. Even though I know I will never visit there, I do not answer in any language other than Polish. It's too tight here in Poland, but your large zones would allow me to launch test missiles, no, this is not exploitation, next time I will show you the cottage I would like in miniature, it is 60% complete
I've always been disappointed with planer snipe. Some planers are worse than others, but once you know how it happens, you usually live with it or don't plane those short boards.
I am not a YELLOW fan in the first place sooo yeah the pick up would leave with DeW still on it. I am not sure Vevor is an actual producer. They list a weird combination of stuff!
My new Vevor 2000 W 3 blade worked four times altogether maybe 1 hour. Then with no load the blade shaft dropped because the axel broke and I thought it exploded, you can guess what noise it makes when the shaft takes off and gets stuck inside. Vevov wanted to send parts and make me fix it myself. Enough of Vevor toys. Also the dust collector works poorly, it's oddly in the middle and the measurement thingy in the right is inaccurate as can be.
Cutting that Canadian white oak again eh ? LOLOL....Sorry for your loss. Mine is doing great and ran a barn of Douglas Fir through it. Some folks just don't have any luck with tools.
Okay….let’s go back to CNC and laser’s cause THOSE didn’t COST me anything!!! Yea, plasma cutters…WOW! What a deal!😖 Thickness planner! YOU AIN’T GONNA BELIEVE THIS!! Oh yes you can!! Yea…ordered! Oh boy!! Ya know, I’ve wanted a thickness planner for YEARS, but could never pull the trigger. I’ve got a jointer and did 90% of my planning on that. But Larry…OH LARRY!!! Free shipping (will be here by next Monday), 5% off promo code AND their special offer…Larry….322 for this!! THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-TWO! I almost felt guilty!! I’m lookin around for a fed swat team to crash my house!! 322, SHIPPING INCLUDED…three blade, 15 amp, 13 1/2 inch, metal case, solid rails (I could see them and they are comparable to dewalt), light weight, safety switch, built in dust collection, roller top return…QUITE, and you know I could go on….I JUMPED before the cart got away!!! I even paused you to google reviews, found SIXTY reviews and 95% were 5 star, remaining were 4 stars!! Not a single 1,2 or 3 star review…not a one…out of SIXTY! I saw an article that craftsman is closing up shop in Texas! Not looking Rosie for SC or Tn., craftsman plants either! And Dewalt owns Craftsmen according to the article! Blades are universal so no worries! I think vevor laid a golden egg brother!! I hesitated for about 5 minutes…then you did the sound and test run, talked about weight…and you ain’t just whistlin Dixie I ran right back in and pulled that thing back up and BAM!! Own it!!!! I have no doubt this will be one of my better tool buys to date!! That jointer was always such a pain to clean up! I might even sell if!! Brand new their goin for 450 right now!! I could pay off the planner and get a nice new sweetheart hand planner for jointing and STILL have money left over for a Big Mac!! 😎 Outstanding review my friend!! I just gotta find a place to stow it so the Mrs. don’t see it….right away anyway!!😊🙏🏻🙄 Yer gonna get me in the doghouse!! 🤣
WoW ! I was looking down at the Vevor machine and thinking I have this DeWalt and so no big deal, but once I did some test and looked over the features and the price...I was feeling it too. I'm thinking about selling off the DeWalt and keep the Vevor machine here for my needs. Now how do we explain to the wife this mmmm 🤣🤣🤣
@@SirTools 🤣🤣 I’m searching for a good hiding place now. HEY....good to know, My De Walt is gone but happy with the Vevor :)
My Vevor will be here in 3 days! Great review.
Still happy with mine here. Less money tied up is a good thing 🤠
Great review.. mine is a delta. However it's good that you give a side by side review. Thanks again for all you do !! Keep up the great work !

i'm a functionalist and not a woodworking snob - i'd go Vevor.
Very cool. Looks like a winner. Great video, thanks!
Vevor was better than expected ! Thanks Russell
Question: on the Vevor do the feed rollers change speed when the cutting speed is changed?
Thanks I also would buy the vevor

How does it go with hard wood after 3 months? I broke a planer because of hardwood..... Do you use the slow speed for hard wood?

Great review. Appreciate the honesty.
Super thanks 🤠
By the way, Amazon has this exact model for $285.99, and with the planer stand for $299. For my $, a great deal.

Said just the way I feel !
Whose blades will work in the Vevor? What about blade changing? I would like to know.
Nice review. Thanks
Thanks Ivan.
Blade Quality? are there replacement blade options?
And tools included to help with the blade change.
I’ll stick to my DW735 with the Wixey digital scale (MM & Inch)

I think I'd still go with the Dewalt. Ease in getting service and blades. Plus the 734 is $399.00 at Lowes right now.
the Dewalt does have the tool to change the blades
Just checked and Lowes shows $699 for the 734. Must be a GREAT price if you can get it for $399
I've always been disappointed with planer snipe. Some planers are worse than others, but once you know how it happens, you usually live with it or don't plane those short boards.
Snipe is at times just that....ouch
I use a hot melt glue to add a 3" sacrificial piece on the leading end. No more snipe.

Vevor is a source for cheap tools. I enjoy having less money tied up now. Can't take them to the grave with me, so....it works LOLOL
Is that a green blanket green disguised as a green screen?
No, it is sold as a "green screen" for video work
I want either but can afford neither lol
Vevor is only $288

A=Watts/Volts. 200/120=1.67A
Good math Pickles
2000 W is 16.7 amps
Here’s an idea for your next review: Cadillac vs Kia
COOL....I want the Cadilac, but my income says Kia .
Discount price at $344
If you sign up, YEAP....makes a REALLY good price.

Thanks!
Who's paying him?
When you get old enough, you don't need all your money tied up in tools. And you can't take any of it with you 🤠
