When Ella was sixteen, it would have been difficult to believe that her voice would gain color as vocally she produced incredible sound. Yet, two years later, new harmonics have become prominent.
I have been partial to female vocalists all my life. I have never heard a more dynamic vocal instrument. Ella's voice simply defies characterization. While the blending of lower and upper registers is common. This voice is the first that has qualities of the whistling register fire with the chest and head voice.
Give this artist a couple more years, as the audience will gain in sophistication. This sound is incredibly unique. Her lower register simply doesn't have alto qualities and her head voice doesn't have soprano qualities ... This nineteen-year-old will alter the long lived standards of vocal distinctions. For now, let us enjoy this song and the others on her freshman album ☺️
