I wonder how well this tree works for a heavier rider? A flex tree is said to spread and drop down on a horses back with a heavier rider. So would this work the same way?
Hi Janette, 4-Beat saddles work great for heavier riders because we have a lot of built in features designed specifically for even weight distribution. It's true that many flex tree saddles do not distribute weight evenly because they lack these features. In addition to our flexible tree, we build in a hand-made leather suspended ground seat. This allows the tree to flex evenly, while spreading out the rider's weight. It provides a sturdy, yet flexible ground seat that prevents the bars from collapsing. We also build Supracor therapeutic material underneath the tree bars and skirting. It's open-cell, honeycomb structure eliminates potential for pressure points. Supracor makes saddle pads that sell for +$300, but with our saddles it's essentially built in. You can read more about this and other features on our FAQ's page here: gaitedhorsesaddles.com/pages/imus-4-beat-gaited-saddle-frequently-asked-questions I hope this helps! Please explain how to do this verbally or without someone standing in front of the rigging when she is doing it. I was hoping to watch the process as it occurred, but unfortunately the view is blocked in this video.
I know, we need a new video. I was hoping to do it this summer but haven't yet been able to. There are a few things I'd like to video and explain each of the features in short little clips. You can see step-by-step photos with instructions here: phoenixrisingsaddles.com/product-information/imus-4-beat-saddle-info/special-three-point-rigging
Thanks from Texas.

Could you make a video with the woman not standing in front of the saddle?

good info would be better if we weren't watching that woman's back instead of what she is doing! :(
