Love the Ooni pizza ovens. Tried one out at a friend's in Finland last summer & had my eye on one myself ever since. Fun fact..
Ooni ovens were developed by a Finnish guy & his wife in Scotland & originally called Uuni (the Finnish word for oven). The rest of the world couldn't pronounce it correctly so it was changed to Ooni (how Uuni is pronounced phonetically in English). Now the Finns mispronounce it with the new spelling 😂
Cant wait to see the first forest pizza! Wild garlic, forraged mushrooms, some nuts or roots on it as well
Very nice oven and really lovely boxes. The only downside is designed in Scotland, but not made there. Happens here in Australia, so I save money by not buying stuff. Works for me!
I don't remember how the youtube algorithm ever pointed me in your direction. But it's been fun to go back and watch some of the older videos, and then catchup and see you still developing. A traveling pizza outdoorsman.
Also your editing gets better everytime. I think your getting better at realizing how you can show off a long process with a few quick clips. Keep it up Alex! I'm so excited to see you cooking pizzas on the water side.

The thing that makes unboxing channels really good is that they open things very deliberately and slowly and it causes lots of nice crunchy ASMR sounds. Love the new pizza oven! I cannot wait to see your first wild forgeable pizza made in the VAN. I wonder how you'll make pizza dough IN THE FOREST, I am very excited.

Had the same oven as you’ve got there for the last few months. Takes a little getting used to, but it’s a fantastic piece of kit. So many more things you cook beside pizza in it. Try steaks on a skillet with it.

Hi Alex. As a knife collector i was impressed to see how sharp you keep your SAK. I have several and they are in general à very underestimated piece of kit. May i suggest you watch some youtube vids by Félix Immler. You will be surprised what he does with just that little knife. All the best mate.

I don’t know who you are but I think you probably came my way because of your veggie garden, but as a middle aged bird in Australia I’m surprised how of my interests you’ve covered - mushrooms, bees, van camping, rural cabins… now the exact Ooni I’ve been planning to buy. Kind of freaky.
By the way, by far the best unboxing of the few I’ve seen. A good amount of unrelated storytelling & a healthy lack of deference to the subject matter. A perfect 5 out of 7.

Brilliant,❤️ it 🙌 ! Just bought an Ooni Karu 16 . Great ovens even better when you make your own dough and easy to do just a bit of a long process with the waiting but worth plus you can freeze the dough . Keep the videos coming 👍
I have the original Ooni a few years. Gas is 100% the way to go with them just so much easier to control.

Great video, I got an IR thermometer the other day and checked the temperature of everything too 😆😆
I used to work in a bar that had a 12 pizza oven, 60 pizzas a night was a hard shift. all the pizzas needed 3 mins each but they also had to be rotated. 6 on top 6 bellow every pizza spent the same amount of time in every part of the oven. while the 12 pizzas were in the other 12 were being made

For travelling in your van you would of been better off buying a Cobb oven/cooker,(look them up),cook literally anything in them,just thinking of room in your new van,the next buys will be a tow bar and a trailer for all your stuff lol😆,what ever makes you happy Alex,top lad😀👍

Alex, watching your van right now, You should make a bunk bed design, I think the van is high enough? You can sleep on top, and have storage on the bottom :D Just a thought really, I like your videos :)
