If you want to play these levels for yourself, here are all the course IDs: Super World ID: NDH-JW6-HGG Brinstar (0:58): C68-YRJ-4KG Kraid's Lair (6:56): MW5-PRF-6FF Norfair (11:43): 1X0-SM0-C6G Ridley's Lair (16:15): BPQ-QTV-2XF Tourian (20:02): Q79-64H-RGF
Superball would be a must have, that would be the most important thing. Next thing is to make the levels look sci-fi, and have enemies that mix with this theme. A super world could be named "Superball Metroid".
This was an incredible recreation. I've only played Zero Mission and not the original Metroid, but I recognized familiar places and rooms. Really wish Metroid were as easy to KO as those squids xD
Yeah, I figured just doing the NES game would be too simple, so I took some creative touches. Couldn't really replicate the Metroids as well though but it's ok
This was really impressive! I was able to instantly recognize the level layouts and what most Mario enemies represented, and it was neat that you even included the Zero Mission mini-bosses. Having Link as the player character in this Mario Maker recreation is also rather clever, since Metroid is described as "Mario's platforming meets Zelda's exploration". Bravo!
It's funny how originally I just did Kraid's Lair Standalone, but that was before the Link Power Up got introduced, so I had to remove it and make some edits for it lol But thank you! I'm still super happy with how this turned out :)
@@jessicarudderham8489 as much as I'd love to, the scope of that is far too large for a game that I don't really actively play anymore Maybe if Mario Maker 3 comes out I'll do it
Thats incredible, it is pretty awsome and seems that had a lot of work behind. Maybe you should put another type of walls on "mother brain" boss fight for not letting her run out of her "prison", but Im really amazed with all. Omw yo give you the support that you deserve!
ok 1 Question Why Link from Zelda? This is Metroid Man it Suppose to be Samus..... but I guess for Samus it would just be Cosmetic her Arm Cannon wouldn't be able to kill Enemies like in Metroid......
...there's no way to play Samus in Mario Maker 2. They removed the mystery mushroom from Mario Maker 1 so I couldn't even make Samus playable even cosmetically
I've been asked that many times, but Metroid 2's rooms are a lot more spacious, in a way that wouldn't really fit in the style of Mario Maker, so I decided to pass on that Not to mention my interest for Mario Maker died shortly after this

@@SylkaChan Superball is cool and all, and could've worked, but I feel the Master Sword allowed for more freedom in both combat and puzzles
This was extremely creative.
Nice work! This just makes me cursious on how a Mario Metroidvania could play out

I love this! What a nice trip. I like how you've reinterpreted the locks and keys! The music is real justice!
The amount of efort and time into this is really amazing!
Yeah, I remember working really hard on this
Very happy about that still!

I kinda wanted to include a Ridley-Bossfight in my Super World at some point, thanks for the inspiration of how I could make him appear out of nowhere
Yo this is so clean. The vid is well edited and the levels look super fun can't wait to try this out!
Plz do Super Metroid next ✨

This was really good.
I'm definitely playing one of these levels during my free time
Now to make the supreme metroid experience you have to make it a night time sky theme for that AMAZING nes Metroid low gravity experience
You're so right
This is so cool!
Good video
Have I been under a rock or do I not remember Link being added to SMM2? Last update I remember was the world builder.
Oh Link was added to SMM2 BEFORE the World Builder (December 2019 to be exact!)
7:32 acid worm skip opportunity
Glad someone noticed! That was intentional :)
Lore of Recreating Metroid (NES) in Super Mario Maker 2 momentum 100
Awesome job
Looks better than The Adventure of Link.
I thought we would see Link in a bikini at the end of the
That would've been funny ngl

CUTE
If you beat it in under an hour do you get to see Mario in his boxers?
That'd be silly if you did
Maybe it would be a little silly
👍👍😊
Best is Kraid lair
first
Shut the up :v
