Media does not give an F about seattle, highly unlikely a seahawks player EVER wins an individual award like this unless his stats are miles above second spot
If he played for a different team, with the same stats he would definitely get it. But since he's with the Seahawks, they don't even consider it. HE DESERVES IT
Tbf Trey Hendrickson is the reason the Bengals Have a chance at all on defense 😂 like i watched a game where if it wasnt for his 2 and half sacks they would have lost to the Titans 🤣🤣🤣
If we wanna beat LA we need to shut that run game down with our D line and we need to shut down kupp and Puka cuz dayummm our DBs gonna get shredded up like some cheese
The tendency to blame Seattle Seahawks' offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb for the team's woes is misguided. Three quarterback interceptions, including two in the Red Zone and a pick 6, are not reflective of Grubb's coaching acumen. Moreover, Grubb is hindered by General Manager John Schneider's inability to provide a competent offensive line. As a Washington Huskies fan, I hold Grubb in high regard, comparable to Mike Holmgren, but recognize that his success is contingent upon a reliable offensive line and franchise quarterback, neither of which he currently has.
He's been the key to the defensive turnaround. I think he's the dpoy.

No, that was #13.
20 mill plus contract coming
He’s our team MVP and the single most important player as to why we have a winning record and are even in the playoff conversation.
He SHOULD be considered, but the national media hates Seattle so he probably won't even get a vote.
I think tj Watt will be it he had 6 forced fumbles this year and combined with the sacks and tfl he has the overall best season to me
To think the Giants would have had both Dexter Lawrence and Big Kat.
Perhaps he wouldn’t have blossomed in NY though. I think he fits well with McDonald’s scheme.
@GEEmale starting to become the sb dL
Totally agree, yes he should!
I agree he should, but its so unlikely the west doesn't get much recognition
If he played for a different team, with the same stats he would definitely get it. But since he's with the Seahawks, they don't even consider it.
HE DESERVES IT
For sure
He better get an AP position.
I think he should be nominated for for sure
at the very least he should be all-pro, especially with dex injured half the season
Andrew van Ginkel has 11 sacks, two ints, both pick 6, one of them was 67 yards + he has two games left… he should definitely be a candidate.
Big Cat has blocked a kick, had a pick 6, several sacks, I think maybe even a strip sack or two. He has had an amazing season!
He should def be in the running
Big Cat and Spoon are neck and neck for the Seahawks DPOY tbh. But Williams has the flashier stats
Spoon was mid the whole first half of the season,it’s big kat, maybe ej4 tho
Yes, the Cat should get DPOY. Dude has been dominant. GO HAWKS!!
He should but he won't.
Yes!
7:04 brother lets not down play that. Double digit sacks is good doesn’t have to be 20
Seattle will never win an award like this unless it’s a clear cut win like Shaun Alexander
Tbf Trey Hendrickson is the reason the Bengals Have a chance at all on defense 😂 like i watched a game where if it wasnt for his 2 and half sacks they would have lost to the Titans 🤣🤣🤣
He won’t but should be in the convo, he’s our defensive MVP of the season no doubt.
Awards are a popularity contest weather he wins or loses he deserves it
I agree but sadly big kat is in Seattle they don’t give yearly awards to Seattle players
Cortez Kennedy got Defensive Player of the Year after the 1992 season, which those of us old enough to remember, it was by far Seattle's worst season.
The Seahawks would have to win the division for them to even consider giving it to him and even then he probably won’t
Not yet but I think he for sure is in contention. If he has another 2 sack game then I think yes
I think the braintrust is Murphy who is allowing Cat to just make plays, as Murphy is clogging lanes and being a wall.
Imagine this defense with a serviceable NT freeing up both Murphy n Williams to wreck havoc
@ which is why my biggest disappointment this season is Cameron Young
@ true, i who does that pick fall on? JS 👀
@@ChristopherCoronaComedy 100%. It’s on the gm.
YES HE SHOULD 😊👍 but he prob won’t
😊 yes
All Pro definitely
If we wanna beat LA we need to shut that run game down with our D line and we need to shut down kupp and Puka cuz dayummm our DBs gonna get shredded up like some cheese

Its going to be someone boring like TJ Watt or Miles Garrett. The media slobbers themselves when talking about those two.
yeah jjs got this on lock fs
