I have 4, 2019 Alphas. 3 Silber and one solid. Never had a motor fail. Has a pile of hand warmers short out and throw codes. Had to reverse tow one when the rear axle block failed but that was the only time it came home not under its own power. I use to run turbo Polaris’s until 2019 and they were throw aways at 1500 miles. The Cats hold up so much better. I would have totaled a couple Polaris’s by now. The cat front end is so much better than a Polaris. I can’t remember the last time I had to change an a arm. The. Alpha rail is weaker but they are cheap and I haven’t done one in a season until the most recent ride but my 146 Solid turbo spends 50% of the day on the back wheels so I think that might have had something to do with it.
i have a 2019 alpha with a silber turbo. ran flawlessly for 4 years and then rode it on a 3' day and developed a low end bog where it runs on one cylinder. Compression is good, fuel is good...some sort of a spark issue me thinks. Good luck man
P1005 is voltage regulator and/or stator low voltage output. I’ve seen these M8000 motors fry stators unfortunately. Cheap parts though. Hopefully just voltage regulator.
Matt, I would love to know the diagnosis on your cat because my 2018 m8000 is having similar gauge issues and it wants to bog out sometimes when I start it, if I shut it off and start it the bog goes away but the gauge is intermittent and all black. Started happening last weekend out and haven't ridden since. I'm thinking its a connection issue too, but on the actual gauge not the hood harness.
Never mind, found out why the bog was happening. Where my power valve cable goes into the power valve through the plate with two screws is worn out from the cable pushing on it and vibrating the shit out of it. That was causing my power valve to occasionally stick open on startup and run like shite. My gauge now also works fine LOL. Think it got a bunch of moisture in it so I took it inside to dry out.
I thought I seen the cluster Christmas tree for a second in yesterdays video. Was doing the same thing as the end of the video. Hopefully it’s just a broken wire in an easy spot
For sure. Had a 2015 m8 a few years back.... never worked on a snowmachine so much in my life. Got rid of that after one winter and never looked at a cat again...
@@MaxRay-wr4yr thats exactly what mine is, rides beautifully tons of power (its got some aftermarket goodies) im not kidding the night i bought it the recoil shit the bed and it was at the dealership for a week, they kept snapping recoils, leaking head bolts, throttle bodies falling off the reeds, fuel pump i went for a ride to a local lake its about and hour rip and blew threw 4 belts in that time frame had to call the wife to go get me more belts just to get me home, i could go on unfortunately
@@hjaltigto have you recently seen his short on the amount of things that he has had to change or fix on that thing trying to bulletproof it and it’s still breaks down every single winter……
Back to the shop with the Turbo!

I also run a '19 ALPHA. Watching you run with no temp gauge gives me anxiety. IYKYK
Man the alpha is a love hate relationship. Love it cause it looks sick but hate it when it doesn't run right. Love the vids keep em coming
My M7 did this once. Intermittent coil drop out was the issue. Hope you get it fixed up.

How do you like the solid turbo?? Asking for a friend 😉
Check the harness between the can and recoil. Had a few thru the shop that chafed thru the heat wrap and harness there
Looking like a new 858 , great video , keep it up .
Time for new iron. Just snag an 858 and be done with it.
sorry about your sled Matt. thx for the always great content.
oh shit, thats our old avalanche instructor. Really good teacher!
Well I'd love to have any snow conditions at all XD glad someone is out there riding though

Put some dielectric grease on your connections Matt. I’ve seen Polaris do that with moisture in the connections.
Eight Fiddy Eight time!
I love Arctic cat but after that trip on a newer machine and having problems I know where that sled would be going to a new owner
Definitely

Why??

My guess is voltage regulator is shot. Might be time to upgrade to a newer sled
Next year you will see me out there
do you still have safety throttle switch connected?
Man I miss this place :(
Hey yo bud I have a few questions about my zr rr 2015 belt drive?? If yall don’t mind
Stock or walk.
The sled i have now is my first and last arctic cat
Been there. Done that.

@@MaxRay-wr4yrHad an 08 M1000 for a few years. Modded and wrenched on it for days and days.
My 98 is about to hit 4k miles and still going strong. Only thing major that had to be replaced was the primary.
6 year old sled with an after market turbo on it. Not an arctic cat problem.
Ben riding a Doo? Never thought he would change over
Might be some water in the fuel?
My gauge was powering on and off when the voltage regulator burnt out.
Bad throttle override.?
Rocky mountain dammage report when?
Stator ?
@syxxes what gloves were you wearing this trip? CKX?
Yes we are all wearing Ckx elevation gloves and they’re excellent! Warm, dry, durable and much more affordable than any other gloves we have ran
@@ben_syxxes8179 thank you!
What was it
It could also be that little crash you had in another video went back over probably pinched a wire for sure
It's your tether cord
Niceee😂
It's time 2 snag a new 858 or a lynx maybe 🤔
Guarantee that's electrical
That thing is a money pit!
Matt can brake every brand of sleds....
Time to switch brands my guy
like the other brands dont have problems 🤣....
