I really truly love this junk Journal. It is what I think a junk Journal really is all about. I keep coming back to it and it has inspired me to finally get my stamp collection out of a shoe box and use my old maps. Thank you so much. Chris
The papers used go so well together with the stamps. Beautiful book and as you said, you can collect more stamps as long as you want. Thank you for showing Debbie.
What a lovely way to showcase those postage stamps! Loved the journal, inspired me to check out what may be stored away that could be put in a journal like this. TFS!
I don't know how many times I've watched this video, at least 10 maybe more. It inspires me every time. One day i hope to make my own 'Big Red'. I've been saving items to go into it for the past few years. I just need to find the right book to get me started.
You are, without a doubt, the QUEEN of junk journals. Your journals are always, always gorgeous and interesting. The craftsmanship is remarkable and this one is no exception. I never miss one of your videos.....eye candy I tell you! TFS. Joanne
I love Big Red!! Love how neat it looks. I want to make some similar to the way you make them. I wish that you had videos that show step by step from gutting the old books to attaching the signatures in the covers. I love all that I've seen of yours.
Thank you for this flip through. Very inspiring and definitely given me a lot of ideas. I always thought journals are suppose to write in, but it could also be an album of paper and ephemera collection. I am working on a new junk journal and I've decided not to write in it too, and just be an album of beautiful junks. Thank you! ❤️
One picture in one stamp seemed very familiar and then I realized it is Tallinn, Estonia with the tower of the church I attended for a long time. What a coincidence! :D I love all your journals and I want to learn to make something like this too!
Thank you Melinda, I've only recently started to add my favourite postage stamps. I have a playlist of shorts if you're interested: ruclips.net/p/PL0k-pKbO2z1MZ97MdPRFHxSSkTcUglmYv
so much to love about this journal...history, preservation, and an art style that is limitless. love the placement of elements...so much room to enjoy them and even see them. exquisite! adding this one to my JJ Pinterest Board for '17. Happy New Year to you and yours as well! xRenee
Hi Sweetie! This book is just wonderful! I love it that you will continue to add stamps. I am gathering for our swap but am just trying to learn about Facebook so I can get info for mailing to you. Hope you will forgive my ignorance of new technology. Lol
Your Junk Journal is amazing and inspires me to do the same type of thing with one of my old books from the thrift store, only it will be quotes I think with birds (which I love) fairies and nature. Your work is just lovely!
What a satisfying journal! You mention buying stamps at auctions... but do you happen to have any tips for seperating stamps from envelopes you've received in regular mail without damaging the stamp?
Love this Debbie! It's on my to do list too, I've collected stamps for a while :) fun to see some Norwegian stamps in there and the cover is amazing! :)
Hi Debbie-Anne!! I love this journal to pieces. And I am so inspired to use my growing collection of vintage stamps that have been given to me. I would love to know how you plan to use this journal. I think it's wonderful just as is, but I would love to know what you plan to do with it. I feel so inspired. Thanks and hugs! Juliana
Juliana Beasley thanks so much. Like I mentioned in the video I'm using it to feature the stamps. I'll add more of them as I go. I think it will be fun to flip through it someday when my grandson is older and can appreciate the details in the stamps. Glad you're inspired xo.
They're used much the same way any notebook, planner, journal is used for: diary, listmaking, art journal, planner, bible study, etc. Please visit my junk journal website for all kinds of ideas: www.vintagejunkjournals.com. Thank you!
This is so wonderful I wanted to thank you for all the help you've given this self taught girl. I couldn't have done it without you. I've just given my altered books as gifts. I found that not all book makers are interested in helping others learn It took me awhile to figure out they just like to show their goods and like the sound of their voices,ha! Which they have the right to do but you are very special. Question, did you use white craft tex on this book? It's delightful !!Thank you!
I learn a lot just by watching your videos of completed journals. I know you said this will showcase your ephemera, but I assume you also use it for memory keeping or listing. I've seen your video about using your books for listing. Do you write on the pattern paper like a journal? If you do, do you use a special pen? I've used your collections in my journals, but then they're too pretty to use! 😊
This one is for ephemera only, but when I do write in my jj's, I write everywhere. If the patterned paper is too dark I staple or tape notepaper on top. You could also use a white gel pen. Thanks for watching :)
One of the most beautiful junk journals I have seen so far. It is stunning. How did you get the signatures in? Did you sew them in in a regular paper cover first and then glued the spine of the paper ti the book spine? What size are the signatures? I think this book is the perfect size.
The first link in the description will take you to a tutorial where I show how I insert the signatures. I can't recall right now, but I think there are 8 to 12 sheets in each signature, and the book is 6x9" (not sure what sizes specifically you were asking about...). Thank you, so much!
AHI there, I love your stuff I subscribe and have bought most of your kits...do you use tape or glue when you are adding your embellishments like stamps or in the big red book?
Love your journal style! Will you please tell me where I can find Prima downloads...I do not sell journals...only make them for myself. Thank you so much for sharing this personal journal!
Unless I'm overlooking something on their website...One must be a "merchant" (which I'm not) to open an account to then have access to their products. Is this how you were able to acquire the downloads?
We spoke about four wks ago. I told you I would like to share fibers/lace. I was quite impressed with a book you had done. Unfortunately I do not remember which book. (They are all so great). We have had company from UK for six weeks. I am a bit drained. Lol. So sorry but if you are still interested ........
Hey, I've seen your videos a million times and now I'm making my own! I wanted to ask, do you sew your signatures and then shape them or vice versa? Thanks!
I really truly love this junk Journal. It is what I think a junk Journal really is all about. I keep coming back to it and it has inspired me to finally get my stamp collection out of a shoe box and use my old maps. Thank you so much. Chris

That sounds great. There's nothing like creating a journal with materials you've chosen with care. Enjoy the process ❤️
Totally agree. Can I ask you, what paper do you use to print out your journal pages, I love the way they sound as you go through the book.
In this one I printed some images on the back of patterned paper from a paper pad. They turned out quite nice.
Wow, this journal is a masterpiece! I could watch this video over and over again!
Thank you Daniela, I'm glad you like it!

This is so perfect! Love it
I admire your art very much. Happy New Year. :)
amazing simply amazing,,,,,,
This is fabulous, where do you find all this wonderful ephemera?
Fabulous journal, did you stitch through the spine or add an insert?
I love the idea of using junk journals as a home for stamp collections. Do you use stamp hinges for placing them in the journal?
No, just archival tape runner. Thank you :)
Love it!
I learn a lot just by watching your videos of completed journals. I know you said this will showcase your ephemera, but I assume you also use it for memory keeping or listing. AHI there,
I love your stuff I subscribe and have bought most of your kits...do you use tape or glue when you are adding your embellishments like stamps or in the big red book?
I typically use glue, but occasionally tape. Thank you!
Your book is very lovely! How did you sew the 3 signatures into the book?
Thank you, here's my usual technique ruclips.net/video/ArQnKtT22l0/видео.html
Love your journal style! Will you please tell me where I can find Prima downloads...I do not sell journals...only make them for myself. Thank you so much for sharing this personal journal!
Anne Lenox Thank you! They're on the Prima Marketing website.
Unless I'm overlooking something on their website...One must be a "merchant" (which I'm not) to open an account to then have access to their products. Is this how you were able to acquire the downloads?
Anne Lenox I cannot find it either.
Are you going to sale that at Etsy? That's very nice 👍
Since you are not selling this book, how will you use it? Love your videos! Thank you for making them!
Abundantly Yours As I said in the video, it's to showcase my favourite ephemera, mostly stamps. Thanks 😊
Sorry! I was listening while working. Must have missed that part! :)
Hi
I’m a new watcher. Do you have a tutorial on how you sew your signatures in?
Thank you 😊
I have a bookbinding playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PL0k-pKbO2z1MBhJqnWM-CNDtuLzj4oDdX
Did you glue the signatures in?
Judy Roy no they're sewn in.
How do you insert the book pages that comes with another book? Thanks for sharing.
JollyRose143 There are many ways - plz check out the link to tutorials in the description below the video. thank you for watchimg !

Patty Devoux Ok we spoke about swapping supplies right? Contact me privately when it's convenient and we can discuss details. 😊
Hey, I've seen your videos a million times and now I'm making my own!
I wanted to ask, do you sew your signatures and then shape them or vice versa?
Thanks!
הודיה ברגר ?shape
Design
הודיה ברגר thank you. I sew them first and then add embellishments.
How did you gut the book and then add pages back in?
Lindsey Pilz that's explained in the first link in the description 😊
what will you use it for now its done?
From this point, do you just use these journals to write in? Or is this the completely finished product?
Journals I make for myself are seldom for journaling/writing. This one is for showcasing the old ephemera and the stamps.
