Some of our new members (South Sudanese) who speak reasonable English but struggle to read it are watching and enjoying these and the bible videos. Watching this, when Alma said “wickedness never was happiness,” it occurred to me that he was talking about his own past wickedness. It never hit me like that before, but he really was speaking from painful personal experience, not just about wickedness in general. I feel so blessed to be seeing these videos.

I have ADHD and have listened to the scriptures for many years. Reading them is often difficult. Having something to watch with the scriptures in them helps me to really focus much better. I know they are not a substitute for the scriptures, however, it does allow me to think about what I have listened to in the past and as I combine the two in my head, I have gained a greater appreciation for the scriptures. I know the Book of Mormon is true as I have for the last 33 years.
I understand. and agree . in my case, i have had a tbi and find reading comprehension concerns. But there are many people who just are more visual and the videos convey a strong message that reading may not for some. Others as me have to read and re-read a chapter several times, even review with others before really understanding and 'getting it' and even feeling it. But with the videos, i can feel it right away . its real.
I have ADHD and I totally know where you're coming from. Too often when reading the scriptures I get bored and my mind starts to wander when I know I shouldn't. I've been trying to get better at paying more attention to my spiritual growth but it's been difficult. These videos help a lot though.

Alma is such a great example of a parent. Compassionate towards Corianton while counseling one troubled child. May I be blessed to have such characteristic.
This is what i am going to do when i will become a father. Alma the younger is one of the example of a loving father, a good teacher and has the ability to discipline his children in a good and proper way.

Remember the pleasure that you would feel when you do the wrong things that you're thinking right will be just in a small period of time. Choose to follow Him because He is our Eternal Father and what He wants for us is also for our eternity. 💜

As an LDS (Member of the church) I feel the same way, and I remember what parents always say: "The scriptures have a lot of power, The power is from Christ above..." Me watching one video everyday gives me energy to do all things I need to do. Reading the Book Of Mormon really builds up my faith in the lord.

I know it’s been a year since you posted this comment but please don’t give up! Depression is so dark and fearful and can feel like there is no good left or that there never was a time of peace. I have felt this overwhelming heaviness in my life. It’s at times unbearable. There are brighter days ahead though. I hope you find them.
How connected I was to Alma striving so hard for his sons to keep faith and not fall into sin. Every parent knows this heartbreaking task, especially when one of your own steps away into the sins of the world. We don't always handle this crisis with the loving words and attitude of Alma. Fear dominates our spirit when children endanger themselves. I admire Alma's compassionate nature. No arguments, anger or yelling. Just supportive and loving even when admonishing. Would that all of us could be so at this moment when we despair of the wrong path our children are taking. Continue to love them and pray for them no matter how 'good' or 'bad' they are.
When I first read this scripture and heard him say “go no more after those wicked harlots,” it felt as if he was condemning them. But after watching this video, I realized that I misunderstood him. He was once a sinner too, and understood that they did not have the light of the gospel and that “wickedness never was happiness.” In other words, he understood that these women were not truly happy. He wanted his son to stand as a witness of God, so that these women would see a disciple of Jesus Christ, one who treated all men and women with dignity and respect. Even if some of these women never stopped to listen, at least they would remember one man who did not look at them as objects, but as spirit children of God. I’m so grateful for these videos, because it can help people see how much the prophets cared about their people ❤

I can feel the Spirit of God every moment when I watch these series of the book of Mormon videos. I can immerse on all beautiful accounts like I was living there. Many years ago I was reading 3 Nefi and all my mind, my whole body and my soul was transferred into that moments in the past when Jesus Christ descended from the Heaven, was so beautiful moment in my life and strength my testimony on the truly another Testimony of Jesus Christ this Sacred book is. I will appreciate when when all videos will translate to Spanish and another languages. I love how each episode in The Book of Mormon series is excellently produced to teach The Book of Mormon to the world. It one thing to read it but another to use the God given talents of the vrious actors to illustrte its truths.

Alma the younger his sons, one after the other reminds me of the importance of family councils. There is a whole lot of good family councils can do to help us to continue to stay on the strait and narrow path. I admonished to take family council very seriously.

(I was kinda thinking/hoping they were going to get Alma's perspective as he was passed out, but I can see that it would be hard to portray. Also it might be traumatic for children to show him suffering.) Alma the Younger could understand the struggles and snares Corianton had faced. Alma's own experience he would help him understand and be able to somewhat emphasize with Corianton.

I loved this video! Sometimes I wonder how people can believe that the book of mormon was made up by Joseph smith. How could Joseph have made up the part about the resurrection. He only had a 3rd grade education and could hardly spell. To me that just shows more proof that it was from God. "with God nothing is impossible!"
Don't forget the other three witnesses and followed by 8 witnesses they put their names out there that the plates of brass/records/ancient scripturrs are true that they're able to see and touched them personally...
I think that video may not be released for several months unfortunately. They had planned to film the book of Helaman and 3rd Nephi this summer, but I'm sure that's delayed due to COVID-19. As much as I would love another new Book of Mormon video, there probably won't be one for a while.
I wished they'd shown him telling Helaman about the society-destroying secrets of the Jaredites so I could see if Helaman found that information as spooky and scary as I did. hahaha
I have a request. Right now it seems to me that this playlist is backwards. Would it be too much to ask that this playlist be resorted into chronological order with the first being on top. The result of which being that you can just start the playlist and have the videos progress sequentially in proposer chronological order?
Do all thing in obedience to keep His commandment in accordingly to His Will to be like Himself even in Jesus Christ 's Atonement for our sins that we may not suffer like He suffered..,but only to trust in His word to keep & endure to the end till He comes again .
In the teachings of Alma the Younger to his son Shiblon, we find wise counsel and warnings that help us remain faithful to our covenants: “See that ye are not lifted up unto pride; yea, see that ye do not boast in your own wisdom, nor of your much strength. “Use boldness, but not overbearance; and also see that ye bridle all your passions, that ye may be filled with love; see that ye refrain from idleness.”7
Alma was at the end of his days and before he went he called his sons to give them a blessing. Helaman was given The Book of Mormon and was told to take good care of it. Shiblon was told to have faith on his mission. Corianton got reprimanded. Instead of preaching the gospel Corianton went into a brothel and slept with the harlot Isabel. Alma told Corianton to repent or he would be cast down to Hell and he will suffer the same eternal torment Alma suffered when he plotted to destroy the church. This lesson teaches us to have faith and not get into pride and also for you men out there stay away from immorality it will drag you down to Hell.
Great video. Constructive criticism: The expressions on characters, particularly Alma the senior’s face talking to his first son, and his emotion talking to him were out of place - for example, the artificial smiles when smiling was out of place. It appeared to me Alma Seniors emotion was excellent when talking to Corianton.
I noticed Alma said a lot less to Shiblon than he did to Helaman and Coriantumr, which I think the reason for that is that he was more righteous than the other two. He already knew what needed to be done, and understood the word of God, which required little to be said to him as he already understood it so fully. Coriantumr required a lot to be said to him because of his wickedness, and I hope that he did indeed repent.
You’ll find in later chapters of the Book of Mormon that Corianton does indeed go on to continue preaching and being a righteous leader. I would suggest that Helaman wasn’t necessarily any less righteous than his brother Shiblon, but Alma spoke to him at greater length probably because he was being entrusted specifically with the responsibility of caring for the scriptures and other sacred artifacts.
Yeah, as we've said we can't judge these guys, but it might be fair to say that Helaman got those responsibilities because he needed them. Shiblon had his own stuff.

Reading the Book of Mormon and watching the videos gives me in-depth understanding.
This one really touched me. Alma was so bold and clear, even (and maybe especially) with his family, and he was full of love. I want to be like him.

I love being member in LDS chruch i know the book of mormon is truly Word Of GOD and the Chruch restored by Prophet Joseph Smith.

Sometimes I wonder how people can believe that the book of mormon was made up by Joseph smith. How could Joseph have made up the part about the resurrection. He only had a 3rd grade education and could hardly spell. To me that just shows more proof that it was from God. "with God nothing is impossible!"

Don't forget the other three witnesses and followed by 8 witnesses they put their names out there that the plates of brass/records/ancient scripturrs are true that they're able to see and touched them personally...

I think that video may not be released for several months unfortunately. They had planned to film the book of Helaman and 3rd Nephi this summer, but I'm sure that's delayed due to COVID-19. As much as I would love another new Book of Mormon video, there probably won't be one for a while.

I have a request. Right now it seems to me that this playlist is backwards. Would it be too much to ask that this playlist be resorted into chronological order with the first being on top. The result of which being that you can just start the playlist and have the videos progress sequentially in proposer chronological order?

In the teachings of Alma the Younger to his son Shiblon, we find wise counsel and warnings that help us remain faithful to our covenants:
“See that ye are not lifted up unto pride; yea, see that ye do not boast in your own wisdom, nor of your much strength.
“Use boldness, but not overbearance; and also see that ye bridle all your passions, that ye may be filled with love; see that ye refrain from idleness.”7

Helaman! The stripling warriors
Alma was at the end of his days and before he went he called his sons to give them a blessing. Helaman was given The Book of Mormon and was told to take good care of it. Shiblon was told to have faith on his mission. Corianton got reprimanded. Instead of preaching the gospel Corianton went into a brothel and slept with the harlot Isabel. Alma told Corianton to repent or he would be cast down to Hell and he will suffer the same eternal torment Alma suffered when he plotted to destroy the church. This lesson teaches us to have faith and not get into pride and also for you men out there stay away from immorality it will drag you down to Hell.

Great video. Constructive criticism: The expressions on characters, particularly Alma the senior’s face talking to his first son, and his emotion talking to him were out of place - for example, the artificial smiles when smiling was out of place. It appeared to me Alma Seniors emotion was excellent when talking to Corianton.

Yes, with the exception of a shorter piece that should be published later this year. There is more filming to come, though!
I noticed Alma said a lot less to Shiblon than he did to Helaman and Coriantumr, which I think the reason for that is that he was more righteous than the other two. He already knew what needed to be done, and understood the word of God, which required little to be said to him as he already understood it so fully. Coriantumr required a lot to be said to him because of his wickedness, and I hope that he did indeed repent.
You’ll find in later chapters of the Book of Mormon that Corianton does indeed go on to continue preaching and being a righteous leader.
I would suggest that Helaman wasn’t necessarily any less righteous than his brother Shiblon, but Alma spoke to him at greater length probably because he was being entrusted specifically with the responsibility of caring for the scriptures and other sacred artifacts.

Yeah, as we've said we can't judge these guys, but it might be fair to say that Helaman got those responsibilities because he needed them. Shiblon had his own stuff.
