It is refreshing to listen to a North American who is knowledgeable experienced and helpful with no agenda or obnoxious bro sales pitch or outlandish claims just practical experience.
Hey, great question! I think it depends on your use case, however, overall I think at this moment in time custom GPTs are better because a) they have a whole ecosystem to get started with, including many third party apps building into it (Gemini I'm sure will have this in a bit), and b) I like that for my use cases there was more flexibility in things like sending webhooks into and out of ChatGPT (which is not possible in Gemini yet). However, this could easily change and I think having the built in Google Workspace is a powerful feature that has a lot of potential.
Hey there, I'm not a lawyer, and it heavily depends on the country/jurisdication you're in. A PDF book is just one small example of the many things you can do with uploading documents in a platform like Gemini, and I imagine that for most of my personal use cases, there would not be any copyright issues. But just in the particular example I showed that is relevant to anyone, it could either be fair use or a copyright issue - to what extend I don't know. Thanks for the question :)
I bet bro automates his RUclips comment response. But I can’t blame him. Just takes some of the personality out of the comments. Let me know if I’m wrong
I actually just spent 6 hours on yesterday going through every comment one by one making sure nothing wasn’t replied to. Takes me about 10 hours per week, which I do because I love helping others out (I find most of the creators I watch just don’t reply to comments at all). Not sure you read them but a lot of the time they’re essay answers to basic questions - especially on my more technical videos :)
I think many of us misunderstand this automation and new tech - it is the opportunity to dedicate your time to what you love doing and spending less time in mundane tasks.
@ thanks for the response Jono. This feels more real. Sorry for jumping to conclusions and I am glad you can dedicate more time for what’s important to growing your community by automating other things. Anyway, your channel is a goldmine and I appreciate what you do.
You only pay if the value > money, just like paying for anything in life. Take food for example, you pay because the value of eating (and not going hungry) is greater than the money you have. Some people value the time and productivity gains from Gemini more than ~$20/month

Hahah, thanks 🙏
Such a complete summary, especially for someone who is newer to Gemini
Hey, thank you very much, really appreciate it :)
Will be nice when the general public can use it
Hey there! Thanks for the comment. All these features are available to everyone; however, some feature require a paid plan :)
String theory for toddlers got a genuine lol from me.

Great podcast..
Hey, thank you very much :)
Your summary is incredibly comprehensive!

How would you compare ChatGPT GPTs or Projects versus Gem?

Are there any copyright issues uploading pdf books??

The only feature I need is to remove Gemini entirely
