- Since the recent spate of acid attacks committed by psychopaths on mopeds in London, the media has finally sat up and taken notice. Unfortunately, the Police appear hamstrung in what they can do to stop these animals roaming the streets so its up to everyone to look out for themselves.
The College of Policing Authorised Professional Practice guidelines on pursuit lays so many obstacles in the way of the police its no wonder they just let the thieves, psychos and murderers go on their merry way.

I lived in spain for 2 years and saw directly how the police deal with these scumbags they will chase them at high speed so close it makes them crash or they will knock them off believe me. The best bit is when they drag them off in handcuffs to a van without calling an ambulance.

This is what happens to citizens who are not allowed to protect themselves. Pepper spray, Tacer and even night sticks ( baton ) are not allowed to be carried. Only a whistle is allowed to call a useless bobby.

It's not the parents fault. Every person on this planet, makes their own choices in life. It doesn't matter how the person was raised, wealthy/poor family, doesn't matter. If some person wants to do crimes, that's a choice they made. They should be the ones to be punished for what they do. I agree 100%, all crimes should have stiffer penalties applied. These mopped scum, should be put behind bars for minimum of 5 years with a fine of 15,000 for 1st offence, 10 years with a fine of 30,000 for 2nd, 15 years with a fine of 60,000 for 3rd and so on... It's about time the world wakes the f&%k up and start harsher punishments for all crimes. Too many people just get a slap on the wrist and told to not do it again.

Age 15 - Sees those who left school before him taking drugs, selling them and making strong money - they are respected or feared. Has seen tons of things his whole life that he can't afford (constant iphone adverts, tvs etc) - He doesn't think he will fit in at College uni anyway - Starts really hanging out with the older lads. They show him lots of love. Teach him how to make money, look after him, party with him.
Aged 18 - Selling dope at this stage was not enough so started selling hard drugs. Spent the night robbing. Wake up in afternoon to make a few deals and then more robbing in night. Hasnt spoken to or seen his mom in years.
Aged 20 - Is arrested for possession and supply and sent to prison. Gets released aged 25. Starts to change his mind a little about his criminal life. Tries to find a job but no one wants him so gets back to his boyz.
Aged 26 - Gets a knock on the door at 2am. Opens it and is gunned down. While he was off the street the younger kids got his patch. He bleeds to death in the entrance. He leaves behind 6 children to 3 different mothers.

Only way you can sort this out by giving them big sentences for the crimes American sentencing five years for just nicking a mopeds

The police don't want the bother. My mates bike got stolen, it took them nearly a week to come out, pointless ringing them, well, you have to ring them for the insurance, and most times you don't even get what the bike is worth.
That spray already exists, I bought one 5 years ago from Amazon. FarbGel, it covers them in a permanent red ink and is non toxic.

Few years a go I was walking home from work about 10:30pm I felt something coming behind me, by the time I turned around the gun was in my head, was 3 of them, one of them took my bank card and went to cash point to whidraw money, they got 8 years in prison to share, one of them was out in less then 2 years, got letter to say that I am not in title for money because I was not heurt, a money that I never asked for, that incident changed my life, I started to get panic attacks and anxiety, less then 2 years in prison what a joke!!! In this country if you don't pay your parking fine or your council tax it's worst then holding someone at gun point.

See the problem is the police can't win against anything... People slay them down for whatever they do, if the police pursue these guys and then the bike crashes then that means people get injured or even die... Then the blame is put on them. If they don't pursue then the blame is put on them again for not doing anything...
Police do there best to protect us and they are improving everyday... All I ask is for people to stop being so negative towards them.

This happened to me, my bike was stolen they caught the guy he got 4 mths I got £200 compensation 3 years on and to date not a single penny has been paid. my bike was worth £2500 now all i have is a pile of scrap, and he's out stealing bikes.......where's the justice ???

The punishment should fit the crime. If they throw acid, then their punishment is acid, plus a life long revocation of benefits from the state. This is what these type of scums understand, not the slap on the wrist the courts hand down. Their punishment should be in a public forum i.e., town square with the results posted on social media with a warning that if you engage in this type of activity, this is your fate. No acid used in the attack or other man endangering substances, then 10 lashes for the first offense and 10 more every time you are convicted of the same crime as well as the revocation of benefits across the board. Guaranteed to modify their behavior.

Here in Brisbane Australia, the police have Drz's with super moto wheels and can give chaise to anyone suspected of a crime. Bike theft is practically zero. If you brake the law it shouldn't protect you. What is a pissy little spray going to do really come on!
