So true, I know quite a few that cringe at the prices of Chanel....and these people have celebrity status friends and their own private planes and still think luxury is not for them.....lol..... They complain about pickup trucks being expensive so will purchase used ones and believe me they have money....
Someone I know use to frequent the Salvation Army faithfully. He would pay employees on the side to find him the good stuff. They would call him and load up his car in the back of the store. He did this for years.

Sometimes it don’t matter what neighborhood you go to … I went to a goodwill outlet in the ghetto and found lots of designer pieces.. I once found a max mara teddy bear coat brand new with tags that i sold at a for $1,700
I found that out a long time ago. You are soooo right , I once gave the wrong bag of stuff on a sat. Evening at closing. Went back early the next day, Sunday and they said they shipped it to another location and I new that was a lie because one of the ladies told me they didn't have a shipment to go out til Monday

Goodwill sends all the designer items to e commerce, to be sold online, so if you find something designer in the store, it slipped pass someone..unless its a Goodwill boutique store.
You are so right. They usually sell them using the bid method. I start bidding when it comes closer to the close of the bid. Keep in mind that there are shipping charges which inflates the total cost.
Just came across your channel. I used to thrift in goodwill stores in well off neighborhoods. Guess what? the well off people were thrifting there also. They would have baskets full. Most goodwill items are received from other donation sites. I make my best thrifting from small boutique style thrift stores. I kind of hate the goodwills. Their prices are kind on the high end. Especially since they are getting them free. Especially the clothes. The most I’ve seen nice quality shoes are probably around $10-12. Goodwill shoes be on the high end. Goodwill is usually my last resort.

You would love the boutique group. We are still in Las Vegas in Summerlin. It’s nice a lot of designs, namebrand and brand new. Yeah, my husband Farm brand new Nikes and I found my friend a nice coach purse barely used to have some nice stuff in Las Vegas and Summerlin.
Those home aren’t mansions 🤣, but yes they are large. Living in Texas, there are many neighborhoods like that, we would call upper middle class. Not necessarily “rich neighborhoods.”

I'm assuming those carts were locking at the beginning of the video because the store is using shopping carts that auto-lock when close to the entrance/exit in order to prevent theft. I didn't even know there was such a thing until I saw a video about it a while back.

And I know that here, ALL goodwill donations are taken from the store (or town) and deliberately taken to other stores/towns for distribution! The reason for this, so I was told, is so that people who donated things won't try to come back and get them back! So, you don't need to go to stores in the rich neighborhoods! What i do is find a friend in the back that tells me which stores the donations go to!!! Happy hunting!!!
Just asking...do you not use sold comps, sell-through rates, and bolo brand research to source, or do you just shop on a feeling, what's nice to you, maybe using Google Lens? Again just asking. I no longer shop on a feeling cuz the numbers don't lie.. I've sold stuff animals (highest $250 i paid $3 for)with markings on the tush tags, but our GWs now have stickers they scan.

I cannot locate any, and, I’ve heard that the overhead that takes care of receiving items, etc., will pick through first and take all of the new, tagged pieces and the best condition. I want the WOMEN WHO NEED it all to be the ones to receive it. How do you stop this from happening??? It’s because of that ‘practice’ they scam on, that is why I’m selling on PM. I can’t seem to get help with this serious issue.

Not mansions but large houses. Those people probably work every day & make a good salary or are now retired. They work or have worked for their money. They may not always buy high priced clothing, but some I'm pretty sure do wear nicer, more expensive things. If you go to a wealthy neighborhood, there probably aren't any goodwills around. Most people who are "rich" the money is working for them. They don't wear cheap clothes.

Those houses are too close together to be mansions. I would never pay that much to live that close.
