      Rick broke Changpuek's Jaw in the first round, knocking Changpuek down twice inside that round.
      Changpuek would adapt to his injury in the 2nd round, maintaining control of the distance and prioritize landing leg kicks.
      Changpuek won the fight in the 5th round due to Rick's inability to defend or counter leg kicks.

    • @BJJPaulos74
      @BJJPaulos74 4 месяца назад

      @@MizoMisualpa Eh? those body shots were few and far between ateotd. He took way too many cleaner and bigger shots to his face in comparison, that's why he ended up with a broken jaw and busted up face, while MVP looked the same after as he did before.
      Constant pressure is good, as long as you're not constantly getting punched in the face for it. How do you give Perry bonus points for that, it's not exactly ring control, if anything MVP fought were he wanted the fight to take place, not the other way around IMO. Perry just doesn't have the speed or the boxing skills to feint, cut angles and use speed to beat MVP to the punch. So he's left with hoping his chin holds up and it's a case of taking 3 or 4 punches to get one or two off.
      Sure MVP tired in that over time round, but both were gassed and it was still a close round, but tbh it shouldn't have even gone to that round. Most people had it a 4-1 MVP win before that. Even the biased commentary said Perry needed a KO in that 5th round. Also, I can't believe that there wasn't more made of that clear TKO that wasn't called in the second round, when MVP cracks him to the ribs and Perry falls forward and touches down with his gloves, that's a up 10-8 round but the ref somehow missed it.

    Such a close fight. GOAT always breaks em down with great intellect and non bias. It’s real interesting watching MVP who relies on a superior kicking attack, go into a fight like this and hang with a bonifide slugger in Perry. Even in mma, I always thought Perry would benefit even more if he incorporated a consistent jab into his game. Yes he is tough, durable, hard hitting and he is certainly where he belongs,BUT a jab would really help his game. Especially w/o gloves. He would rattle dudes often.

  • @Pnw208
    @Pnw208 10 месяцев назад +3

    Perry has caused me to come up with a theory that especially brake buckle having small hands is better for striking. Big hands are better for BJJ but Mike has tiny hands! Having small hands makes a smaller surface area so when the punch lands the force is dispersed over a smaller area creating a higher lb per square inch. If you have 1000 ft lbs hitting the size of a bullet it’ll go through you. Same force the size of a frying pan will knock you down but won’t penetrate. That said I bet mikes punches hurt more

    • @Pnw208
      @Pnw208 10 месяцев назад

      Look how tight Perry squeezes his fists too. Bree knuckle is different where you don’t want them loose till right before you land. To protect the hands you keep them squeezed tight as possible. He lands with his knuckles perfectly too. Even if the skin they cut you

    Update . Mike beat Eddie Alvarez but he didn’t make adjustments when it comes to his head movement, he ate a shit Ton of shots like always. Eddie never came out of his corner to start the third round I believe it was.

    Breaking down a fellow Brit's fight, DJ? Well done, old chap! 🐐 Seriously though, would love to see MVP fight in UFC. I see Dana left video evidence recently that he might be set to fight Kevin Holland in his debut. I hope it's true, that would be a cool fight. Potential for a future all-British welterweight title clash as well!

    • @fcboomstick
      @fcboomstick 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@devourprodable We'll see. Welterweight was the one weight class in Bellator with some top level fighters in their prime. Storley and Amosov would both do well in the UFC, as would MVP. I'd take MVP vs Rakhmonov, but his big achilles heel is strong wrestlers, so Colby and Belal would definitely be tough fights. Would be a great addition to the top of the WW rankings in any case.

    Isn't it also demoralizing to walk forward and be hit hard constantly? Also MVP's movement isn't so predictable because he is constantly fainting and countering off of his opponents biting on the faints

    Venom stayed moving backwards, landing some jabs and overhands. Mike pressed him and hit much more significant strikes. The owner of BKFC says himself that him and the judges will score based on engagement and who would win if the fight were to go on until someone couldn't continue

    • @SoyDuckHot
      @SoyDuckHot 10 месяцев назад +1

      ? Do you mean MVP? Perry is amazing at forward pressure and being tough as nails. You are describing exactly what MVP is good at.

    • @Pnw208
      @Pnw208 10 месяцев назад

      @@SoyDuckHot mvp has good foot work and angles. He also throws his hands from very low which makes them hard to see. MVP is like the opposite in every way than Perry but he has a perfect style for his physical gifts. Perry seems to stumble around the ring but he’s not. He never gets his feet crossed, his feet are always in position to throw power shots from the ground. He’s not fancy going side to side but he always controls the position of the fight. Ring control is actually a major factor in scoring boxing. Mike takes the center and pushed guys into the ropes. He doesn’t need to do flashy lateral movement to create good angles because his opponents are already moving lateral in every single fight. He uses their lateral movement and his forward movement with small adjustments to create angles. Go back and watch some of his mma fights. His footwork isn’t stiff looking like it is now. His head movement is better too. Even his fists are tight as hell now where in MMA he kept them loose. He has adapted a perfect style for this sport. It looks clunky but it’s actually very technical. His lack of head movement is to stay in position for offense just like his foot work. He takes shots but because his feet and body are always lined up to be offensive he wins. Mayweather was the best defensive boxer in history but bare knuckle is all about offense.

    I don't care for MVP but I think he won by points. Perhaps the judges are looking for aggression (move forward). Good to see MVP fighting again. I don't like him because of his extreme cockiness but he is entertaining and an excellent striker.
