Florida is in the clear in the short term from the active Atlantic. May have to watch the Gulf as August turns into September. More in the video! Thank you for watching! - Jonathan
My lawn in Port St. Lucie, FL, is the most green it has ever been. It’s usually crunchy, dry every summer. But, not this summer. Pretty much a heavy rain every day. I can’t believe the drastic, positive change.
Ah yes! Your way has been insanely wet this year. Meanwhile the Gulf side is in a drought. Drastic is right! - Jonathan
Yes, I'm in Tampa and it has been extremely dry and hot & muggy this Summer! Our lawns are beyond CRUNCHY.
I saw one of those models that had a Cat4 crossing over Central to Northern FL. Thank you for clarification!
Yes me too!
They’re nuts! Now something is 100 percent possible in the Gulf next week…just impossible to know where until it’s actually born. - Jonathan
Thanks so much!
That tropical system that went by us on Sunday, took all of the moisture here with it. Bring on another one.
I’m ready for fall and winter! We’ve had enough hot this year
Completely agree! Been terrible! - Jonathan
102 reg temp a few days this weekend here in north Fl- I miss the lower 90s
Amazing how much that makes a difference. It’s huge! - Jonathan
The other Orlando weather news studio is where Eric Burris works is showing the end of august something coming to the west coast of Florida and mid September something coming to the east coast of Florida that they have highlighted for possible landfalls this year.
That method doesn’t always work. Cycles are definitely a thing, but it missed a couple of times last year. It’s certainly possible. The MJO comes into phase which will promote more storm development. - Jonathan
Okay thanks. We will wait and see what happens with it between now and the end of august into Labor Day weekend.
Grass is fried. I am not using my well water. Much less water available in my well.
I do not wish to dig a deeper well until winter.. Why? Inflation.!!!
Agree! It’s terrible! - Jonathan
Ok but hope it’s not like last year when y’all said Tampa right up until we got hit.
Just to be clear…we didn’t say that. - Jonathan
thanks for the insight. I was getting anxious seeing all the other social media weather men hyping that area.
You’re welcome! It’s pretty terrible. With that said the environment will be better for development in the Gulf next week…but where a storm forms…no one knows! - Jonathan
Gosh... not your fault, but this is truly depressing. It's just sun, no clouds, no anything except heat day after day, month after month. 😢 I was watching a video of an Afghan Desert, and our landscape is the same. The sky is the same. The lack of clouds the same. It's hazy, gross, and hot... zero weather, just sun the last 4 years.
Ugh I know. It’s terrible. It should be wetter and cooler this winter cause of El Niño. - Jonathan
