I came across your video while searching RUclips for a review of the NKJV Spirit Filled Life Bible, 3rd Edition. This is exactly what I needed to make my decision to actually buy a copy of this Bible. When you spent time on a specific page, I could stop the video and look around the page and take in the information on that page. I discovered some features I didn't learn about in Amazon reviews as a result. I'm an old guy who has been using the KJV Thompson Chain-Reference Bible since I was 25 (1985) as my main reference bible. I've had some other study bibles, but the Thompson-Chain has been my main Bible. After looking at the New Spirit-Filled Life Bible an old friend of mine who is a pastor uses, I decided to look it up on Amazon, only to find that the Third Edition has recently been released. After the extended review you gave, I decided the Third Edition would go along well with my Thompson-Chain. Keep making these videos. They are quite helpful!
Yay!!! The Thompson is my ALL TIME FAV Bible since I found out about it. I love it so much! It definitely works amazingly well with the Spirit-Filled Bible. I think they both offer such amazing resources for studying the Word and together make for a powerhouse duo! So happy this video was helpful for you. I will definitely continue with my videos. @@DaughterofIncrease I case you are interested, Church Bible Publishers sells KJV Thompson Chain bibles with a nice Ironed Calfskin cover whereas Kirkbride sells them with only a Genuine Leather cover. Church Bible Publishers sells the better covers at the same price as Kirbride for the Genuine Leather. They only sell KJV bibles, and I don't know if you use the KJV. However, I thought I'd mention it. They sell this Bible in a Handsize, Regular Size, and a Large Print edition.

My Thompson was stolen 3 days ago so now I just use a pew bible that my Pastor gave me. My Church doesn't help members get study bibles. I work for room & board so no paycheck either. Being blind in one eye makes reading a challenge but I can see 9 point and above.I have been praying that the Lord will help me get this particular study bible. Please keep me in prayer for this. I have the 1991 version and have read this Bible for 22 years and don't want another one. The commentary is off the chart and has helped me when I don't understand something. I have had rebound twice.
I really love the calming way you reveiw. You show the bible as the though its right before us. It's still and not someone holding a wobbly jerky phone camera. It's so annoying. But you pause and take your time and it is so clear how to use the bible and what offers! Thank you! It's such a pleasure to view. I appreciate you

I have several translations but always seem to come back to the NKJV.. I paused your video and went to Christianbook.com and I had already put it on my wish list.. in fact, I had a brown and a teal marked and I just put the one you have on (Burgundy).. so when I can scrape the money together it will be my next one.. I love the way this is set up..

This was my first study bible I had back when they first made them....my age is showing😂 I have a Handy size original Spirit filled life bible its really cool but not Smyth Sewn but that's OK its still awesome. Nice reviews sister you do great!
@@DaughterofIncrease My first one was stolen out of my car in 97-98ish ...Whoever took it found out it wasn't CDs and I hope they at least used it or gave it to someone who did. It was in a nice bible case with a cool dove embroidered on it not a CD case like I know they had hoped for LOL😂

I can see myself getting this one - I have the 2nd edition (I think) but it's not in color and I LOVE color! I have so many Bibles but have been trying to use this one more to see how I like it before buying another. If you like guided prayer I like Face to Face by Kenneth Boa - vol 1 is a bit longer but each have Scripture (may be paraphrased or written to fit a person praying) then a prayer focus - vol 1 starts with thoughts on praise and worship then has more Scripture for confession focus then renewal then concerns with focus varying on family, unsaved friends, etc, then a different focus for government, missions, unsaved, etc then thanksgiving... I think vol 1 has 7 sections and vol 2 has 5.
yes, color Bibles are awesome and great for helping to understand especially with maps and images. I will definitely look into Face to Face. Thank you for the recommendation.

Hi hello i just want to ask a question. I just want to buy this third edition but before that just to ask if the thickness of the paper thicker than the old one. Because I have an old one the paper is very thin and problem is I have sweaty palm hand and it will easy tear the paper in the Bible.. so i am planning to buy this new third edition if the paper is thick. I like that it has so many other features . I have a journaling bible but this bible has all the study notes which helps when I do in-depth study . Is it still your favourite bible ?

Yikes! Lol that's a hard one, but the one I've been using the most is the Spirit-Filled study Bible. I still love my Woman's study Bible, but only when I'm doing a deep dive on a specific woman

Lol. I took debate for a year so I'm used to speaking so far. I'm learning to slow down in my future videos. Thank you! The 3rd generation from what I know only comes in the NKJV. The older generation is in the NIV
@@DaughterofIncrease Might be faulty, we had dust in one of ours that kept setting off the rest in the house cause they hotwire them together esp if you live in apartments . Good review by the way, I just got one that I need to review here soon so I'm checking out with others like about it. I think its one of the better study bibles on the market, some of these can become to overloaded with info esp for newbies. Much blessings to ya sister.
We definitely switched and reset it but it only worked for a day LOL. Just going to tell the landlord about it. Yes many Bibles either overload, are cluttered or don't offer enough lol. Can't wait to see your video!

Thomas Nelson is PHENOMENAL! I do my own nails, I do the salon maybe three months out the year when I want my nails to stay long and not break lol
NKJV is my favorite translation of the Bible. This does look like a good bible. I also want the She Read Truth Bible.
I have the SRT it's a beautiful Bible for sure. I wish there was more to it though. Yes the NKJV is a phenomenal translation

I DEFINITELY want to try Prisma Color pencils. I'll probably get a small pack at Walmart this year to try out for both highlighting and coloring

how have your faux leather Bibles held up? I have some but haven't used them enough years to know how they're gonna hold up long-term
I keep mine either in a Bible case or in it's box when not in major use. They have held up pretty great so far for me.
I used coloured pencils as my marking.
