Hey Robbie, when companies like DirecTV, Dish, Shaw, and Bell have free previews of channels, are they unencrypted or do they just give temporary authorization to their subscribers?

I love your videos and was curious if you have any on installing a C band or a Ku band satellite? I would love to get a C band, but somewhat too big for me. I am thinking of getting a Ku band but afraid I may be disappointed in what it offers. Your videos cover quite a bit. I use an antenna now and only indoor just because I do not feel like getting on a slippery roof in the winter if something goes wrong. I get 16 channels with the indoor antenna which actually is about all the locals offered in my area. I use to use outdoor yagi antennas with CM 7777 preamps, rotors and the whole works. Sad thing is I live in an area that my viewing market does not offer much anyway. The other markets are so far away even an outdoor yagi would not get. So thus, thinking some other route like satellite may be best for me. That is what directed me here. Plus I do streaming, but my complaint with it is that it is a pain when I have to enter a pw into a pay site. Oh and the buffering that occurs. Not to mention, it is useless if there is no internet and sad when I know I have to pay 70 bucks anyway just for the net. Ughh. Love your videos and curious if you ever picked up Youtoo America with any of your satellites? Sorry so long of a post, but I enjoy free tv. Sad too though I am a sports fan and still have to rely on a pay service just to watch my baseball team play.
you have a PLL LNB for c band. besides the big plus of high stability of the local oscillator what other advantages are there ? what differences did you see when you upgraded to a PLL unit ? thanks ! jeff...
Are stations like H&I, Comet, Quest, MeTV available for free by Satellite? I travel a lot and many markets don't have them on OTA own antenna. I have a Winegard 3lnb dish with DirecTV, can I hack the dish to get those OTA' s? My dish now lines up automatically on 119,101 and 99.
Dear Satellite Nerd i Lives in the Island Of Barbados in the Caribbean and i want to have a Free-To-Air Satellite System, i was wondering if you can give me some Tips on which Free-To-Air Satellite Receiver, Satellite Dish and LNB i should Buy, i want to know which Satellite from Space i would need to Point my Dish at, that would Cater for that Region of Where i Lives in the Island of Barbados in Caribbean, like for Example how about AMC 11 Satellite, Galaxy 14, 15, or even 18 Satellite, can those Satellite be an Option or what would you Suggest, and i would also like to know something else, i want to be able to Scan more than One Satellite from Space Like At Least 4, 3 or 2 Satellite or/and it's Transponders Using the Same Dishmoter Satellite Dish and LNB, instead of i having to Setup Multiple Satellite Dishes, would it be Possible that it can work like that if i get a DiSeQc Switch, Please Help Me Out and let Me know what i need to do, than you very much and God Bless.

Lets talk about crypted channels or the old scrambled video channels. Do any analog Channels are exist on the US satellites? I think there is no more analog Signal available. I rememember on the old singals and on the old satellites decoders. Tell us more about this scramble and/or crypted channels how they are working. The Problem between C-Band dish and Ku-Band dish are the Focus of the LNB - this is in C-Band a other then in KU-Band so the Fucus will not work at the same Center to Feed distance. Free to receive channel is here in Austria the ORF is the state TV station so you must pay only €52,66/2month (GIS) each household if you receive the channel or not! It is crypted in Irdeto but they are not interesst if you receive it or NOT!!! Only €52,66/2month that is €52,66 * 6 times a year = €315,96 is around 458,37CAD (Date 10.Jan.2020) I hope so that helps to understand the Idiotic Situation here in Austria. They steal your money from your wallet if you have 2 State channels and they are crypted in Irdeto. Do you can see Europe Satellites in Canada? What is the Eastest satellite that you can receive? What i realise is that you don't watch TV like a normal person viewer you watch TV like me to search the information and the how they make it inside the Videoinformation so i do! I'm right? Best Regards Volker
What would you recommend for a decent FTA or free satilite reciver? What covers both Ku and C band? I saw a 4 foot c band dish would that work in Northern Ontario Canada?
4 foot dish will work but you may not get signal on some of the weeker transponders that you can get with a 10 footer. Bigger is better with c band. I use my Z Gemma h7 from tek2000.com ruclips.net/video/o_GzNVnG578/видео.html it works well fast
Hello. I enjoy your videos. I cant seem to set up my gt media v8 nova receiver. I know my satellite dish is out of alignment. I have been trying to line it up for a couple of days. My signal finder tells me nothing. Something must be dead. Maybe my LNB is bad. The receiver got hit my lightning so i bought a new one. Nothing is happening. Help
Please help: Trying to point galaxy 19 my signal is always 52% and quality 0% . 1- Using V8 Finder to detect maximum signal, At Elevation and azimuth constant the Skew doesn't improve my signal. So, I changed the altitude and azimuth to see and 2- Altitude and Elevation doesn't affect the signal. 52 to 54% and quality always 0% ! 3- If I do a full scan on Galaxy 19 a list of channel is displayed after a full scan on galaxy 19 .... 00007 gal 19 04c80 V 29850 00008 gal 19 04881 V 29990 ... Any idea to find what is wrong in my installation ?
Depending on your LNB you may have to have the corect input frequency on a Standard it is usually 10750 or if it is Universal it is 10600 But it could be a LNB that I am not use to using and have some other input setting! ruclips.net/video/4BDFh41KFJ4/видео.html
You can try but I'm not sure what the input frequency for the lnb is. What I recommend is find out the park model number of your lmb and Google search to know the exact input frequency. Possibly 10750 if standard or 10600 if it's Universal. I think a friend told me that he can't get g19 with a direct dish. But unfortunately here in Canada we don't have DirecTV but we do have Shaw direct but it's a different type of dish. And different company

What is good on FTA ? Well it is like "Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder" lol I think you would like Hispasat 30W-4 ,30W-5 at 30W. There is a lot of great "world" TV news stations , foreign programing and foreign movies. Also Cuban TV ! I receive it on a converted Direct TV dish. Keep making those great videos. CUL Leo
U can get 97w on direct tv dish it has to be a dish called world direct dish the lnb for the world direct works for free to air I had a world direct dish it would do 97w and 103w satellites
FYI, your local free online selling sites like Kijiji, Craigslist, etc. can be a good source for finding cheap used FTA / C--band equipment. As well with the recent crackdowns with streaming services (Kodi), FTA devices might become an out of retirement source for entertainment if our Canadian providers are able to further their agenda of controlling our media. Bell's Fairplay BS should be a MAJOR concern for Canadians, as they are trying to remove net neutrality like the US has. www.michaelgeist.ca/2018/05/bellcrtcaccessfairplay/ www.michaelgeist.ca/2018/05/ethionfairplay/
I think now with FTA and OTA receivers that are under $100 HD + PVR (with a HardDrive extra) It is a more accessible mixed with OTA. I can see more people wanting to get a Big Dish and getting all the Diginet Channels that are on C band.
Agreed, I retired all my sat toys when major NA sat was taken down. I then moved to a method that works well with older Android or Linux devices. (Tablets, laptops, etc.) fluxustv.blogspot.com/p/m3u-list.html For any Android 4.0+ device you can use Lazy IPTV and MX Player to get 2000+ world channels like multi sat FTA does. Also an older laptop running libreelec.tv/ with Playlist Loader (A Kodi app) works as well.

I,,,am from India
it is good program 👍👍👍
thank you.
I use my Z Gemma h7 from tek2000.com ruclips.net/video/o_GzNVnG578/видео.html it works well fast
ottawaoctane Thank you could you recommend a good reciver?
Help
Yeah you might have to get a new lnb. Also with lmbs sometimes bees and other insects cocoons what not, to be made inside them
4:00 "But its 2008 as the recording of this video" :) I'll take it he meant 2018 by the published date of this video.
Please help:
Trying to point galaxy 19 my signal is always 52% and quality 0% .
1- Using V8 Finder to detect maximum signal, At Elevation and azimuth constant the Skew doesn't improve my signal.
So, I changed the altitude and azimuth to see and
2- Altitude and Elevation doesn't affect the signal. 52 to 54% and quality always 0% !
3- If I do a full scan on Galaxy 19
a list of channel is displayed after a full scan on galaxy 19
....
00007 gal 19 04c80 V 29850
00008 gal 19 04881 V 29990
...
Maybe you need bigger dish check your lb set6
Can I receive the US/Canadian Network channels on the Ku band satellite?
some I just posted a list of all North American channels
ruclips.net/video/t3jwzuVxnuw/видео.html
Hey there. You have some cool videos. I started with one about the cheap sat finder. Anyways, if you’d like to ruin your hobby, move to Australia!
Can a Direct tv lnb work to get galaxy 19. I have a gtmedia v7 plus that I just ordered, But cant pull in and channels
So if I'm understanding the ku/ka band is for USA channels and c-band is for usa and the rest of foriegn countries? Is that correct
The best is a c band but not everyone wants to put a large dish in their yard.
@@RobbieStrike is there a difference a c-band 8ft vs c-band 16ft. A 16ft seems to be a little much i think.
@@thebigmann81 yeah you will not need 16 only to get a few week transponders!
I use an old Hughes net dish and it works fine. It is hard as shit to aim but it does work.
what is the Input frequency? I thought it was ka band
How do I get paid channels with out the cable company and will it be cheaper?
how big of a dish do I need for getting Mexican channel in USA
Probably a 8 footer
can we please see a 2022 satelite scan update
I did a few months ago, Also goto TVrosat.com to get the latest updates ruclips.net/video/Ll917-MXG9U/видео.html

Check out my shop with the Started Package! facebook.com/pg/FreeSatelliteTV1/shop
Thanks. I bought me a new LNB and i got signal!
Water sometimes gets into them and corrodes the electronics
What is good on FTA ? Well it is like "Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder" lol I think you would like Hispasat 30W-4 ,30W-5 at 30W. There is a lot of great "world" TV news stations , foreign programing and foreign movies. Also Cuban TV ! I receive it on a converted Direct TV dish. Keep making those great videos. CUL Leo
Thanks Leo, People keep asking me Can you get 97 west with a Direct TV dish?
U can get 97w on direct tv dish it has to be a dish called world direct dish the lnb for the world direct works for free to air I had a world direct dish it would do 97w and 103w satellites
I had a 18in dish pointed at 72w and it would work to a point u get rain fade sometimes
But a World dish is not the same as the More common dish you can find in a scrap yard?
Where can I get the fta satellite kit

@@RobbieStrike you said that this was 2008 sir

FYI, your local free online selling sites like Kijiji, Craigslist, etc. can be a good source for finding cheap used FTA / C--band equipment. As well with the recent crackdowns with streaming services (Kodi), FTA devices might become an out of retirement source for entertainment if our Canadian providers are able to further their agenda of controlling our media.
Bell's Fairplay BS should be a MAJOR concern for Canadians, as they are trying to remove net neutrality like the US has.

(Tablets, laptops, etc.)
fluxustv.blogspot.com/p/m3u-list.html
For any Android 4.0+ device you can use Lazy IPTV and MX Player to get 2000+ world channels like multi sat FTA does. Also an older laptop running libreelec.tv/ with Playlist Loader (A Kodi app) works as well.
prime video is putting in advertising in paid streaming!
I appreciate there support!
Get to the point, I 'm old and don't the time to spare. If we are going to buy a dish, What dish do we get what sat. do we want, And what channels?
If your interested in KU band check out My Step By Step video's ruclips.net/video/F1r-SeJTm7c/видео.html
I do have signal intensity.
I cant get any signal quality.
make sure you have the correct input frequency for your LNB and the correct transponder frequency.
