    Very neat products. I never experienced it growing up but PCE is an underrated system that has been a joy to discover through emulation.

    Great video, I too missed out on the TG-16 in the past. When Krikzz announced he was working on the Turbo Everdrive Pro and EDFX, I immediately imported a CoreGrafx console from Japan.
    Just like you, I'll be using HD Retrovison cables on my CRT. Looking forward to checking an entire game library that'll be all new to me!

    I got the Humble Bazooka shells for both the Everdrive Pro and EDFX. They are both cool as they match the color of my PC Engine Coregrafx. The one for the EDFX is especially nice as it offers better protection to the device vs the shell it came with.

    Wow that's awesome that it can load Sapphire!

    Salut ! Merci pour cette vidéo ! impossible de lire les roms CD sur mon everdrive Pro (PC engine) en .cue (et .bin) Message : "Path not found". Faut il un autre format ? SGX ne se lit pas non plus... Merci par avance

    Quick question - my TG16 does in fact have composite output jacks on the side of it, was this some kind of after-market modification or something? I keep seeing videos where people say the TG16 only has RF out natively, but mine seems to buck that trend. Secondly, is this card just basically an emulator that runs on it and accepts micro-SD cards with ROM's so basically not that much different from just doing emulation on your PC... but it lets you do it on the OG hardware? I'm legit trying to figure out 'what' this device is, exactly.

      You most definitely have a modded console - I saw a photo on Atari Age of something similar. The card effectively acts as a cartridge - just one that can hold multiple games. Nothing is being emulated insofar as the game's execution, as far as the console is concerned it has a legit game inserted and it's running the code.

    You were so happy to show off the EDFX with its CD sound support, and then you pick a CD game you have to mute? Talk about a tease... :)

    Is there any reason to get the EDFX add-in if you're using it with an Analogue Duo...? My sense is no, but I'd hate to miss out if I'm wrong.

      I don't think you'll need it with the Duo

    I kick myself for selling my TurboDuo console years ago, great system.

      This wouldn't work on a Turbo Duo anyway. Only a base TG-16 or Japanese PC Engine

    This is amazing. I have a CoreGrafx II though. Would it work on that or do I need to get an actual TurboGrafx console. That's kind of a big purchase too

      I believe it will work on it just fine.

      I wonder if you need the edfx to get cd audio since the core grafx had the av-io built in 🤔

    • @benjib2691
      @benjib2691 7 месяцев назад

      @@outerspacebass If I remember correctly without the edfx you only get the CD audio in mono on the built-in AV port (due to how the TurboEvedrive Pro injects CD-ROM audio).

    It's weird the in-game menu does not work on mine, don't know why, I've set everything on. Also, can't find the cheat 😕

    Ridiculously expensive, my PCE bought it with the CD and the arcade card for $180 at Yahoo auctions Japan.

    It would’ve done better in the US if it had been the same form factor as PC Engine. They still could’ve make it black. But OH WELL!

  • @a012345

    How does it compare to emulation on a pc? Seems like it’s paying a premium to run emulation on the system itself.

    • @DavidClark-dkc
      @DavidClark-dkc Год назад +3

      It's not really emulation in that sense as the card is just providing the data the machine is running the software just as it would with a original HuCard.

    I didn't even know what a turbo express was.
    Thanks to the mister i don't have to get one.
    Whatever.

      the turboexpress is the portable version of the TG16. The mister is not portable. Now sure how the express has any relation to the mister.
