Yeah, Tom's style is and always will be the style that many generations can learn from. Plus his personality is so cool, humble and soulful, there are other surf hero's like Gerry Lopez, Ronnie Burns, Rob Machado ext, that share those same quality's.
The best in the business, I think. When i was a kid Tom was my fav. now 30 years later he is still my fav and now we know each other. Thats pretty cool.
I love Tom too. Nobody is touching Christian Fletcher at Trestles, unless you have a "reach the beach" format. At this time, judges were subtracting points for lobbing air OVER competitors that were paddling back out...... if you didn't "REACH THE BEACH".....

You are blessed to have Tommy as a friend I own 2 of his surfboards bought them years ago if I ever met him in person it would be like Meeting a movie star I would probably pass out
HI, It was filmed by my good friend chris gabriel, who was one of the videographers for lost. I think it was shot in 2002. I know its old but curren has always been one of my favorite surfers to watch. Tom is older now but he still is more stylish then most.
Tom has the best style ever, That Channel Islands surfboard is Tom's signature model called Black Beauty but I agree it's to big for those small waves. Tom can rip on any board though. Check out my other video's with Curren. He is my favorite surfer of all time.

Not even the biggest waves but hes using A board bigger than he needs to still surfing the hell out of the wave And I think a better style than Slater's in my opinion anyone disagree

I saw Shane ofarel windsurfing at led better beach in the eighty s.also I think he was living and wind surfing on one of the islands in Hawaii.

Timeless style. But the board looks slow and boggy. Wrong stick for the conditions. It kept catching a rail, too.
