In episode 322 of Cut The Clutter, Shekhar Gupta explains the ‘how, why and what next’ of these major economic reforms by the Narendra Modi government. And, does it matter if a cricket ball is red, white or pink if it brings people to watch Tests.

India is a deeply religious country. It is stupid to expect from an Indian to keep its religion aside while working in organizations of society.
its like pope doesn't engage in what Trump is doing, and vice versa. Very good concept in principle, but can be applied in a country which has homogeneous population, ie USA has homogeneous christian population.
So all in all this very concept is foreign to the spiritual land of India.
when all these things pointed out to the then government, they said our definition of secularism is different!
according to them secularism is "sarv dharm samabhav" !
Again nothing objectionable in the modified concept, India which has " vishwa bandhutwa" in its ethos, it is futile to impose a foreign concept with modified definition on them, especially when it is going to be used to appease the muslims and demeaning the traditions and culture of Hindu community.
P. S: Here the term ‘Hindus’ also includes individuals who profess Sikh, Jain or Buddhist religion (Article 25 of the Indian constitution)
The term secularism was never used in Indian constitution, until Indira gandhi forcibly inserted it during the emergency with illegitimate parliament. so does that mean we were killing the minorities, making them run out of the country before 1975? and inserting the very word in the constitution stopped us from committing atrocities on the minorities? If done right privatization can be a good thing
You have chosen a very good topic to discuss about. This is also the right decision of the govt. to disinvest as much as possible and invest the proceeds to create world class infrastructure and some of the social schemes.
I used to think SG was a biased and left leaning journalist like any other yet I continued to watch his channel. After watching multiple videos I sensed that this guy does make sense and is indifferent. Keeps his delivery clean and simple. Be it Arrey,Maharashtra political situation etc. Keep up the good work sir!You will have more on your plate after Karnataka by-polls results on Dec 9. Interesting to see if Yeddi's gamble was worth it.
BPCL Direct profit to india
Now direct profit to Ambani??
@Soshan Ihsan-Otty BPCL is a making high Profit. Saudi Aramco will be buying it ! Latter it will be sold of to Reliance. And then Reliance will do what it does best make money by squeezing the poor.
@@nirmalpauly how?
@Soshan Ihsan-Otty ecision to sell a 20 per cent stake in its refining and petrochemicals business to Saudi Aramco at an enterprise value of $75 billion has many positives for the Indian behemoth. They are already partners. Since reliance can't takeover directly because of the Open secret that BJP is run By Reliance funding. They just made a middle man which is Aramco. I work in Kochi refinery. It is the largest refinery of BPCL . It has been increasing it's profit every year. The government is selling even though it is in such a good state. Its just common sense that Government is making way for it's master to take over the domestic market .
Problem with Modi government they would waste money in all non productive and political schemes.
Shekhar Gupta is teaching a thing or two to Gen Z. What a treasure house of knowledge. Thank god for RUclips else we would have missed all this
As a token of advance UAE /Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries have given awards to Modi for selling Indian Petroleum market (including companies like BPCL) to them.
India was importing about 72% of its crude oil requirements earlier and test from domestic sources but now in after Modi became PM India is importing about 82% of its crude oil requirements.
A 4% increase in a big market like India makes a huge difference.
Government of India ought not to be in aviation / oil / railways , etc .
Privatisation is the answer to India moving forward.
Yes, selling all public owned companies to the Ambanis and Adanis!
Public loses, rich win.
The amount of research you do before putting out the report is really commendable
But I think to mobilise strategic assets( in case if we have to create strategic oil reserves) nationalised corporations would come in handy. Same goes for the plan to revitalize BSNL-MTNL.
Why did you miss out on the insertion of "secular" word in the same unconstitutional way? :|
Jnu too was found in 1969 and its too are attrocities of socialist & communist.
Thankyou sir for explaining all the issues in details, it helps student/faculties/aam admi etc in understanding the concepts n issues.
Sir if i may , can i make a small request to you, please provide solutions or way forward for the articles you discuss.
Please dont ever stop cut the clutter section.
Thankyou sir.
Iam always a fan of this kind of news presentation...old school and awsm
Do a story on Andhra Pradesh and it's capital Amaravati.
A big mistake to pirvatize BPCL. BPCL is a cashcow which generates huge profits and dividends for government. Its a short sighted measure and would help them get one time large revenue bonanza, but govt would loose dividends from BPCL in future, which would go to private companies.
Why govt should do business?
@@omprakashraja2300 The dividends Govt receives from oil companies, can be used to regulate petrol and diesel prices for the public.
Inspiring research, well drafted and convincingly argued. good wishes
Thanks Shekhar ji, was waiting for your viewpoint.👌
Marx : Abolish private property
BJP : Create private property
Govt Employees: Lunch time , counter is closed
All such Govt. employees should be lined up against a wall and shot. Madarchod hai saare ke saare.
Ongc is going to sell hpcl to the private sector that was also in the news
The govt didn't sell it to ONGC for no reason
I will be happy if that is done....SG
Shekhar: You are actually making sense. Wow!
Are Cut The Clutter videos available as articles? If so, where?
