What a team! You demonstrated the patience of saints. Then, as if it wasn't enough of a task you filmed and edited an amazing video. OMG that's impressive!
Hello from Colorado. Thanks for taking the time to film the removal and install, and for uploading it! I now have a '14 and a '15 G650GS. I hope I never have to replace my wiring harness. By watching the two vids beginning to end, however, I get quite the view of my bike that I've not yet investigated! (There isn't much that's unconnected to wiring.) Best, John
@@viajarMOTO but definitely one of those things that make you “the real deal” out there on the road. My repair kit has definitely grown watching you two and that “jumper” I got after watching one of your episodes saved my skin on a ride to and from Arizona where my rectifier started failing and my battery was drained.
@@KevinKeller-aka-Chef Thanks Kevin. We appreciate the comments and are glad that our videos helped out. Having spare parts and such has definitely made us more independent. Just yesterday we pulled into a gas station and checked over the mules. My rear brake pads were pretty worn, so we replaced them right there at the gas station, and 20 minutes later we were back on the road.
@@viajarMOTO Wow, that’s a quick change - my rear pads require removal of one of my mufflers, so that takes a little longer. Nearly at 40K now on the bike, so this winter might be refurbishing the brakes (new pistons, seals, etc.), resealing the spokes so I can once again go tubeless and getting some new tires on the bike. Next time you are in the states with bikes we should schedule some time to ride!
@@KevinKeller-aka-Chef That would be great! Our plan is to continue east with hopes of reaching North America perhaps next autumn. However, it was our plan to ride all of Europe in 2020 and here we still are in 2022. Lol.

Thanks Monty! Chantil has the patience. I have the electrical knowledge from a former profession. Together we have moments of brilliance. Lol.

My home state of Colorado! Thanks for the message and we’re both glad you were able to get something out of it. Thanks for watching.
Wow, what a lot of work
A couple days of work for sure.

Thank you very much ! This video helped me a lot , i apreciate it so much !
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for the appreciation.
so fun :)
Fun - Yeah right. Lol.
How did you connect your gps ? Did you go straight to the battery or did you go to a wire that is powered once you turn on the key ?
Our GPS was wired to the battery.
I could do this in my sleep 😅😅😅😅
I’m good at putting up shelves and fixing microphone stands but this kind of thing scares me!
Lol. It was a real pain in the butt for sure! Taking the time to systematically go through each step was the key.
Forgot to ask... Sorry if I missed it, but I assume you had to buy the harness from BMW. How much was that? JFG
Yes, it was a BMW part. $980 USD shipped from Germany to Romania.
Ouch!
