8:54 legendary food pop tarts - sits in your stomach like a brick - good if you need a nap 9:38 exactly “i ate two of those this morning and i was sick on my floor for an hour”. Sounds about right. 10:46 they’re my top 5 foods….😂😂😂😂 almost cracked a rib cracking up - this is pretty much pro standup comedy gold
Just do squat jacks for your shoulder “push”. You’ll get shoulders, legs and cardio! I just hit early 40’s I found compound movements keep me feeling young. Thanks for the inspiration to keep practicing.
Getting here late. I REALLY like Morel--I think it really benefits for the variation in tempo--very classy!
Don't underestimate the power of leg work and cardio. Experienced walkers are able to drop into a cadence between 100 and 140 steps per min with an unerring precision. The same applies for running - between 140 and 190 spm. It's dialed into your subconscious; you are your own walking, talking metronome. The other added benefit is - cardio lowers your resting pulse rate - you become your own walking, talking, guitar-playing beta blocker. Couple this with fresh outdoor air, a cool wind in your hair (have to pause here or Don Henley might give me a copyright strike), birdsong, and an ever-changing skyscape. What's not to love. Get out of that gym once in a while and stop breathing other people's exhaust.
Beautiful playing, I’m not a classical guy but that piece is definitely somewhere in my cultural experience. I think I watch you for motivation and camaraderie. I’m into finger style steel string whatever, advanced beginner I would say.
awesome, I was a pure classical guy but I got heavy into Leo Kottke, and Don Ross et al. I played a few of thier things. Classical and Roots fingerstyle are really two different approaches to playing and I love them both,, but I am glad I did classical, and always com back to it. You should try learning a piece or two? many eons ago, I saw Robert Fripp and the League of crafty (acoustic) guitarists(absolutely mind blowing stuff) I ended up talking to one of the guys. At the time I was heavy into classical, and we were talking about it, and it turned out this guy was a former classical player. You would be surprised at how many players are former classical guys.
@ I actually put a lot of work into a certain arrangement of Carol of the Bells, I’ll be learning it for some time. Seems strictly classical to me! But apparently a Ukrainian folk song. Hmm, maybe a classical adaptation of that. Anyway there are so many exercises within this piece, never ends 😊. I use the arrangement published on Utube by Sky Guitar. Advanced beginner here, thank you for responding!
@ I like learning from classical players because they the technique and music language down, and could obviously apply that to anything. Maybe I’ll learn an easy classical piece!
Love your videos bro
Thanks😄
One thing that really resonated with me from 'this is classical guitar' was saying that practicing technique was like practicing all of your repertoire because the technique affects all of it.
Its not really like that, If you pratice only techique exercises you just gona be good at techique exercises, from my experience best way to improve is repertoire, estudes, real music.
I used to do mainly techique and the improvement was minimal, now only with real pieces and the results are much better.
@@sauloreis3193 it depends on what it means to practice technique. practicing technique doesn't just mean doing exercises. exercises are designed to hone very specific things and if they do hone what they want you to they're very efficient practice but practicing technique can also be playing a piece at a slow tempo and really focusing on tone, fingering positions or tension in hands/posture while playing a piece which will translate into other pieces as well.
It's a balance there is no one thing to practice to improve if you focus too much on any one thing you'll get diminishing returns.
@@sauloreis3193 I've been with my teacher for 3 years now, and emphasizing mainly repertoire. I'm getting to the point that I think my technique is holding me back, so I may have to concentrate on that over repertoire for a while.
You should do livestreams where you roast your viewers and make sound effects with your guitar like the trumpet sound.
A couple things,
- I've always liked your cow picture. Did your Mom paint that? I got that from a clue from another video.
- I suck at guitar, but I've been improving a lot the past few years. But I theorize that to be the best guitar player you have to be an athlete.
(probably not necessarily true) But I recommend stopping ingesting garbage. Two rules: If God made it, you can eat it. If man made it, stay away. or, Imagine you are a god, living on a mountainside and your food is brought to you by virgin blondes. Only eat the food that they would bring you. That's how you will become a god on the guitar. Lots of good, natural foods with lots of protein and animal fats.
- Most importantly for your guitar progress, I recommend drum stick practice. I've made good progress since I've started drumstick practice. There are many reasons for this: It involves larger, fundamental arm muscle groups and I believe helps with mylenation of nerves up and down the arms. It connects both arms in a way that guitar practice alone does not. It gives your brain a new rhymic understanding.
I feel kind of silly saying these things to you as you are a much better guitar player than I am, but I've been wanting to share these tips for a while now.
I notice the change in dynamics. Good job
Cameron you gotta do the Segovia scales, absolutely game changing inmo!
In my years on the usenet group rec.music.classical.guitar, there was a lot of hating on Segovia scales. But my teacher uses them, so I do too. But I also have ABRSM. Barreiro, and Richard Pick, so I occasionally pull them out.
7:35 if you do legs you’re an idiot. I kinda believe that too, weight lifting w legs always ends up injuring me (200lb barbell squats = slipped disc)
Ever try Huel? Black Edition’s the shit. 40g protein 400 cal, and like $3 each. (Sponsor me!)
the change in your playing is extremely dramatic here in an amazingly good way, note duration philosophy ftw it seems
Thank you!
Return of the feet
okay what if i ask you about what you practice when you practice your scales :3 AND THEN YOU ANSWER :3 like what scales and how much
7:36 Something tells me this might be the least controversial thing you've ever said 😂
I would say that elliptical on high resistance counts as legs
@@lastchairbender7450it doesn’t
You can't be as strong as you can be without doing legs. I like you, but youre intellectualizing weakness 😢
Hey Cameron, happy new year. I am creating a new metronome based on a discovery I made recently. It’s called NPA METRONOME, check it out if you like
BRO THE ELIPTICAL BRURNS SO MCUH FAT ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY BTW AND YOU DONT FEEL IT
may? been? soem?
Unexpected feet content
I'm feeling grumpy today so....There is no human dietary requirement for fiber (or carbohydrates for that matter ) - eating processed foods is unhealthy, stick to foods that are minimally processed for optimum health. The Morel is sounding really good.
Carnivore diet Bro. Look up Dr. Ken Berry, or Dr. Anthony Chaffee. Because I’m a subscriber you are kinda obligated to do this.
