A pheochromacytoma, the condition Hawkeye's dad has, is a tumor in the adrenal gland, located atop the kidney. It causes excess production of adrenaline, & if left untreated, can cause serious damage to the body over time. It took me over thirty years, & Google spellcheck, to learn how to even spell the word, much less learn what the condition was. It's use was clearly intentional, an unfamiliar & complex technical term meant to convey a haunting sense of anxiety & foreboding.
