Everytime left eye part comes on, in this song, I get immediate chills going through my body. 🥺😢 same feeling when I watch Aaliyah rock the boat. Don’t matter how old I get. They both died 8 months apart on THE SAME DAY. Both tragic deaths. I love me some TLC. Left eye took that unique flavor when she passed. Sigh 😔. Rip left eye.
“Put in work If you don't want the girl to talk” Self-explanatory 🤣🤣. TLC baby!! Icons for so many reasons. RIP Left Eye, I like how they represented her in the video 🙏🏽
The Japanese scene in the video was dedicated to Left eye cause she was very much into the Japanese anime scene and influence of the fashion back then. Hence why her signed group Blaque was left eyes vision of what she wanted in TLC
I still listen to this regularly, it's on one of my playlists. I also like how the animated parts feature Lisa as a way to honour her. "Girl Talk" is the lead single from TLC's fourth album, 3D (2002). The song was written by Lisa and T-Boz, Anita McLoud, Eddie Hustle, and Kandi Burruss. It peaked at #23 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #28 on the Hot 100. Please react to their songs "Damaged" (from the same album) and "Dear Lie" (from FanMail, produced and co-written by Babyface).
This was off of tlc's album "3d". Left eye didn't get a chance to record much for the album This was basically the only song she recorded for the album. Other left eye verses that appeared on the "3d" album were vocal samples from her solo album, which went unreleased in the states. The beat isn't a sample. Kandi from xscape co-wrote this
no fr i also get chills everytime. it’s just the fact she said that when this verse is the only thing she recorded for the album and it was her last with tlc. it also stands out from the entire verse because it doesn’t match with anything else she is rapping about on the verse but that’s just me
The day you start reacting to left eyes solo album "Supernova" is the day I cry tears of joy!! One of if not my fave albums of all time!! Hits so hard dude!! 🌟💫🌟 best songs on the album are "Hot" "Life is like a park" and "I believe in me" but so many bangers r on there!! 🔥🔥🔥 thanks for the awesome reaction as always!!
It's sad. After Left Eye's death, TLC were no longer the top selling female group in the world. Yes TLC is legendary and they were the world's first mega selling most successful female group and paved the way for Spice Girls and Destiny's Child, even though TLC did not get the same push or marketing as Spice Girls nor Destiny's Child, but TLC has not been the same without Left Eye. Groups like Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Spice Girls and Destiny's Child will get more recognition and fame over TLC even though TLC was the bigger group commercially than all groups during the 90s decade (only 2nd to Boys To Men who ranked 4th on overall 90s artist of the decade while TLC ranked 7th). Nonetheless I love TLC. They are my favorite female group.
Tlc is still the highest selling female group in the United States and the second in the world. Destiny child will never be bigger than tlc. Tlc music lives on for the younger generation
@@carriel9954 Oh yes thanks for reminding me every one about that. It's just globally, they are behind Spice Girls. But then I was hearing that when they had the financial crisis with La Face, they were blacklisted and T Boz recently came out and said that they were blacklisted for years after Left Eye's death. Plus because they are independent, it is hard for them to get their actual record sales certified because they have to come out of pocket to have the RIAA and other global certification corporations to count and certify their global sales. I personally feel like TLC still sold more than Spice Girls, but them racist music executives won't say that. They did push and market the hell out of Spice Girls as a predominantly white female group that have a massive appeal to global Pop culture because of their whiteness, where as TLC didn't get half as much marketing and a push from the industry because they were Black and like their VH1 documentary said, LA Reid had expected them to be a 1 night girl group after their first album and not last after that. It is like media and Pop culture will say that TLC only sold 65 million records globally and Chillie and T Boz have to argue and refute these institutions and explain that they sold over 85 million records globally. I always see them go through this mishap during multiple interviews including one with Steve Harvey, BET, and That CBS celebrity edition special that comes on at night.

This song was released just months after lisa nicole lefteye lopes death and it was the only she recorded with them in late 2001 before she went back to Honduras in march of 2002 on April 25th 2002 lisa and family was driving in a red suv but in front of them another car was going slow so lisa trying to move in front of that car but when she move to another lane she saw another vehicle coming so she swerved and lost control of the SUV and ended up flipping hitting two trees lisa and other was ejected from the jeep lisa died instantly from her injuries while the others survived

This song grew on me a lot. Not one of my favorites but still a good song just was hard to vibe with it during the time left eye passed. TLC WILL FOREVER BE LEGENDARY. REST UP LEFT EYE. 💜❤
Clearly that's a lie 3 days before she passed, she was already in Honduras.TLC stopped recording 3D early January when T-boz got sick. They took a break Lisa went to Honduras in March and died in April
Yeah wzup jack man long time now again can you please do 2pac thugz mansion ft Anthony Hamilton because his whole legacy was always powerful to people the fact that he was gone, it became even more powerful. He lived through that song and it had a whole different meaning it was the spirit of what he left behind.
Love, Love, Love TLC, however, unfortunately, this song was NOT worthy of an initial 1st single release from an album. It was doomed from the beginning as the record label was forced to quickly change course in their marketing efforts post Lisa's untimely passing. Love TLC, but not a fan of this track as a 1st single release from an album (compared to "Creep" from CrazySexyCool and "No Scrubs" from Fanmail). Unfortunately, the unexpected passing of Lisa signaled the end of the commercial success of this amazing (and my all-time favorite) girl group.

"Girl Talk " is one of their most underrated songs .
It is and it doesn't make sense
Hands Up (second single) was a bop too.
@@artgroupie love hands up and Damaged - the whole album was good

The Girl Talk intro on the radio on the way to school back in the day😂👌🏾 the guys' segment had Wild Out by The Lox haha

I loved seeing their kids in the video. They were adorbs 😍
'Someone To Call My Lover' by Janet Jackson
