Early in the season when the surface temps are still cold we troll 10' down and 10' behind the boat in the prop wash and do extremely well for Landlocked salmon. They love the prop wash.
Hi Cal, thanks for the video. I live right by kiosk at Oroville. I'm going to troll around houseboats in my kayak (motorized). Will go parallel to bouy lines. Which rig would you suggest? There are so many! Should I tip with anchovies? TIA

Im not calling out or anything, but that cripplure doesn't seem to work, for me. Do they only work when you're on a real trolling boat? Outfitted with an outboard that has a "troll" setting and trolling motor? I've been trolling out of rentals, and casting it from the bank into rivers or just pluggin from the shore and have yet to see a takedown. I'm absolutely lost and need guidance.... I'm 1st generation fisherman in my family, no one else trolls or even wants to go fishing and it's driving me absolutely mad that I can't see any luck on any given day when I'm trolling.
I used your advice on trolling flys, I did good today on Amador lake today.

Well confidence means a lot but I’ve caught tons of fish on those spoons.... I’ve got them casting too....
