Itd be cool if they release a official card set that can be scanned into these with a update that let's you train a battle a digimon on here like the watch version and the TV show.
Cause yeah it's a neat digivice but all the cards seem to do is activate neat animations... what's the point if you arent raising and battling digimon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's not really the intention of the device to be an actual digivice. It's just a cool looking toy for those who love tamers and would like to have a nostalgic thing to look at and maybe even mess around with for a moment. If you want something to grow digimon on and to battle with there's always the Vital Bracelet, which is the newest digivice, or the X, retro ones.
I just got my Renamon D-Ark in the mail and I only have two problems with it. The upper and lower buttons stick, and all of the buttons feel like they didn't have much care put into the installation. For the amount I payed for it, you would think that Bandai would have put more care into the buttons. Second, the voice that says Evolution is not loud enough and it is not the more upbeat one. They picked the lower pitched one.
Nostalgic. I still have working red digivice 1st model bandai from Digimon Tamers. Now I bought 20th anniversary version red digivice. This is my favorite series. I watched on channel rtl2 20years ago :) It's a shame they didn't make a sequel
TBF, as much as I love Frontier to death and back, its main problem was mostly how much more important the main 2 boys were over the others, especially Izumi.
@@MegidramonX For me Digimon has been about the relationships between human and Digimon. It'd be like having humans transform into Pokémon to battle. Not to mention, I thought most of the characters' designs sucked and the version of the digital world was meh.
I grew up watching Digimon Frontier, and yet I can't overlook how they sidelined 60% of the cast, even loving it as much as I do. It honestly feels insulting as a viewer and shows regress from the past season, where all 3 main children get to the same level.
It was my third favorite as well as the last season I enjoyed. The reason people hate on it is that it got rid of the companions, which were a huge selling point for a lot of people. Also the humanoid designs changed it to more of a Sentai like show instead of Kaiju.
How'd you get yours already?! I checked Premium Bandai and it's only up for preorder. I already placed my preorder and it won't get shipped or "released" in November or possibly later
@@CardOtakuDesu I thought so, damn. Thanks I am gonna buy this expensive ass toy anyway cause I been wanting to own it for YEARS! but didnt have the money to be able to buy it without regretting it til now lol
@@CardOtakuDesu right , though it looked like when they were swiped it showed the card that was swiped on the screen, not sure if coincidence or it can tell. Sorry if I worded weird, autistic so putting thoughts to words isn’t exactly the best
Best guess is it's chips embedded in the plastic core of the cards that the d ark feeds an rf signal back and forth as you swipe. Sounds expensive but if it's got a small pool of readable cards then the signal can literally just be "I'm card number 1 of your library". Bandai does this from time to time for other toylines
@@CardOtakuDesu idk how they can justify the price tag of a Nintendo 3DS and not put in a full color vpet. I bought 3 of them at comic con thinking they had a vpet on it because it was literally next to the tamagotchi booth. I guess I'm selling them and buying the old vpet D-ark with the profits...

@@mckstellar1005 I ended up getting one. Walmart has an exclusive red version with agumon. The con of it is the battery life absolutely sucks and it takes a micro USB. If the battery dies, you need to reset the date/time every single time which becomes a chore. I do like how if you connect it to your phone you get missions. Some of them are like do a bunch of sit ups in 1min or jog for 1min. You _could_ simply shake the vital bracelet but actually doing it isn't so hard and it's a nice, simple workout. Great device when paired with pokemon go.
For a 130 bucks it's something that I would have to think about and plan out buying but it is really cool and I would absolutely love to have one of these to put next to my old OG electronic Pokedex.
honestly speaking, bandai is asking for a bit too much, but then again you cant compare it to a childrens toy when the original d-ark came out they also didnt cost that much because it was an actual kids toy. but these bad boys are more of a proplica/replica collectors thingy rather. also full color screen which the old one didnt have.
Got my Rika in recently, so glad to finally add one to my collection. Tamers is my all time favorite season.

Do you raise the digimon or is it just animations?

Finally, backlit and colourful screen digivice
It just a toy with voice and music. It doesn't do much like previous digivice which act like a tamagochi doing battle or training and feeding.
yeah its a glamorized mp4 , which would be fine if it wasn't so damn overpriced

There's a volume setting included. It is set to level 2 by default, but can go up to 4.

Great taste! Tamers is also my favorite!
why do Hella ppl hate on frontier, it's one of the best... the kids actually do something other then run, get caught and scream half the time

Oh yeah. Cuz the tamers were totally useless in a fight.
Where'd you get that mat?
So how it will fight?
I'm still waiting for my Renamon A-Ark to ship. From ZeninTCG. Do you think they will do the Digivice IC from Digimon Savers?
I think I'll be very possible during their 25th anniversary
This is amazing. If only they had an English dub music and voices version
Got it myself but it was disappointing. The volume is quite low and they didn't include Dukemon Crimson Mode instead of 2 of the same
The games not on the device? Like it only makes noises there’s no interaction game like with the d3 from back in the day?
Nope, this is just a prop.
anyone know where to find one of the basic ones from this version back in the day
You can hold the red button on the right and it will turn to card slash mode
Checked it and you are right but it's the left button

That's very awesome that they did this. Which did you get the other 2 d arc for rika and henry
Anyone know where I can potentially buy one of these?
But i doesnt have petting digimon right?
Why didn't they include megidramon?
Nice 👌

Mines from Pbandai Japan
Why they dont create this great HD graphics for vpet instead. This such waste of money.
Can I still get this from somewhere.
You can look on the 2nd hand market, but you won't be able to find it on P-bandai anymore
