    Amazingly done. Great utilisation of the available palettes by altering it,
    as well as succeeded in the compilation of shadows in few palettes

    You should put a squishy foam divider between the tin pallets by Prismacolor it'll protect the shadows alot better

    You've brought Jane Eyre on my radar again! Really have to pick it up sometime 'soon'.
    Also, I'm personally here for the non-manga content. I prefer the occasional children's book over the manga.

    I've never seen someone do this to create empty palettes! I usually but empty colourpop palettes, but that's so interesting. I doubt i have any palettes i could do that to, but I'm sure it will be useful for many!

      I’m pretty sure I first got the idea from people who transformed their cardboard colourpop palettes into normal magnetic ones! It’s such a handy idea :)

    • @RaniaMich
      @RaniaMich 2 года назад +1

      @@mymakeupnonsense but colourpop palettes are easy to think of because they are already palettes, and with a magnetic sheet underneath! The different boxes are kind of thinking...out of the box!

    I’m so into makeup violence aka depotting bulky eyeshadow palettes since several years ago. Remembering how it was popular to do so a few years back and then it seems everyone stoped making these videos I find them interesting for research and techniques tfs

    Thats so neat what you did. I kind of did the same with most of my palettes in the last year. I store them as depotted singles in the old palettes that I magnetized. Still keeps nice packaging around but gives the ease of having them as singles. Just to deklutter the dupes I coudnt bring myself to that yet. Making your own colour stories is so satisfying.

      That’s awesome! And you’re right, making your own color stories is so satisfying! I finally get creative freedom in that way :)

    I've been debating picking up some magnetic pallets to depot eyeshadows for a while, and it never occurred to me I could just pop out the trays in the elf 18 pan pallets! Mind blown lol do you have a link for the magnetic stickers you put on the underside of the pans? Thanks in advance!

    If you like the ElF lip gloss itself, I would depot it into a little jar. That is what I did with a chapstick I never used because the application process was difficult, now I use it all the time! Weird how little changes like that can make a huge difference in your desire to use something.

    • @mymakeupnonsense
      @mymakeupnonsense  2 года назад +3

      Little changes can really do a lot! Tho I don’t think I’m much of a lip brush or finger person for application. Thanks for the idea tho :)

    Love how you depotted all your shadow. I have tried it too but I struggle with repressing them into new pans. They keep breaking. Did you add any isopropyl alcohol while repressing them?

    • @mymakeupnonsense
      @mymakeupnonsense  Год назад

      Some formulas are more fragile than others and need to pressed down harder. Some just won’t repress well, often mattes. I do mix the powder throughly with alcohol before pressing them, it’s easiest when the eyeshadow becomes a clay like texture.

    Do you have a link to the magnetic sheets? Not always easy to find strong ones, so I'm interested to know where I can get these 😊

    I kind of did somewhat the opposite I depotted shaded and made them into loose eyeshadow and whenever I see a pallet that may intrigue me I use the loose shadows and some cosmetic oxides to make a specific shade or a diy dupe version of the palette so I save money and use what I have I discovered a great formal for making special sparkly shades that have a undertone color for 2 shadow looks

    • @mymakeupnonsense
      @mymakeupnonsense  2 года назад +2

      How cool! Creating custom shades is so fun! I tend to dip my brush into two shades if I want a specific color sometimes. Goes to show that you really don’t need every new release if you already have a good amount of colors :D

    Word to the wise, be very choosy about which shades you store on the lid of the tin, try to avoid shadows that aren’t VERY solidly in their pan. I’m super happy for you with this process though! I did this same thing two years ago, and since then I’ve been soooo much happier with my collection because I can see what I have all in one space!
    You should check out the channel Brains and Beauty, she does very fascinating experiments like “sampling” her eyeshadow collection and trying to make different colored metallic shadows from primary colored shadows, she is so creative! And I think you would like her content. ruclips.net/video/jZxdrmdXpzs/видео.html

    Why do you only have cheap eyeshadows? I had these brands when I was in elementary school 😂 they’re not even worth depotting and keeping, just throw them away and get decent ones
