Weird how Robert Earl had to act like he was thinking of a song instead of just giving credit to Townes.
i just saw John Fullbright in La Veta, Colorado on his way back home from a tour. I realized after watching him live that I'd seen him in this clip. He is so talented on keyboards, vocally, and with the guitar and harmonica. He did a tribute to Townes. What an amazingly talented musician!!

This was my favorite song on my first Townes LP (they were hard to get where I lived in Germany, it's a small wonder I even knew about Townes back then) This version is incredible.
Poetry. Townes was a genius. No singer has made me say "wow" so many times after actually listening to the words.
