accidentally posted this a bit early but whatever... Key things to deal with are handtraps, backrow removal, and forbidden droplet which are all non engine. The tenpai engine itself is not so impressive. Although it has some annoying quirks... A quick play spell that allows you to special summon a guy from deck is hella annoying.

Iv been beating them about 50 percent of the time with Vanquish Soul. If my deck were as consistent i think id beat them going first or second near every time.
Currently to make it stronger iv added a Horus engine. Works great but it can be problematic about 10 percent of the time.
Im currently labbing a Vanquish Soul tenpai list which legitimately goes super hard. I just need one more UR for Tenpai and i think its done.

@@phienex it’s a go second deck?? Anyone will have tenpai on the top of a tier list for master duel

@@erfshadow380 this is best of one format and mirrors exist... it's playrate is high but is the tenpai engine really that good? you are entitled to your own opinion but i personally think the engine in terms of going 2nd isn't insanely broken... although kaimen is pretty stupid, everything else is meh

bro this decklist is bad af, ofc u think tempai isnt that strong if the decklist is that bad
non engine is debatable and subjective of what u like /dislike but i wouldnt play gamma because it ads a brick
no ghostorgre in it is a no go because u cant interact with a opponents sangan summoning
    red reboot is questional aswell
    for engine
fardra on 1 is bad because if u drew it ur whole combo is basicly dead u need to save it, fardra plus chundra and ss over chundra then piadra
and 1 genroku isnt optimal aswell play 2 and 1 magmahut
    ED
u should run 2 bossmonsters and only 1 max 2 rose dragons, baron is a bad choice aswell because u dont have the aussault synchro in usually if u play gamma u use assault to get into baron. in that list baron is only possible with ur tempai cards and that u dont want to do, same goes for typhoon if u ever summon typhoon in tempai u can scoop anyway. so ether change typoon to assault or remove typhhon and baron and add more 7 synchros like kuibelt
    my sugession is
    maindeck
cut gamma (-3) add ghost orge (+3)
cut both cycoons add instead 2nd fardra and 2nd genroku
cut both red rebood add 1 dora dora and 1 lighningstorm
cut ether ghostbell or 1 effect veiler and add magmahut
    ED
cut baron typoon and the 2nd and 3rd rose dragon (keep normal rose dragon)
add kuibelt, 2nd bossmonster, hiita and prom princess

not even my list bro... i mean ED not being 100% optimal is fine if it has the core not that important. it does look like extra backrow hate was put in though? might have match made into paleo? whatever...
gamma is just personal pref so whatever.
If you focus on just the non engine tenpai dies to a gust of wind more so then numeron or mikanko(only ash comes to mind against mikanko for me tbh) for ex. not being ashable, and a lot of monster handtraps not being super effective against the deck... also able to play lava golem and sphere mode cause no normal summon required(when the non engine ties in with engine worth mentioning i guess, also applies to mikanko but they can lava golem you twice with the same lava golem).
Turn 1 plays with tenpai engine is also incredibly bad... But the one advantage it has is it can kill against an empty board more consistently.
In master duel if you're playing against a blind going 2nd deck the one i'm most terrified of is probably numeron tbh... in Bo3 i can see tenpai being better then the other 2 cause... passing on an empty board opp can't otk then otk next turn is giga sad. Whats a bit new about tenpai i guess is forcing your opp to somewhat make a board.

@@phienex actually isnt going 1st that bad in tenpai u make seals plus have a kaimen set is kinda ok (for that it is a blind going second) seals bounce plus summon magmahut plus kaimen summens chundra (or if not in bp genroko into chundra) and sycho into transedent in opponent bp is kinda neat otherwise u just can add heatwave and /or floodgate like warloard

    • @phienex
      @phienex  2 дня назад

@@undertaker8187 That is kind of contradictory though. If you run rivalry or heat wave that's pretty much the equivalent to running a driver if you're going 2nd.
Having the kaimen set is high roll but either way that's only one interaction(with seals). If your opp can read it doesn't really work imo. Mikanko, and numeron have stronger going first plays making megaclops which is a towers, or apollousa with 4 monster negates. Mikanko ends on a trap and untargettable mikanko cards which is annoying as hell.
i don't even want to know how disgusting these mirrors are... i'm just gonna assume they're dumb
