Replaced both of mine today after noticing gallons of water in the back of my cab. After watching your video and $40 for the cab exhausters it wasn’t a big deal to replace. New ones are a WAY better fit and design so hopefully it doesn’t happen again. Thanks again for the great step by step video!!
@@JoseGarcia-lu5nk I got them at my local Ram dealer, they only had two sets left and funny the parts guy knew exactly what they were. Like this happens all the time from the crappy original design!
Well, this was 100% my problem. I thought it was the window leaking, but today your video confirmed my issues after I removed the seats and looked behind. Great job!
I have been chancing this leak for 2 years now, did the third light had back window take out reinstalled, still water in cab tool holes, now i know the deal. Big thanks!
So I went to my Dodge dealership and the parts guy looked up on computer and said there is an ongoing Class Action Lawsuit in regards to this problem. He sold me the parts for half price $10 each and I am now going to look into getting on board with that lawsuit. The part was called EXHAUSTER: CAB
Can you post a link to the class action lawsuit about this? I have both of these ordered for my Ram and my concern is the water that already leaked into my cabin causing a floor board rust through issue.
Watched your video and had no problem changing mine like you did. There was no flaps on mine now I know why I had so much water and dust coming in. Thanks!
I thank you for the video. Tried other videos and got only half the solution. I broke one new vent, but got the second one in after watching this video twice. I was only leaking on one side so I am going to stick with it for now. My main leak was from the third tail light, but the gasket and vent I removed was gummed up and wet. I will be sure to watch out for leaves and debris in the cab/bed gap from now on!
Useful vid. Easy job to pop out old ones and put new ones in. Angled new in, pulled it in, and it popped right into place. Took longer to pull seats and sound insulation.
I just did this yesterday. You only have to turn the vent 90° and it goes through the hole very easily. Once it's between the bed and body you can turn it easily into the correct position and pull it back into place. Easiest fix ever for such a big issue.
Dude! Ty! I just noticed the wetness under my back seats. Doing this and just gonna replace the gasket in the light to. It rained a bunch in Cali recently so, it is what it is. I’m moving to Colorado where I KNOW I need to do this lol..
They go in much easier from under the truck. Pop the old ones out, drop a string down through the hole inside the cab down under the truck. Tie a knot on the new one and wiggle it through between the bed and the cab then pull the string from the inside. Done
I replaced the 3rd brake light an the rear cab vents worked great for about 6 months now its leaking again first time it was leaking from 3 brake light, 2nd time water leak it was the cab vents. Now hear I am again for the 3rd time having a water leak, an I've fix both cab vent an 3rd brake light
I also had a leak on my rear cab window. I pulled the interior back wall panels of and used a hose around the window until I found the leak. I put some rtv sealant and it’s been good for a few years.
Where can I buy 2 for 2017 Ram 1500. I’m tired of all these damn leaks all the time. Water ruined my headliner and now my storage seats in the back are getting water in
I know this is old but, when I bought my 2015 Ram I found a video that showed how to make the back seat fold down by cutting the bottom portion of the mounting bracket that slides up and down a little bit when you lift the bottom of the seat up.ruclips.net/video/Ve0clzeNqjc/видео.html
I just ordered mine today. 68323649AB was my particular part number. The technical name for it is Bodyside Aperture Exhauster. Once I figured that out, it was a lot easier to search for the part.
Thank you Sir. ruclips.net/video/Ve0clzeNqjc/видео.html Here is how to mod the back seat so you don't ever have to unbolt it again to get behind the seat. I did this when bought my 2015 Ram 3+ years ago and it works, no issues.

Thanks, u saved my day.
Awesome. This helps a lot as I'm having the same issue in my Ram. Just need to get the seats out.
Changed mine yesterday..pretty easy. 18 bucks for two..better seals.. better tabs on new ones..
got a link for the part?
Link?
Thank you for the great video. It was a great help while i replaced the ones in my 2017

Thank you, great video. I wish I could give it 100 thumbs up. This is what RUclips is for, sharing info. Great job my man.👍
Thank you for this video mine are leaking too!
If you cant get it through the space in between the cab and bed- get your fattest friend to sit on the open tailgate. That did the trick for me 😂
That’s hilarious 😂

I just had to do this to my truck. Both vents were missing all the flaps. The vents were $9 each at the dealership. Only took 1 hour start to finish.
Can you please share a link to the product. I'm having the same issue and want to get this fixed asap
All of my vent flaps were missing on my 2015. No wonder it leaked with2 huge holes in the back of cab. Thanks.

@@352ish I had to on my 2014 Ram express crew cab.
Thanks great video.
Where did you get the new vents?!!! I need them
How did you remove the interior trim to expose the vents?
Coupe acres then it just pull out of the clips . If I explained that right.
Do it leak down by the welds too? I don't know if the water leaks from the vents to the vents or if it's the welds
Where can I buy 2 for 2017 Ram 1500. I’m tired of all these damn leaks all the time. Water ruined my headliner and now my storage seats in the back are getting water in
I was able to bend mine to get it through. A couple of tabs broke, but they don't seem to have any purpose.
How did you get your seat to come forward?!?!!
Remove the 4 bolts holding it to the floor and the middle seatbelt floor bolt.
ruclips.net/video/Ve0clzeNqjc/видео.html Mod it and you can fold the back down any time you want.
Can you make another video of how to take off the back seat
Yeah, and make the bolts super rusty please 😂
I think the seat belt bolts are torque to yield bolts, so replacing them would be a good move for anyone doing this job

Find any information on the suit?
Just had my 2017 Ram 1500 put in shop for a leak they charged me 1000.00 bucks to fix a ten dollar part ,to bad I didn’t check out video before
Ouch that is steep. Sorry to hear that.
