The cutter fires every ~4 seconds, and the sections seem to be about 50m long, so about 12.5 m/s of production? Assuming 24 hour production, that works out to be over 1,000 km of bar production per day.
Almost 24 years in a steel mill, I do not get the lack of hard hats or people moving around the high speed steel going to the cooling bed acting as though nothing bad can happen. What am I missing here?
Steel CAD um its auto, this is not a forge press, where you might actually see some of that, and manipulations, this is just to size the bars, or flat role.
I was a Roller on a 10 inch and 12 inch Mills we used tongs to feed the mill , and levers for moving the bars over the rolls, It's my sense of humour LOL
OMG its so cute! i work in a rolling mill....a real one. this is like bite size its adorable. that "flying divide" is like a cookie cutter. theres also enuff scratches and bar shearing going on there to make a mill adjuster and ast. roller vomit......needs some work fellas....needs some work
+Andy Kap Looks like a shop in Russia. My money says its old stuff we used to use shipped overseas and bought for a good price so they can use it as such. No safety equipment is also evidence of being outside of the USA

+CrampedGrampy That guy smoking next to a gas bottle.
Here is a thought. Civil and criminal liability is probably not an issue given the perceived value of life and limb.
+Scott Croydon Yepper, might well be one part of the answer as to what we have observed. Thankee! for your additional thought on this.
Sadly, stupidity/ignorance here negates safety.
