Is this a rare case where we got a 'lazy' conversion where they used the C64 graphics and the speccy code & soundtrack? Still, a great conversion even though you could do a better AY version of the music (the ST version) and the CPC can do better graphics than that.
Well, the earlier non-plus version was no doubt a copy & paste version of the spectrum one. But by 88' System 3 was quite huge with a big dev team so the source code & graphics for all 8-bit games was probably written on something much more powerfull & then all ported over as good as possible. At that point they had become quite "commericalized". But i really dont know for sure of cause. Good version thou :)
Indeed, I think most people simply slipped the the ball part because what people really want from the game is the fighting part. Not that the ball part is bad but prehaps its a little bit too long too
