Cool video, thanks for sharing the location for future adventures. Nice to see you and Corie out relaxing. Personal view point, it seems like every channel of this genre are pitching products now, I understand that's how the $$$ are made. I have been doing this stye of camping for over 45 years, long before it started being called Overlanding. I enjoy traveling with a with an ice cooler (Lifetime from Walmart), single burner stove, and a cot. I like my journeys to be simple. Keep up the good work and hope to see you out in the Mojave Preserve this fall.
You make a great point. Partnerships and sponsorships help keep the lights on and help keep the content flowing, but staying grounded in simplicity is a great reminder and a wise way to move through life. (But sometimes gear is just fun. 😂)
Great to see you both in action, again. I've been out of sorts for a long while, myself. The vibe of this video is perfect. anymore relaxed I'd guess you were on a beach in the tropics. (I prefer the mountains myself too). Thank you for another fun video. That chicken looked YUM. Sweet little grill, too. .. Take care and be well. Hope to see you out there someday. Keep on Campin on. -Sean
This is by far the most relaxed I've seen you and Corey doing a video. Sweet! I'm planning a trip for 8 retired old fart friends and six vehicles through Montana this September. We honestly do some USFS/BLM campgrounds (pit toilets are nice), but really prefer disbursed campgrounds. You always push cleaning up before you leave and checking everything out before you go. I truly appreciate this. Please keep up the good work! Oh, you spoke about inflatable mattresses. Our group ranges from late 50's into the early 80's in age. You may want to look into camp cots too. The older one gets, the harder it is to get off the ground in the morning. Overlanding keeps us sane. Dale #12405
I live everything about this. Yes to cots! We’ve used a Helinox Cot from time to time. Boy are they proud of those things though. Maybe I’ll find an old army surplus. Enjoy your adventure!
Your channel was the first RUclips video i ever subscribed to quite a few years ago. As i had a 1fzfe 80 series here in Australia which allowed me to go 4wdriving in my home state but there was always something going wrong with it. So in 2018 i bought new Nissan Turbo Diesel dual cab and built up as a touring 4wd. And it has allowed me to overland as you call it all over Australia. So thank you for inspiring me👌👍
Great seeing you and Corrie on a trip!! Inspired Kirkland and to get out there again. We are overdue. Also in for the history video. My son inspired me to join OB 5718. We in for the next chapter! OB 191834
I would love that video, would also love a group trip! Would love to pick your brain, I do often rewatch your videos from years, and I mean years, past about set up, dual battery yesterday, case and point, but yes man send it!!
Personal experience, from this morning evening, do a "Stupid Check" anytime you are moving your vehicle. I may or may not have backed over my laptop while repositioning to obtain a better loading situation. (It is fine, just one more reason I will always buy ThinkPads.) (Also, it was in a laptop case.) Great video, Micheal!
Hi Michael I am from Dubai and accidentally stumbled on this channel. Awesome videos. Can you give more info on what brand / spec is that gas grill you used in this video. Thanks pal
When did you get the new house? Guess I've been away longer than I thought. Fun looking trip, and great find on those 'wild flowers' for Corrie. Glad to see people still include firearms in their outdoor recreation. Add a few fishing poles and it would have been complete. 🙂
I just got a SKOTTI grill and am excited to use it. I spent some time practising putting it together and it is a bit teicky. Did you spend any time before hand practising setting it up. I am delighted to hear how well it cooked the chicken :)
It cooked the chicken to perfection. I recommend having some sort of thermometer to get to know the temps. We didn’t practice setting it up but I wish I had! Really really love this grill! -Corrie
@@OverlandBound Thank you Corrie, I bought one 2 weeks ago and will do some more practising before hitting the wilds this weekend. It has gotten great reviews #8153
Haha! I come by it honestly. That thar drawl is my Humboldt County, CA twang. Born and raised. It's been coming back since Corrie and I moved to the country :D
This was a fantastic breath of fresh camp 🍻 Could write a book on the variety of hairdos 😅 Convinced Jim Carey is a distant relative?? Who knows... Always great content, can't wait for the history 🏕️
Its the one 27-33 seconds into the video. I REALLY APPRECIATE you responding! But it doesn't look the same, looks like your logo is punched out on the side, it looks way bigger and has like a grate on it in the center. Not trying to be a pain in the butt, I could be wrong lol. The one you sent was cool too!
We’ll get back to it soon. For now we’re anchored and providing consistency while the youngest enters his senior year of high school. Thank you for watching!
If there is one thing we’ve learned from other people about hitch carriers is you definitely get what you pay for. Would not recommend going the cheap route on this one. Buy once, cry once. Yakima Exo hitch system hits the radar to checkout along with the Pakmule.
Michael on the banner of the video, it's FZJ80 not FJ80. FJ80 were only in 1990-1992 with the 3FE engine. 🙂 Cheers mate. Love to see you in videos (and in person my friend!!!!)
Are you okay? This is not up to usual video standards very slow boring just a normal campsite . Why you you get such a bad mileage with your Land Cruiser? Surely you have a manual transmission diesel powered one ! No one in the right mind would drive petrol Land Cruiser…. I’m glad to have a 2023 Manual V8 Diesel Land Cruiser 78 outside of my front door waiting for Spring to arrive in a few months
I have never seen anyone pull out a pistol or rifle in any overland video let alone shoot. Awesome.
👊🏼
👍
And you nailed that little ant!
Can't wait for the "History of Overland Bound" video!! 😁
Hey Matt!
@@OverlandBound Where was John Snow??
Great to see you n Corrie out N about!
From the sound track to the humor and to the rest of the content, i enjoyed it all. Thanks.

Miss the content bro

Hey there. Do you store your food in the truck without a bear box?
Also, what does your solar charge? Thanks! Always a great time watching.
Great video! What kind of bat wing awning is that?
That’s the Overland Pros Wraptor

That’s a skotti grill. Hard the first time, but boy can it cook! Best chicken we’ve had, and it packs flat!

Wow, camping, fire pit and shooting your pistol. Is this really California? 🤩
What your kitchen setup?
pardon me if this question has been asked many times, what gear ratio do use in your 80?
Stock 4.10. Pretty disappointing on the trail actually if you really need some torque.
Happy mothers day Corey
I like that fire pit in your intro video. Didnt see it in "your store" Looks like your logo? Where can I get one?
That's one of these guys: bit.ly/3RCLIpS

So much yummier than those hot dogs....
Hahaha! Yup.
Wait, did you put the gazelle screen room over your t3?
Nevermind I just saw you take it down lol, I have both and was about to be 🤯 and the XPED is a must, speaking from that 40's club lol
I'm interested in that camp spot. Any chance you can share GPS coordinates?

@@OverlandBound Cool. Thanks. I had no idea things can be located by that method in OB1.
Awesome! And yeah, honestly prefer this method cause there is just enough friction to it. But once you learn the method, it’s very convenient!

Question: Interested in a Pakmule cargo carrier, need more space! Is there any other brands I should know about....maybe Cheaper!!?? Timmy C Arizona

Mike out there with glock. Right on man

Wow who’s this
Where did Michael go? anyone? crickets for months
i camp out of the back of a suzuki samurai, you dont need much to get outdoors
Love that efficiency 👏🏼
I think we are going to be history by the time OB history video comes out….
