"You're not too old and you're not too far away" both things I needed to hear today. Thank you so much, Clay and Peter!

That was very real and informative. I liked the 'mature' observations, for eaxampl, always bring something to the table. Every thing that Peter said and brought further into the light by Clay fell on furtive ears. You're always giving a candid and considered perspective on the industry - and that truly inspires writing neo-virgins like myself. Thank you!

Interesting comment about mapping out Jelly Roll's vocal range. Is that a common thing?

If you know you are writing with a particular artist, doing as much prep to learn about the artist as you can, is helpful. 👍

So this has nothing to do with age, location or buatjng myths as he clearly says he made connections whem he lived in nashville that he used to meet others at events, if he hadnt lived in nashville he wouldnt have those connections to use.
Basically go to as many songwriter things as you can and make friends with them then hope they pick you if they get anything to work on.
Its like everything, right place right time

True for him yes. But we have many other stories of writers in our SongTown community that don't live in Nashville having success. The internet has made the world a lot smaller! ~CM
