So this has nothing to do with age,location or buatjng myths as he clearly says he made connections whem he lived in nashville that he used to meet others at events, if he hadnt lived in nashville he wouldnt have those connections to use. Basically go to as many songwriter things as you can and make friends with them then hope they pick you if they get anything to work on. Its like everything, right place right time

If you know you are writing with a particular artist, doing as much prep to learn about the artist as you can, is helpful. 👍
